Elias Lindholm Activated From Injured Reserve

Boston Bruins center Elias Lindholm (lower body) has been activated from Injured Reserve and is eligible to rejoin the lineup on Sunday against the San Jose Sharks. The Swedish forward practiced on the third line with Fraser Minten and Mark Kastelic on Saturday. "Doesn't mean anything yet," Boston head coach Marco Sturm said. "We'll see, still going day by day." Upon his return, Lindholm will also likely rejoin the first power-play unit. He posted nine points (four goals, five assists) in 13 games before dropping out of the lineup due to a lower-body injury late last month.

Elias Lindholm to Miss Several Weeks

Boston Bruins center Elias Lindholm (lower body) will be out for "at least a few weeks," head coach Marco Strum said on Friday. Lindholm suffered a lower-body injury during Thursday's tilt against the Buffalo Sabres. In 2025-26, Lindholm has mainly been a threat on the power play, recording four goals and three assists. Across 11 outings, he's only had two even-strength points, both coming via assists. Marat Khusnutdinov, who scored a 4-3 overtime winner on Thursday night, is set to skate in Lindholm's spot on the top line in Saturday's contest against the Carolina Hurricanes. John Beecher will rejoin the action as a fourth-liner.

Lindholm was unable to continue following a collision with Sabres forward Jordan Greenway. If Lindholm has to miss time, the Bruins would likely promote Fraser Minten into the top six, while John Beecher might fill the open spot in the lineup. Minten could be an interesting name for fantasy managers to follow, as he has just begun to heat up with a three-game point streak.

Vancouver Canucks center Elias Lindholm (undisclosed) remains day-to-day with an undisclosed injury, but bench boss Rick Tocchet said he isn't worried about the injury being long term. Lindholm was absent from Wednesday's practice and didn't play in a 3-2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Monday. "I'm not really concerned," Tocchet said. Jake Guentzel Being Pursued By Canucks, Elias Lindholm Could Be Flipped

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Jake Guentzel (upper body) is being pursued by the Vancouver Canucks, according to Chris Johnston of The Athletic. With the Canucks being close to the cap, there are also talks about Vancouver flipping recently acquired Elias Lindholm to the Boston Bruins to make room for Guentzel. This could work out for all three teams. Pittsburgh should get some good assets for Guentzel, Vancouver would upgrade their offensive firepower, and Boston would get their centerman. Both Lindholm and Guentzel would likely see a boost in fantasy production if a swap like this happens.

The Calgary Flames have traded center Elias Lindholm to the Vancouver Canucks, marking the first big domino to fall ahead of the March 8 NHL trade deadline. The Canucks suffered only their second loss in nine games when Lindholm helped Calgary bounce back from an early deficit. His first assist came when MacKenzie Weegar tied the game at one. Lindholm initially struggled to find his feet this season, but he has been crushing it since December with nine goals and 20 assists in 27 appearances.
