Carson Soucy Ready to Return Monday

New York Rangers defenseman Carson Soucy (upper body) is back at 100 percent and ready to return to action on Monday night against the Minnesota Wild, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports. The towering blue-liner has missed four games due to an upper-body injury. Rangers head coach Mike Sullivan has labeled Soucy a game-time decision. However, the team has activated Soucy from Injured Reserve, which is a strong indication that he will be in the lineup. Soucy has registered one goal, three shots, three blocks, and three hits with a plus-two rating in three games this season. His return will result in Urho Vaakanainen being sent to the press box on Monday.

Carson Soucy Lands on Injured Reserve

New York Rangers defenseman Carson Soucy (upper body) was placed on Injured Reserve before Sunday's matchup against the Washington Capitals. In a corresponding move, the Rangers brought up Connor Mackey from the minors. Before suffering an upper-body injury, Soucy posted one goal with three shots, three blocks, and three hits in three contests. Matthew Robertson replaced Soucy in the lineup against Washington, logging 18:08 of action. The Rangers must be without Soucy for at least three more games, beginning with Tuesday's clash against the Edmonton Oilers.

Carson Soucy Suffers Upper-Body Injury Versus Penguins

New York Rangers defenseman Carson Soucy (upper body) was injured during Saturday's 6-1 road win against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The physical blue-liner was limited to 6:35 of ice time in the contest. Soucy's early departure from Saturday's game raises doubts about his availability for Sunday's matchup against the Washington Capitals. If he can't play, Matthew Robertson will probably make his season debut. The 24-year-old featured in two games with the Rangers last season, recording two shots, one block, and two hits with a plus-three rating. In the AHL, Robertson has produced three consecutive 20-point campaigns, showing he has a bit of offensive upside in his game.

Carson Soucy Makes Rangers Debut Saturday

New York Rangers defenseman Carson Soucy will make his first appearance for the team in Saturday's contest against the Ottawa Senators. Soucy joined the Rangers only a couple of days when he was picked up from the Vancouver Canucks for a conditional 2025 third-round draft pick. This season, Soucy has recorded 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in 59 appearances. On the defensive end, he has added 92 blocks and 86 hits. Due to his limited offensive ability, Soucy is not a good fantasy option. Soucy will skate alongside Zac Jones on the third defensive pairing against Ottawa, taking Calvin de Haan's place in the lineup.

Carson Soucy Returns From Suspension In Game 5

Vancouver Canucks defenseman Carson Soucy will be back in the lineup on Thursday against Edmonton after serving a one-game suspension. The physical blue-liner missed Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Edmonton after being slapped with a suspension for cross-checking Oilers captain Connor McDavid to the face in Game 3 of the series. Soucy will be back on the second defensive pairing with Tyler Myers. He has posted four assists in nine postseason appearances with nine blocks and 27 hits.

Carson Soucy Suspended For One Game

Vancouver Canucks defenseman Carson Soucy has been suspended for one playoff game. The 29-year-old will be forced to miss Game 4 of the second-round series against Edmonton after cross-checking Oilers captain Connor McDavid to the face during a scrum at the end of Game 3 on Sunday. Vancouver loses a big presence at the back, with Soucy boasting 27 hits through nine postseason appearances. He's also occasionally helped out on the offensive end, delivering four assists.

Carson Soucy Expected To Be Out For 5-6 Weeks

Vancouver Canucks defenseman Carson Soucy (hand) is set for a five-to-six week spell on the sidelines. The 29-year-old was injured at the weekend against Toronto. Injuries have had a massive effect on Soucy's season, as he missed 23 games earlier in the campaign with a foot problem. He's been limited to 21 outings, posting two goals and four assists with 15 shots on net, 21 hits, and 39 blocks. Noah Juulsen is expected to hop into the lineup as Soucy's replacement on Monday versus Chicago.

Carson Soucy Out For 6-8 Weeks

Vancouver Canucks defenseman Carson Soucy (lower body) is set to miss the next six-to-eight weeks of action. He suffered a lower-body injury at the weekend while blocking a shot, and the injury will unfortunately keep Soucy sidelined for an extended period. Soucy has done a great job defensively for the in-form Canucks, and he's also helped out on the offensive end with two goals and three assists in 13 outings.

Carson Soucy Injured On Sunday

Vancouver Canucks defenseman Carson Soucy couldn't complete Sunday's 5-2 win over Montreal due to an undisclosed injury. He played 8:26 in the contest and registered three blocks with one hit before being forced to exit. Soucy has already missed a couple of games with injury this season and needs to recover by Wednesday to avoid missing further action. Soucy's quality mostly comes out in the defensive zone, but he's also enjoyed a decent start to the season offensively by registering two goals and three assists in 13 outings. Two of his points have come on the power play.

Carson Soucy Considered Week-To-Week

Vancouver Canucks defenseman Carson Soucy (undisclosed) is considered week-to-week. The 29-year-old had an unfortunate finish to the preseason, exiting the team's final warm-up game on Friday versus Calgary with an undisclosed injury. The injury will now delay Soucy's regular-season debut with his new team after he inked a three-year, $9.75 million deal with Vancouver as a free agent in July. He's had a couple of strong campaigns as a member of Seattle's defensive corps and should be a good addition for a team that gave up 3.60 goals per game last season.

Carson Soucy Set To Sit As A Healthy Scratch

Seattle Kraken defenseman Carson Soucy is expected to be a healthy scratch Monday against Dallas. The 28-year-old will miss only his second game of the season. Soucy is very limited offensively and has posted only 11 points in 65 games this season, but he has put in a lot of work in the defensive zone, registering 76 blocked shots with 122 hits. Jaycob Megna looks set to replace Soucy on the third defensive pairing Monday.

Kraken Snag Carson Soucy In Expansion Draft

The Seattle Kraken secured a strong group of defensemen on Wednesday during the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft and snagged an underrated defender from the Minnesota Wild in Carson Soucy. The 26-year-old scored just one goal last season but he added 16 assists in 50 games while averaging just over 15 minutes of playing time per game. He is signed for two more years with a $2.75 million AAV. The 6-foot-5, stay-at-home defenseman has an opportunity for an expanded role in Seattle after being stuck behind the likes of Jonas Brodin, Mathew Dumba, and Jared Spurgeon in Minnesota. It's possible that Minnesota and Seattle had a side deal to ensure that promising young goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen was not selected in the draft after he was left exposed along with Soucy.
