Kyle Bradish Cruises on Sunday

Baltimore Orioles right-hander Kyle Bradish continued his successful late-season return from Tommy John surgery on Sunday. The Orioles fell 7-1 to the New York Yankees, but Bradish did his best to pitch the O's to victory. He didn't factor into the decision after firing six innings of one-run, two-hit ball with nine strikeouts and two walks. After missing most of last year and the first four-plus months of this season, Bradish came off the injured list Aug. 26 and has logged ace-like numbers with a 2.25 ERA, a 1.00 WHIP, 39 strikeouts, and 10 walks over five starts and 28 innings. The 29-year-old is scheduled to face the Yankees again in his final start of the season next Sunday.

Kyle Bradish to Make Season Debut on Tuesday

Baltimore Orioles right-hander Kyle Bradish (elbow) will come off the 60-day injured list to make his season debut on Tuesday against the division-rival Boston Red Sox at Camden Yards, according to Jake Rill of MLB.com. It will be Bradish's first start in the big leagues since June 14 of 2024 because of Tommy John surgery on his right elbow. The 28-year-old posted a 4.91 ERA and 1.41 WHIP in 22 innings over six starts on his minor-league rehab assignment, although he looked better towards the end of his rehab assignment. Bradish is worth a look for starting depth in deep-mixed and AL-only leagues now that he's back, but he'll be a pretty risky streamer right out of the gates against the BoSox in Baltimore. He threw 89 pitches in his final rehab start and should be pretty stretched out. Bradish had an ERA of under 3.00 in both 2023 and 2024 and has a 332:105 K:BB in 61 starts over his three MLB seasons.

Kyle Bradish Expected to Start on Tuesday

Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kyle Bradish (elbow) is expected to make his season debut against the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday. Bradish has been sidelined all season while recovering from Tommy John surgery from last year. The right-hander got up to 89 pitches during his latest rehab outing. It sounds like Bradish is finally ready to contribute to the O's roster. It's unclear what exactly the O's are going to get out of Bradish at this point in the season. However, Bradish is probably worth snagging off the waiver wire for fantasy managers seeking pitching help.

Kyle Bradish Set for Season Debut

Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kyle Bradish (elbow) completed his rehab assignment on Wednesday, throwing 89 pitches over 4 2/3 innings for Triple-A Norfolk. Baltimore Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino said a few days ago that he expects Bradish to be activated off the 60-day injured list and make his season debut early next week. Bradish has made six rehab starts, working his way through recovery from Tommy John surgery in June of 2024. Bradish pitched around 21 innings throughout his rehab assignment with a 4.67 ERA and 1.33 WHIP, while racking up 25 strikeouts and eight walks. Keep an eye on his control as he makes his season debut next week. Fantasy managers searching for pitcher help or need a streamer can add Bradish in deep leagues.

Kyle Bradish to Return Next Week

Baltimore Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino said on Monday that the team expects right-hander Kyle Bradish (elbow) to return to the starting rotation on Aug. 25, 26 or 27 from Monday through Wednesday in a home series against the division-rival Boston Red Sox. Bradish has been on the 60-day injured list all year as he recovers from Tommy John surgery that he had in June of last year. The 28-year-old will make one more minor-league rehab start before being activated. The O's have to be encouraged after he struck out nine in five scoreless innings in his last rehab start with Triple-A Norfolk. Although Bradish only made eight starts last year, fantasy managers shouldn't ignore him to close out the year after he posted a 2.81 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 221:59 K:BB in 208 innings over 38 starts in 2023 and 2024. His first start next week against Boston will be one to avoid for fantasy purposes, though.

Kyle Bradish Excellent in Rehab Start

Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kyle Bradish (elbow) looked sharp on the mound during his rehab start with Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday. Bradish tossed five scoreless innings, allowing two hits, while striking out nine batters. This outing marked his fifth overall rehab start and his third with Norfolk. He worked his way up to 74 pitches during this start. That being said, Bradish will likely do one more start with Norfolk before likely rejoining the O's rotation. Fantasy managers looking for a stash option to help their pitching might want to add Bradish.

Kyle Bradish Expected to Make At Least One More Rehab Start

Baltimore Orioles right-hander Kyle Bradish (elbow) is expected to make at least one more rehab start before returning from the 60-day injured list, MLB.com reports. Bradish has worked 12 1/3 innings over four minor league starts, producing a subpar 6.57 ERA and 1.54 WHIP. While his numbers appear rough on the surface, his 3.57 FIP and 3.50 xFIP suggest some signs of positive regression. His 9.49 K/9 and 2.92 BB/9 both line up with his career numbers. At this time, it's not yet clear whether Bradish will require one more start or multiple starts. He threw 69 pitches in his recent outing. Should Bradish get called up after his final rehab start, he could provide fantasy managers with a solid arm down the stretch. That being said, he would have to hit the ground running and produce at a decently high level right away for fantasy managers to have complete trust. The Orioles (53-65) are firmly out of playoff contention, so they have little incentive to rush Bradish. Currently, he remains a decent IL stash with some upside.

Kyle Bradish Throws 57 Pitches in Triple-A Rehab Start

Baltimore Orioles right-hander Kyle Bradish (elbow) struggled in his first rehab start at the Triple-A level on Sunday. Bradish, who's working back from June 2024 Tommy John surgery, allowed seven runs (five earned) on six hits with 3:1 K:BB over three innings. The 28-year-old didn't get the results he wanted, but the good news is that he built up to 57 pitches (36 strikes) after amassing 38 in his previous rehab outing on Tuesday in Double-A ball. Bradish figures to need at least a couple more rehab starts before returning to the Orioles. He'll rejoin the O's rotation with a career 3.56 ERA, 9.18 K/9, and 2.9 BB/9 across 61 starts and 325 2/3 frames.

Kyle Bradish's Rehab Assignment Moved to Triple-A Norfolk

Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kyle Bradish (elbow) will continue his rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk. The 28-year-old was assigned to the Tides on Sunday after making two rehab starts thus far, one at High-A and another at Double-A. He's looked good in his limited sample, allowing one earned run on three hits and a walk while striking out six in 5 2/3 innings of work. The righty will need a few more rehab starts to get his pitch count up, as he only threw 38 pitches the last time out, but could rejoin the O's in late August or early September, just in time to help fantasy managers in need of pitching down the stretch run and into the fantasy playoffs, so interested managers should consider stashing in an IL spot until then.

Kyle Bradish Sharp in Rehab Outing

Baltimore Orioles right-hander Kyle Bradish (elbow) made his second rehab start for Double-A Chesapeake on Tuesday and was sharp, allowing one hit and no walks in 3 2/3 shutout innings. He struck out two and threw 38 pitches, 24 of them being strikes. While this was an encouraging outing for the Orioles and Bradish, he is still likely another three or four rehab starts away from rejoining the big-league club, at minimum, putting him on track to return sometime in mid-to-late August. If your team can afford to stash him on the injured list, you should do so. During the 2024 season, he posted an impressive 2.75 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and a 12.13 K/9 in 39 1/3 innings pitched. While the sample size is small, he had a 2.83 ERA in 2023 in 168 2/3 innings pitched.
