Sebastian Aho News
Carolina Hurricanes center Sebastian Aho ended a seven-game goal drought with his seventh career hat trick, finishing it off in overtime for a 5-4 win against the Flyers Saturday. He reached his fourth 30-goal campaign and only Eric Staal (5) has had more of them in a Hurricanes uniform. Aho also boasts 28 assists in 61 games. His scoring pace has dipped massively over the second half of the season and he was stuck on only three points for the month before Saturday's explosion in front of goal. The poor production has been a massive letdown for fantasy managers during a pivotal time of the season.
Carolina Hurricanes center Sebastian Aho had two goals and an assist for a nice three-point night in a 6-1 win over the Coyotes Friday. His first goal ended up being the game-winning tally and two of his points came with the man advantage. Aho now has nine points from his last seven games, although he continues to blow hot and cold, as he has grown his account with four multi-point efforts. Injuries have robbed Aho of seven games this season, but he still leads the Hurricanes with 27 goals and sits second in overall scoring with 55 points in 53 outings.
Carolina Hurricanes center Sebastian Aho headed into the All-Star break sitting on a career-best six-game goal streak. He started the streak with his sixth career hat trick on Jan. 21 against the Islanders and Aho has lit the lamp nine times in total during the run. His streak is also currently the longest active goal streak in the whole league. The Finnish star missed some time with a lower-body injury in December and settled for only three points in six games for the month, but he's looked superb since the turn of the year with 11 goals and six assists in 16 games. Through 44 games for the campaign, Aho has posted 23 goals and 46 points in 44 games with 138 shots on goal and a plus-nine rating.
Carolina Hurricanes center Sebastian Aho scored in a fifth consecutive game on Tuesday versus L.A., making it 5-4 on the power play in overtime to finish off the contest. He is now one of only three players with at least three five-game goal streaks with the team. Aho missed multiple weeks in December with a lower-body injury, but he came back with a vengeance in January, recording 11 goals and six assists across 14 outings. He had previously had a quiet campaign by his standards, but Aho is definitely rolling now, with his scoring average at a career-high 1.05 points per game. He has produced 22 goals and 23 assists in 43 appearances.
