Matias Maccelli Extends Scoring Streak With Three-Point Outing

Arizona Coyotes left wing Matias Maccelli led all scorers with three points in Friday's 5-3 win over the Senators. He produced a pair of power-play assists and capped off the scoring with an empty-net goal. Arizona was stuck on a 14-game losing streak ahead of Friday's action, but Maccelli has found ways to stay productive during the team's bad spell, and Friday marked his fifth consecutive outing with at least one point. He's had three goals and four assists in total during the run. Maccelli is close to setting his new scoring record, having collected 43 points (11 goals, 32 assists) through 60 games. Matias Maccelli "OK" After Thursday's Exit

Arizona Coyotes left wing Matias Maccelli (upper body) isn't expected to miss a lot of time, with Coyotes insider Craig Morgan noting that he's going to be "OK" after the talented winger took a puck to the face in Thursday's contest versus Columbus. Maccelli needed major dental work to get himself fixed, but he should be ready for action soon. However, it's unclear if he's good to go on Saturday against the Jets. The Coyotes will be desperate to have him in the lineup after also losing Barrett Hayton (upper body) Thursday night. Maccelli has posted the fourth-most points among Coyotes forwards this season, scoring two goals and registering nine assists in 16 appearances.
