Colin White News
Forward Colin White has inked a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins. It's a two-way deal that comes with a $775,000 cap hit at the NHL level. Pittsburgh snapped him up after White spent the preseason with the team on a professional tryout agreement. With close to 300 NHL games under his belt, White has proven himself as a serviceable bottom-six forward, tallying 133 points (44 goals, 69 assists) with 411 shots on goal and 229 hits. He helped the Florida Panthers to the Stanley Cup Finals last season, contributing eight goals and seven assists in 68 regular-season appearances.
Florida Panthers right wing Colin White (upper body) will be back in action against Boston on Monday, starting off on the second line. The 25-year-old has missed a couple of contests with an upper-body problem. White has averaged fewer than 12 minutes a night for the Panthers this season, but he has still found a way to contribute with five goals and seven assists in 29 outings. Teaming up with Florida's top scorer Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Bennett will give White's fantasy stock a major boost.
Florida Panthers forward Colin White (upper body) is considered day-to-day. He suffered an upper-body injury early in Tuesday's 4-0 win over Columbus and there were fears of him being out for a longer stretch, but White luckily managed to avoid serious injury. However, the 25-year-old still faces some time out of the lineup. White is currently in the middle of a poor spell, but he's done well for the Panthers in limited minutes, notching five goals and seven assists in 29 games across the season. Multiple injuries have even given him an opportunity to spend some time in the top six, but it's now White's turn to head to the shelf.
Florida Panthers forward Colin White (undisclosed) will return to the lineup on Saturday, taking over from Patric Hornqvist, who is forced to sit out with an upper-body injury. White has been dealing with an unspecified injury of his own, but he is able to return to action after missing just one game. The former Senators collected four points in five games before taking a seat for Thursday's 4-3 win over San Jose, and he's been productive throughout the campaign with eight points in 10 games. Fantasy managers should enjoy it while it lasts, as White is unlikely to maintain his scoring pace if he continues to average barely 11 minutes a night.
