Juuso Parssinen Fantasy Stats

The Colorado Avalanche have acquired center Juuso Parssinen in a trade with the Nashville Predators. Colorado sent out a third-round draft pick and minor-league forward Ondrej Pavel in exchange for Parssinen and a seventh-round pick. Parssinen has only been a bit-part player for the Predators this season, logging five points (two goals, three assists in 15 games. However, he tallied 25 points in 45 outings a couple of campaigns back and has shown offensive upside in the AHL. Parssinen will likely play more regularly with the Avalanche but will be limited to a bottom-six role.

Nashville Predators center Juuso Parssinen kept his point streak going with his fifth goal on the season Monday versus Calgary. He netted a 2-1 game-winner in a close game, matching a Predators rookie record with a seven-game point streak. The 21-year-old was a late addition to the squad, but he impressed at the start of the season in the AHL and has adapted superbly to the big league as well, notching 18 points across his first 29 career appearances. He was on the third line Monday, but head coach John Hynes has also used Parssinen regularly in the top six and the Finnish rookie was still on first power-play duty against the Flames, so fantasy managers should definitely keep an eye on him.
