Mariners
Seattle Mariners first base prospect Tyler Locklear went 3-for-4 with two home runs and a double on Friday evening. Locklear was recently sent back down to Triple-A after the Mariners acquired Justin Turner at the trade deadline. Locklear struggled through his first look at the major leagues with a .156/.224/.311 line. However, at Triple-A this season, the former second-round selection has posted a .273/.373/.500 line. Locklear is a name to keep an eye on in deeper AL-only formats this summer, as he could earn another look at the major leagues in the stretch run.

Tyler Locklear Demoted To Triple-A
Seattle Mariners first base prospect Tyler Locklear was demoted to Triple-A after the Mariners acquired Justin Turner from the Toronto Blue Jays. Turner should be expected to split time at first base and serve as the designated hitter. Locklear is considered the sixth-best prospect in the Seattle system on MLB.com. The VCU product has gotten two brief stints at the major league level this season and held an overall .156/.224/.311 line with two home runs and one stolen base. The 23-year-old could get another look at the big league level in the stretch run as he has already held his own at the top level of the minors with a .264/.374/.455 slash line this summer.

Tyler Locklear Recalled And Starting On Tuesday
The Seattle Mariners recalled infield prospect Tyler Locklear from Triple-A Tacoma, and he's starting at first base and batting sixth for the M's on Tuesday against the visiting division-rival Los Angeles Angels and right-hander Jose Soriano. Locklear, the club's No. 6 prospect per MLB Pipeline, has an opportunity to carve out regular playing time at the cold corner in Seattle now that Ty France is no longer on the roster. The 23-year-old right-handed hitter went just 6-for-30 (.200) in his first 11 big-league games earlier this year but also had two home runs, a double and three RBI while fanning 12 times. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder has excellent raw power, making him intriguing in deep-mixed leagues for those in need of some pop down the stretch. Locklear had an .887 OPS at two minor-league levels for the Mariners this year, and they're hoping he'll help boost their offense in the coming weeks and months.

Tyler Locklear Swinging A Hot Bat In July
Seattle Mariners first base prospect Tyler Locklear went 3-for-5 with a double, and a triple on Wednesday evening. Since July 1, the former second-round selection has been on a great run with a .355/.436/.710 slash line and two long balls. Locklear made his major league debut in May but only logged 10 games with a .200/.250/.433 line before being sent back down to Triple-A. The VCU product has progressed through the Seattle system very quickly as he opened the season at Double-A and already earned a stint in the majors. The 23-year-old is a name to keep a close eye on in deeper AL-only leagues, as he could be worth adding once he re-joins the major league roster in the second half of the summer.

Tyler Locklear Optioned To Triple-A Tacoma
The Seattle Mariners optioned first baseman Tyler Locklear ahead of the team's series opener against the Tampa Bay Rays. With Jorge Polanco (hamstring) returning from the 10-day injured list, Seattle decided to send down its No. 8 prospect. Locklear started just once since June 17, so the first baseman should be getting more consistent reps in Triple-A. The 23-year-old hit just .200 with two home runs, one double, and three RBI across 11 games with the Mariners this season. With his demotion, he can be safely dropped in all formats.

Tyler Locklear Hits First Home Run
Seattle Mariners first baseman Tyler Locklear went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's extra-inning loss versus the Chicago White Sox. The home run would be the first of Locklear's big-league career. Locklear got the call on June 9 to replace injured first baseman Ty France (heel) and has started four of five games in that time. Manager Scott Servais said that Locklear was called up to play and he should continue to see regular starts with France sidelined. France is expected to return next week, but Locklear could keep a spot on the roster with a good showing. For now, Locklear is a dart throw in deeper mixed leagues and it will be worth monitoring his playing time when France returns.

Tyler Locklear Doubles In Debut
Seattle Mariners first base prospect Tyler Locklear went 1-for-4 with a double and RBI in his big-league debut versus the Kansas City Royals on Sunday. Locklear was promoted to the big-leagues on Sunday with first baseman Ty France (heel) landing on the 10-day injured list. Manager Scott Servais alluded to the fact that the club brought Locklear up to play and that is encouraging to fantasy managers that roster the teams No. 8 prospect. Locklear has been consistent throughout his minor league career and between Double-A and Triple-A this season has hit .293 with nine homer and 33 RBI. The opportunity appears to be there for Locklear and he is a worth a flier in deeper mixed leagues and dynasty platforms.

Tyler Locklear Being Promoted To The Major Leagues
Seattle Mariners first base/third base prospect Tyler Locklear is being promoted to the major league roster as Ty France (heel) is dealing with an injury. France was not in Saturday's lineup and manager Scott Servais did express his concern about the severity of the injury in a postgame interview. While France has not officially been placed on the injured list as of yet, he may miss some time out of caution and Locklear's promotion seems to point toward that. Locklear began the season with Double-A and posted a strong .291/.401/.532 line with eight long balls and 26 RBI. He was recently moved up to Triple-A Tacoma on May 28 and has held an excellent .300/.417/.475 through his first ten games at that level. Locklear is worth adding in deeper mixed leagues and should be rostered in all AL-only formats.

Tyler Locklear Promoted To Triple-A
The Seattle Mariners promoted first base prospect Tyler Locklear to Triple-A Tacoma, and he will report to the Rainiers on Tuesday. Locklear, who is considered the club's No. 8 prospect per MLB Pipeline, earned the promotion after slashing a strong .291/.401/.532 with eight home runs, 12 doubles, one triple, 26 RBI, four stolen bases and 30 runs scored in 188 plate appearances and 41 games for Double-A Arkansas. If he continues to hit at the Triple-A level, Locklear could be a candidate for a late-season promotion to the big leagues. The 23-year-old former second-round pick in 2022 out of Virginia Commonwealth University hits from the right side has raw power at first base but also uses the entire field to drop hits in. In order to keep his strikeout rate low as he climbs the ladder in Seattle's organization, he's going to need to improve his plate discipline and improve against offspeed pitches.

Tyler Locklear Launches Third Home Run In Seven Games
Seattle Mariners third base prospect Tyler Locklear went 2-6 at the plate on Friday with a long ball, two RBI, and a swiped bag. Locklear has been showcasing high high-upside power all week with three long balls in his past seven games. During this stretch he has also tallied three doubles. In 40 games this season with Double-A Arkansas, the 23-year-old has an impressive .292/.404/.539 line with eight home runs and four stolen bases. The former second-round selection looks quite comfortable at this level compared to last season, where he posted a modest .260 AVG in 22 games at Double-A. The corner infielder is projected to reach the majors this season and should join Triple-A fairly soon, making him an intriguing stash candidate in dynasty leagues.
