Kevin Lankinen Holding Down The Fort Well For Canucks

Vancouver Canucks goaltender Kevin Lankinen has posted a 3-0-1 record for his new team through the first couple of weeks of the season. Spencer Martin (6 GP in 2021-22) is the only netminder to have enjoyed a longer point streak at the start of his tenure with the Canucks. Saturday's home game against Pittsburgh gives Lankinen an opportunity to register his first-ever four-game winning streak in the NHL. The Canucks appear to be in good hands until Thatcher Demko's (knee) return, with Lankinen starting the weekend's action with a 1.70 goals-against average and a .941 save percentage. He also has one shutout through his first four starts of the campaign.

Kevin Lankinen Gets The Nod On Friday

Vancouver Canucks goaltender Kevin Lankinen will start between the sticks in Friday's matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers. The Finnish netminder gets a chance to make his team debut after Arturs Silovs struggled to keep the puck out of the net in Wednesday's season opener against Calgary. The Canucks have kicked off the season without their regular starter Thatcher Demko (knee), who remains without a timeline for his return. Lankinen boasts a 45-43-12 career record in the NHL. He has previously seen the Flyers two times, going 1-1-0. Lankinen is expected to bring home the first victory of the season for Vancouver on Friday, with the bookmakers having the hosts as an odds-on favorite for the matchup.

Kevin Lankinen Ends Three-Year Shutout Drought

Nashville Predators goaltender Kevin Lankinen put in a big performance in his 14th start of the season on Thursday against Florida, posting a 33-save shutout in an impressive 3-0 road win. It's his first shutout since March 25, 2021, when Lankinen also blanked the Panthers as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks. The Predators' backup is now riding a four-game winning streak. Lankinen has done great behind Juuse Saros all year, going 10-4-0 with a 2.90 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage.

Kevin Lankinen Makes First Start Of The Season Tuesday

Nashville Predators goaltender Kevin Lankinen will record his first start of the season Tuesday against Vancouver. It will be his second appearance overall following a 40-minute relief effort on Oct. 18 against the Oilers. Lankinen gets the nod despite Juuse Saros' recent impressive run, which includes three wins in four games. Things went pretty well for Lankinen a season ago when he put together a 9-8-1 record with a 2.75 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage. He carries a 34-37-12 career record. Lankinen comes in at a tough spot, as the Canucks have played some very stuff early in the year and sit among the best offensive teams in the league with a 3.88 goals-for average.

Kevin Lankinen Faces Dallas Saturday Night

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Kevin Lankinen will record his 10th start of the season on Saturday against Dallas, looking to improve a 2-5-2 record. It's not been a great campaign for the Finnish netminder as he's registered a 3.39 goals-against average and a .882 save percentage. Saturday matchup looks pretty rough for him as well. The Stars have dropped five games in a row, but they have won eight of their last nine home outings. Lankinen has gone completely winless on the road this season, allowing 4.20 goals per game with a .859 save percentage.

Kevin Lankinen Starts For Chicago On Friday

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Kevin Lankinen will guard the cage on Friday against St. Louis. The 26-year-old makes his seventh start of the season and will be looking for his second win. Lankinen recently kickstarted a four-game winning streak for the team with a 20-save effort against Nashville, but Marc-Andre Fleury has mostly carried Chicago this month. It was a nice debut season for Lankinen in 2020-21, but he's failed to build on it, going 1-3-2 so far with a 3.39 goals-against average and a .884 save percentage. The Blackhawks have improved lately, but this is still a rough spot for them, especially with St. Louis winning five in a row in the matchup.

Kevin Lankinen Allows Five Goals in Chicago Defeat

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Kevin Lankinen gave up five goals to the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night. Unfortunately, he was hung out to dry by his team's defense or lack thereof. Chicago gave up a short-handed goal and power-play goal as well. There were at least a half dozen odd-man rushes allowed including several where Lankinen made highlight-reel saves. This game could have easily been 8-2 or 9-2. Lankinen faced just 33 shots but it looked like 53 at times.

Kevin Lankinen Will be in Goal for Chicago Saturday

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Kevin Lankinen starts on Saturday against the Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers surely were none too happy after playing Winnipeg twice. One gets the feeling that Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are going to be none too happy. Chicago is one of those teams that gives up a lot of shots. They allow more than 35 per 60 away from home. The goalie is 1-2-2 on the season with a 3.11 goals-against average and an .891 save percentage.

Kevin Lankinen Set For Second Consecutive Start

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Kevin Lankinen is in line to make a second consecutive start when the Red Wings roll to town on Sunday. Chicago picked up Marc-Andre Fleury during the offseason, but the Flower hasn't been anywhere close to his Vezina Trophy-winning form and will now sit for a second consecutive game. Lankinen has managed a 0-1-1 record this season with a 2.91 goals-against average and a .884 save percentage. The team has been awful so far, but Sunday's matchup is a favorable one, as the Blackhawks have won 10 of the last 13 meetings with Detroit.

