Trent Miner Set For First Career Start On Wednesday
Colorado Avalanche goaltender Trent Miner will make his first career start in Wednesday's matchup against Chicago. It will be his second appearance in the big league. Miner's debut came in November when he stopped 12 of 13 shots in a relief effort against Washington. On Wednesday, Miner gets a new opportunity to play due to Scott Wedgewood's (lower body) absence. It's a good matchup for Miner, as the Blackhawks are bottom of the league with a 13-25-2 record and sit among the league's lowest-scoring teams with a 2.53 goals-for average.
