Pistons Eager to Keep Jalen Duren

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren had a disappointing postseason, but the team remains high on him and plans to lock him up with an extension this offseason. "JD had a fantastic season," Pistons general manager Trajan Langdon said on Tuesday. "He's one of the biggest contributors to us being a No. 1 seed." Duren became an All-Star in 2025-26, averaging 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds. However, his production dipped to 10.2 points and 8.5 rebounds during the playoffs. This is set to hurt his value as a restricted free agent in the summer. But Duren, who has plenty of room to develop as a 22-year-old, remains very much part of Detroit's plans and should continue to be a double-double threat in fantasy for many years to come.

Jalen Duren Finishes Game 7 with Quiet Line

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren produced seven points, nine rebounds, three assists, and two blocks in Sunday's 125-94 Game 7 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 22-year-old went 3-for-7 from the field and 1-for-2 at the line as Detroit's season ended in the second round. Duren had posted 15 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks, and one steal in Game 6, so the muted closeout line was a frustrating fantasy finish after a strong campaign. He averaged 19.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists during the regular season, keeping his long-term value pointed up despite the postseason exit.

Jalen Duren Bounces Back With Double-Double

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren tallied a 15-point, 11-rebound double-double and added three blocks and one steal in Friday's 115-94 Game 6 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. The All-Star big man provided the perfect response to being benched in Game 5. His performance was especially remarkable considering Duren injured his left ankle in the third quarter. Luckily for the Pistons, the 22-year-old big man was able to return for the fourth and helped the team secure an impressive road victory. Duren made only one of four free-throw attempts but finished a very good 7-for-10 from the field. The challenge for Duren now is to replicate this performance in Game 7 on Sunday.

Jalen Duren Available to Finish Game 6

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren (ankle) started the fourth quarter of Game 6 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He injured his left ankle midway through the third quarter. Duren made several trips to the locker room but appears to have avoided a major injury. Paul Reed enjoyed a strong stretch during Duren's absence. Before the injury, Duren was having his best performance of the series, posting nine points, seven rebounds, one steal, and two blocks.

Jalen Duren Determined to Improve

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren has struggled during the 2026 NBA Playoffs but remains eager to improve. "Absolutely, I feel like I could be better in all aspects of the game," Duren told reporters after Wednesday's Game 5 loss to Cleveland. "Continue to grind and continue to grow." In Wednesday's overtime loss, Duren didn't see any action after the third quarter, finishing with nine points, five rebounds, four assists, and one steal in 25 minutes. After earning his first All-Star selection in the regular season, Duren's production has dipped to 10.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per game during the playoffs. With the Pistons facing elimination on Friday night, they need Duren to break out of his slump more than ever. If he doesn't start strong, we might see a lot of Paul Reed again after his impressive 10-point, eight-rebound outing on Wednesday.

Jalen Duren Records Second Consecutive Double-Double

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren bagged an 11-point, 12-rebound double-double as the team opened the second-round series with an 111-101 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday. Duren had a pivotal role in the final five minutes after Cleveland had tied the game at 93. The first-year All-Star scored six points in the closing stages. Duren's night in a tough matchup against Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley also included four rebounds and two blocks. He went 4-for-11 from the field and 3-for-4 at the charity stripe. Initially, Duren struggled in the playoffs, but he has now started to show the form that earned him his first All-Star selection.

Jalen Duren Posts 15-15 Line in Game 7 Win

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren recorded 15 points, 15 rebounds, and three assists in 37 minutes during Sunday's Game 7 win over Orlando. He shot 5-for-9 from the field and anchored the interior, delivering his first double-double of the series at the right time. Duren had an up-and-down series, but this game was a reminder of how impactful he can be on the glass. With Cade Cunningham running the offense and Tobias Harris handling much of the scoring, Duren's role stays centered on rebounding and protecting the paint as Detroit heads into a tougher matchup with Cleveland's frontcourt.

Jalen Duren Struggling in First-Round Matchup

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren has struggled to make an impact in the first-round series against the Orlando Magic. The first-year All-Star has been limited to 9.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Compared to the regular season, his field-goal percentage has dropped from 65.0 to 46.9. After finishing 41 of his 70 regular-season appearances with a double-double, Duren is still looking for his first postseason double-double of the year. He may not get many more opportunities to record one, as the top-seeded Pistons have shockingly fallen 3-1 behind in the series. Duren's performance could be the deciding factor in whether the team extends its playoff run in Game 5 on Wednesday.

Jalen Duren Posts Quiet Line in Series Opener

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren finished with eight points, seven rebounds, one assist, and one block in 33 minutes during Sunday's Eastern Conference first-round loss to Orlando. He played solid minutes but had limited involvement, attempting just four shots and failing to make a consistent impact offensively. Duren's role remains secure, but his DFS value depends on increased usage and activity on the glass. Cade Cunningham continues to dominate touches, while Tobias Harris may take on more scoring responsibility if Duren remains a low-usage option.

Jalen Duren Available Saturday

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren (illness) has received the green light to play on Saturday against the Philadelphia 76ers. He was a late addition to the injury report due to illness, with the team tagging him as questionable. However, the star big man has shaken off the illness and could be set for a big night on Saturday, as Philadelphia won't have Joel Embiid (oblique, illness) in the lineup. Since the Pistons lost Cade Cunningham (lung), Duren has upped his production to 24.2 points and 11.0 rebounds per game.
