This isn't a needle-moving deal from a fantasy perspective, as the defense-first Fortes hasn't produced much offense since he debuted in 2021. The 28-year-old is a career .225/.277/.344 hitter over 1,073 plate appearances. Fortes has racked up 141 trips to the plate this season and batted .240/.288/.439 with two homers, 10 RBI, and 11 runs scored.
