Milwaukee Brewers infielder Andruw Monasterio (head) is back in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. The 25-year-old was pulled out of Sunday's contest after getting hit in the head on a pickoff attempt. It appears he has avoided serious injury and will return to the field on Monday. Monasterio will bat second and play second base versus lefty Andrew Abbott on Monday. Monasterio has been hot since being called up, so we'll see what he can do versus the rookie left-hander here.

Unfortunately, Monasterio's day went downhill from there, as he was forced to exit the game after accidentally getting hit in the head by Will Benson during a pickoff attempt. The 26-year-old complained of a "slight headache" and will undergo an exam to determine the extent of the injury, meaning his availability for Monday's finale with Cincinnati is up in the air. Monasterio was replaced by Mike Brosseau, who went hitless in three at-bats.
