The 27-year-old backstop was injured when Austin Wells' bat hit Millas' hand during a swing, which resulted in catcher's interference. Millas will almost certainly land on the 10-day injured list and could miss the rest of the 2025 season with just over a month left of action in the regular season. Keibert Ruiz (concussion) remains on the IL, so with Millas now hurt, Adams could be counted on even more behind the dish in D.C. In 57 games in Triple-A this season, he's slashing .300/.351/.517 with 12 doubles, nine homers, 33 RBI, nine steals, and 17:32 BB/SO. Millas has spent a few brief stints with the Nationals this season, yet the results have been underwhelming. Despite this, Millas' Triple-A performance suggests he could be a solid big-league backstop.