Kevin Lankinen Takes On Stars On Sunday

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Kevin Lankinen will record his 37th start of the season on Sunday against Dallas, looking to post his first win since April 12. The Finnish rookie impressed early in the campaign, but he's had a tough time for a while now, and his record has dropped to 16-14- 5. Lankinen has given up 3.04 goals per game this season with a .908 save percentage and two shutouts. He should be eager to end his losing streak before the season is done, and Sunday seems to offer a good opportunity to do so with Lankinen having gone 3-1-0 against the Stars this season.

Kevin Lankinen Guards The Cage Thursday

Chicago netminder Kevin Lankinen will backstop his team on Thursday against Detroit. Lankinen sports a 16-11-4 record on the year with a 2.79 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage. The Finnish goalie is undefeated against Detroit in four starts. He has been solid between the pipes for the Blackhawks and is rostered in 84 percent of Yahoo! leagues. It should be a priority for fantasy managers to start Lankinen with the success he had against Detroit this year.

Kevin Lankinen Starts Tonight Against Dallas

Chicago Blackhawks tonight will be starting rookie goaltender Kevin Lankinen. He has had an impressive season for Chicago as a rookie posting a 14-10-4 record in 28 contests. Along with two shutouts, Lankinen has compiled a 2.69 goals-against average, and a .918 save percentage. Kevin Lankinen Tries To Beat Carolina Again

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Kevin Lankinen will go for a second consecutive win against Carolina on Thursday. He stopped 31 shots and beat the Hurricanes 2-1 on Tuesday to improve to 13-8-4 for the season. The rookie from Finland has posted a 2.65 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage with two shutouts. He had a troubling time at the start of last month but finished March with three wins in four outings, so it looks like Lankinen is hitting good form again.

Kevin Lankinen Tries To Slow Down Carolina

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Kevin Lankinen will take on a hot Carolina team on Tuesday. The Hurricanes head into the encounter on a three-game winning streak and they have produced an 11-1-2 record in their past 14 games. Lankinen beat Florida twice last week, but he has only three wins for the month in nine outings, so he's not having a great run at the moment. The 25-year-old rookie owns a 12-8-4 record for the season with a 2.72 goals-against average, a .920 save percentage and two shutouts. He will likely need to produce a special performance on Tuesday to improve his numbers. Alex Nedeljkovic, who is 8-2-2 for the season, will line up in the opposite crease.

Kevin Lankinen Hunts For Third Straight Victory

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Kevin Lankinen heads into Saturday's encounter with Nashville on a two-game winning streak. The 25-year-old rookie has bounced back nicely from a three-game losing run and even posted a shutout in his last outing on Thursday. Lankinen has two shutouts for the whole season, producing 12 wins in 23 starts with a 2.71 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage. Saturday's matchup is a tricky one for him, as the Blackhawks have a poor recent record against Nashville -- six losses in eight games -- and the Predators have picked up form lately with five wins in their past six outings.

Kevin Lankinen Makes Blackhawks History With Shutout

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Kevin Lankinen picked up his second shutout of the season in Thursday's 3-0 win over Florida. He produced 41 saves to become the first rookie netminder in franchise history to record a shutout with 40-plus saves. Lankinen had only one win in six appearances for the month ahead of this week, but he's now beaten the Panthers in back-to-back outings. He will look to stretch his winning streak to three games against Nashville at the weekend. The Predators have improved lately, but they are still among the lowest-scoring sides in the league with a 2.37 goals-for average.

Kevin Lankinen To Face Panthers Again On Thursday

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender will tend the twine as his team squares off against the Florida Panthers on Thursday night. Lankinen, who is set to make his 23rd appearance of the campaign, allowed just two goals on 35 shots against in a win versus the Cats on Tuesday. The rookie netminder continues to turn heads in a breakout showing this season - having registered 11 wins, a 2.83 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage thus far. He's the undisputed starting netminder in Chicago at this point and should be trusted to start in fantasy lineups each night he takes the crease.

Kevin Lankinen Backstops Hawks To Tuesday Victory

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Kevin Lankinen stopped 33 of 35 shots against on Tuesday, leading his team to a 3-2 victory over the Florida Panthers. The Hawks jumped out to a 3-0 lead just 4:22 into the middle frame, requiring Lankinen to stand tall throughout the rest of the contest en route to his 11th win of the campaign. The 25-year-old will be at the forefront of whether or not his team can sneak into the final playoff spot in the Central Division this season - looking for the rookie netminder to build off his 11-7-4 record, 2.83 goals-against average and .915 save percentage thus far. Lankinen will likely guard the cage once again in a rematch versus the Panthers on Thursday.

The 25-year-old rookie is having a very good debut season in the NHL, boasting a 10-4-4 record with a 2.72 goals-against average, a .919 save percentage, and one shutout. Half of his losses came with his first seven appearances, so the Finnish netminder hasn't let his side down much lately.
