  • Trevor Siemian To Have Another Shoulder Surgery

Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian (shoulder) will undergo surgery on his left shoulder Wednesday, and it will be performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache. Siemian also had offseason surgery on his non-throwing shoulder last year, but the two injuries are unrelated, and this new surgery is to fix a damaged posterior capsule. Siemian's 2017 was much worse than the previous season, as he was benched midway through the year for Brock Osweiler, only to get the starting job back and lose it again due to injury. If Siemian is in serious consideration for the starting gig again in 2018, something went horribly wrong with Denver's QB plans in the offseason. Siemian is a decent backup in the NFL, but he's shown his upside is very limited in a starting role.

  • Trevor Siemian Headed To IR

Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian (shoulder) will be placed on Injured Reserve, but head coach Vance Joseph said there is no surgery scheduled for now. Siemian beat out Paxton Lynch for the starting job to begin the season, but he quickly flamed out and looked terrible for a stretch around midseason that got him benched in favor of Brock Osweiler. Heading into 2018, it's clear that Siemian doesn't belong as an every-week starter in the NFL. He won't be on the fantasy radar come next year. Osweiler should finish out the last two games for Denver under center with Lynch still battling a high ankle sprain.

  • Trevor Siemian's Season Over After Shoulder Dislocation

Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian (shoulder) suffered a dislocated left shoulder in Thursday's game against the Colts and will miss the final two games of the season, according to a source. Brock Osweiler replaced Siemian in the game and led them to victory, throwing two touchdowns and rushing one in as well. Siemian earned the starting gig over Paxton Lynch to begin the year but looked terrible for the most part and was even benched for Osweiler midway through the season. It's clear now that Siemian is a backup, at best, in the NFL, and isn't the future in Denver. Expect Osweiler to start the last two games against the Redskins and Chiefs with Lynch dealing with a high ankle sprain. Osweiler is no better than a midrange QB2 in two-quarterback leagues to finish out the year.
