Guardians Promote Doug Nikhazy To Triple-A
The Cleveland Guardians have promoted starting pitcher prospect Doug Nikhazy to Triple-A Columbus. The 24-year-old started 11 games this season for Double-A Akron, posting a 3.17 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, and a 25.9% K%. The command has been a concern after allowing a 15.4% BB% last season over 26 appearances (22 starts), but it has improved in 2024, down to 10.1%. The righty could make it to Cleveland in 2025, and as a former second-round draft pick, dynasty managers will want to pay attention to how successful he is as he begins to compete at this next stop.
