The 30-year-old southpaw reliever has been pretty good in his small sample size at the major-league level with a 1.83 ERA (3.97 FIP) and 1.07 WHIP with nine walks and 20 strikeouts in 19 2/3 innings. Gage had a 4.58 ERA and 1.63 WHIP with 20 walks and 39 strikeouts in 37 1/3 relief innings last year at Triple-A Sugar Land.
