Ryan Getzlaf News
Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf pulled the strings in Tuesday's 4-3 victory over Boston by dishing out three assists. He got things started on a Rickard Rakell power-play goal, then helped Adam Henrique to make a scoring return to the lineup and went on to finish the night with another power-play helper as Trevor Zegras scored the game-winner with just 22 seconds left in regulation. Getzlaf has managed to produce a solid bounce-back season, but fantasy managers can't be happy about his offensive contributions since the turn of the year. The veteran center has logged only six points in in 2022 prior to Tuesday's action.
Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf (lower body) is expected back in the lineup on Tuesday against the visiting San Jose Sharks, NHL.com reported. The 36-year-old veteran missed two games with a lingering and unspecified lower-body injury. Getzlaf has registered 27 points (three goals, 24 assists) in 42 games this season, one of the lowest stat lines since he entered the league in 2005. Despite his declining numbers, and temperamental health, Getzlaf has 63 points (14 goals, 49 assists) in 80 career games against the Sharks and will surely show up Tuesday against a San Jose squad that has lost six straight games.
Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf (lower body) will re-enter the lineup on Saturday against Pittsburgh, ending a five-game absence. The Ducks captain will play center between Sam Steel and Troy Terry. With Terry shining on his wing, Getzlaf has enjoyed a very productive season with 20 points in 23 games. He's already surpassed his tally from last season (17) and there should be plenty of more to come from the veteran, who's always enjoyed meeting the Penguins, going for 23 points in 20 career appearances.
Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf has been listed as week-to-week with a lower-body injury. The Ducks captain got hurt in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout win against the Kings. The 36-year-old has turned back the clock this season with 20 points in 23 games, so this is a big blow for the team. Sam Steel replaced Getzlaf on the first line in Wednesday's 6-5 win over Vegas, picking up an assist, and fantasy managers should definitely follow his progress closely. He has another opportunity to impress on Friday against Calgary.
