Minnesota Twins infielder Luis Arraez (ankle) has healed enough to put himself in the conversation to make the roster for the American League Division Series against the Yankees, which starts on Friday. The 22-year-old has done nothing but hit in his first taste of the majors this year, slashing .334/.399/.439 with four home runs and 28 RBI in 92 games for the Twinkies. Having his bat around in the divisional series would be big for the Twins as they try to upset the Bronx Bombers.
Minnesota Twins second baseman Luis Arraez is not in the starting lineup Wednesday against the Boston Red Sox. Arraez owns a stellar .343/.408/.445 slash line over 71 games this season, and while all the counting stats may not be there, he is a very solid AL-only option and should be considered in deeper mixed leagues as well. Jonathan Schoop will man second and bat eighth against left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez. Schoop has a solid .284/.361/.611 slash line against left-handed pitching this season and wouldn't be the worst fantasy option, but keep in mind Rodriguez has only allowed three runs over his last three starts. Something has to give.
Minnesota Twins second baseman Luis Arraez stayed hot in a 13-6 win over the Texas Rangers on Thursday. Arraez went 3-for-5 with a double, a homer, two runs, and three RBI in the win. The rookie infielder has been extremely impressive this season, stealing the everyday second baseman job from veteran Jonathan Schoop and producing in a loaded Minnesota lineup. Arraez is hitting .355 with 10 doubles, three homers, 34 runs, 19 RBI, and one steal. At this point, Arraez needs to be owned in all leagues while he's hot at the plate.
