Justin Crawford Stays Hot At Double-A

Philadelphia Phillies outfield prospect Justin Crawford has stayed hot in the batter's box since joining Double-A Reading. Through his first 13 games, the former first-round selection has held a dominant .345/.390/.436 slash line with 19 total hits, seven stolen bases, and a 3:10 BB:K ratio. His three-hit performance on Wednesday evening extended his current hitting streak to eight games. The 20-year-old opened the season by getting his second look at High-A and carried a stellar .301/.349/.438 line there. The Bishop Gorman HS product has progressed through the minor leagues very quickly and has shown no signs of slowing down. Crawford is considered the third-best prospect in the Philly system and the 53rd-best in the sport on MLB.com.

Justin Crawford Records First Double-A RBI

Philadelphia Phillies outfield prospect Justin Crawford went 3-for-5 with his first Double-A RBI and two stolen bases for Reading on Tuesday. The Phillies' No. 3 prospect logged his first RBI at Double-A in his third game with Reading and showed off his speed on the basepaths as well. The 20-year-old can fly and has 31 steals across two levels this season. The son of former major leaguer Carl Crawford, Justin projects as a similar player with elite speed and a polished approach at the plate albeit with limited power. In a few years, Crawford could be showing off his speed in the Philadelphia outfield.

Justin Crawford Promoted To Double-A

Philadelphia Phillies outfield prospect Justin Crawford is being promoted to Double-A. The number 55 ranked prospect on MLB.com has performed exceptionally well through his first extended look at High-A ball with a .301/.349/.438 line six home runs and 35 RBI. He also stole an eye-catching 27 bases. He spent the majority of last summer at Single-A before earning a brief taste of High-A to end the season and held a strong .332/.392/.467 line with three long balls and 47 stolen bases. The former 17th overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft was also named to the Futures Game roster and is developing into one of the best base stealers in the minor leagues. Crawford is a name to keep a close eye on has he progresses through the higher level of the minor leagues.

Justin Crawford Has Two Hits, Triple For High-A Jersey Shore

Philadelphia Phillies outfield prospect Justin Crawford logged two hits, including a triple, for High-A Jersey Shore on Sunday. The No. 4 prospect for the Phillies is hitting .290 with four homers and 30 RBI to go with 24 stolen bases at High-A this season. The 20-year-old is a speedster just like his father and long-time big-leaguer Carl Crawford and possesses 75-grade speed. He also has a 55-grade hit tool, making him a nice fantasy prospect with the potential to contribute heavily in runs, average, and stolen bases. Crawford could be looking at a few more seasons in the minors but all signs point to a quick progression based on his performance at High-A this season.

Justin Crawford On Fire In High-A

Philadelphia Phillies outfield prospect Justin Crawford has been on fire for High-A Jersey Shore. Over his last four games, Crawford has gone 10-for-20 with one home run, seven RBI and a stolen base with Sunday marking his fourth straight game with multiple hits. The Phillies No. 4 prospect per MLB Pipeline is now hitting .293 with 10 doubles, four homers, 24 RBI and 20 stolen bases. Crawford is the son of Carl Crawford and lately has been putting up numbers like he his dad did for years in the big leagues. He has also changed his approach at the plate this season and has seen more success on flyballs, leading to less groundballs. Crawford seems to be clicking on all cylinders this season and has become a name that dynasty managers should start scouting more as he is projected to be in the big leagues by 2026.

Justin Crawford Enjoys Productive Stretch At The Plate

Philadelphia Phillies outfield prospect Justin Crawford, a Bishop Gorman product, became a first-round pick mere months after he turned 18 years old last year. The son of Carl Crawford dominated the prep circuit and has wasted no time making his presence felt within the Philadelphia organization. Crawford is an incredibly well-rounded athlete with enough high-level speed to steal an awful lot of bases at the MLB level. Between his speed, strong arm, high baseball IQ, and quick reflexes as soon as the ball is put in play, Crawford should have no trouble playing center field deep into his career. Beyond being a great fielder, he's equally impressive at the plate, showing an advanced ability to put the ball in play, then use his wheels to leg out extra bases. If there's one tool he lacks, it's power, but the Phillies reportedly like what they've seen from him in that regard as he gains weight and strength. The 19-year-old played in just four games last week but made a very big impact. He went 10-for-17, tallying two doubles and two triples along the way. Although he didn't draw any walks, he did limit his strikeouts to two, all while stealing four bases. The young outfielder truly can do it all and has the potential to be a potent fantasy option in the future.
