Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story avoided salary arbitration on Friday by agreeing to a one-year, $5 million deal, according to sources. A late-season injury ended Story's 2018 on a sour note, but it didn't take away from what was a breakout 2018 campaign. The 26-year-old hit .291/.348/.567 with a career-high 37 home runs, 108 RBI, 88 runs scored and 27 stolen bases in 157 games. He'll enter the 2019 season as a top-five fantasy shortstop and a top-15 player overall.
Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story didn't help much in Game 1 of the National League Division Series, but he's still as strong a play that exists on the Rockies roster. Story is hitting .295 with an amazing 11 home runs since the start of September, and he's a danger to every pitcher he faces. Not only must they concern themselves with his mammoth power, but Story's conversion to an all-around hitter this season will land him a top-5 spot in the MVP results. Colorado only tallied up four hits in Game 1, but someone like Story remains one of the few hitters who can win a game all by himself.
Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story (elbow) will be in the starting lineup against the Phillies on Monday after missing five games with right elbow soreness. Story might have some issues throwing in the field, but he should be fine to return to fantasy lineups for his bat. The MVP candidate returns with the Rockies pushing for a playoff spot with just one week left. Get him back into your lineups if you're still playing for a fantasy championship.
