Tai Peete Heating Up At The Plate

Seattle Mariners infield prospect Tai Peete has begun to heat up at the plate after being in a slump in the start of the month. In his past 12 games, the 19-year-old has been carrying an excellent .327/.386/.581 slash line with five doubles, one triple, one home run and 10 RBI. In addition, during this span, Peete has swiped an eye-catching 10 bags with a 6:15 BB:K ratio. Prior to this stretch, the former 2023 draft pick held a .118/.210/.206 line through the first nine games of the month with just two extra-base hits. Overall, through his first extended look at Single-A ball, Peete has looked quite sharp boasting a .262/.338/.394 line with 22 doubles, six home runs, and 39 stolen bases. Dynasty managers should pay close attention to Peete as he could be in contention for a late-season promotion to High-A. He currently sits as the No. 11 prospect in a deep Seattle system on MLB.com.

Tai Peete Continues To Showcase Contact Skills At Single-A

Seattle Mariners third base/shortstop prospect Tai Peete has continued to showcase high-upside contact skills throughout his second season at Single-A and is making a case to be moved up to High-A. In his last eight games, he has held a strong .303/.378/.364 line with 10 total hits. Earlier this season, he held an eight-game hitting streak in June and an eye-catching 13-game hitting streak in May. Peete has logged 83 games at the Single-A level over the past two summers and has shown he is ready to move up. However, Seattle may want him to continue to add some power to his game before being promoted, as he has only gone deep three times in the past two summers.

Tai Peete Extends Hitting Streak To Nine Games, Swipes Three Bags On Thursday

Seattle Mariners third base/shortstop prospect Tai Peete tallied two hits with three stolen bases on Thursday to extend his hitting streak to three games. Peete has also now swiped at least one bag in each of his past three games. Since the start of this incredible run, the 18-year-old has posted a .382 AVG with 13 total hits and seven total bases in just nine games. Peete got a small taste of Single-A ball last summer and has remained their through the early part of this season and holds a cumulative .270/.359/.387 line and 16 total stolen bases. MLB Pipeline projects the former 2023 draft pick to reach the majors in 2023, but is worth following in dynasty leagues due to his elite raw speed.

Tai Peete Swipes Two Bags And Brings In Three Runs On Thursday

Seattle Mariners shortstop prospect Tai Peete went 3-for-6 at the plate on Thursday with two doubles, three RBI, and two stolen bases. Peete ripped two RBI doubles, one in the third frame and the other in the eighth, to lead Modesto to the victory. The 18-year-old also added two more stolen bases to bring his season count to five. After getting a brief stint with Single-A last year, Peete has posted a solid .256/.376/.423 slash line through 20 games at Single-A this season. The seventh-ranked prospect in the Seattle system is still several years away from the major leagues but is worth monitoring in dynasty leagues down the road.
