Tucker Kraft Placed On PUP List

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft (pectoral) has been placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list to begin training camp. Both Kraft and center Zach Tom were placed on the PUP list after suffering torn pectoral muscles. Luckily, head coach Matt LaFleur said he doesn't expect either player to miss much of camp. Kraft will compete with Luke Musgrove for snaps as the starting tight end. The loss of snaps gives Musgrove a slight edge, but it doesn't sound like Kraft will be gone for too long. Musgrove is the favorite to be the starter, but Kraft could be a reliable second option for the Packers in 2024.

Tucker Kraft Out Until Training Camp

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft (pectoral) and offensive lineman Zach Tom (pectoral) are both dealing with pectoral injuries, and head coach Matt LaFleur said on Tuesday that both players will be out until at least the start of training camp. Neither Kraft nor Tom took part in organized team activities on Tuesday. Both Kraft and Tom were key contributors in 2023 for the Packers, with Kraft catching 31 of his 40 targets for 355 yards and two touchdowns in 17 regular-season games (eight starts) in his rookie season. The 23-year-old had his arm in a sling on Tuesday and will miss valuable offseason reps heading into his second season in 2024. When Kraft returns to full health, he'll likely play second fiddle to Luke Musgrave, which makes him one to avoid in standard 12-team fantasy leagues.

Packers See Limitless Potential With Luke Musgrave, Tucker Kraft

Green Bay Packers tight ends Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft can elevate the offense to the next level, according to tight ends coach John Dunn. "I think in terms of the creativity, it's limitless," Dunn told the media on Wednesday. Musgrave and Kraft were both members of the 2023 draft class and impressed in their own roles throughout last season. Musgrave was the Packers' top tight end for their first 10 games before a lacerated kidney caused him to miss six weeks. With Musgrave sidelined, Kraft emerged as one of Jordan Love's favorite targets, averaging four catches and 47 yards per game. When Musgrave returned in Week 18, he caught one pass for 11 yards while Kraft tallied three receptions for 31 yards. Long story short, Green Bay feels confident that it has two talented, young, impactful playmakers at the tight end position and is prepared to utilize them both in creative ways throughout the 2024 season. Until we get more clarity on their respective roles, they both rank as fringe top-24 options at the tight end position in fantasy football.

Tucker Kraft Ties Team Lead In Targets, Scores Saturday

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft caught three of six targets for nine yards and a touchdown during the team's 21-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Starting tight end Luke Musgrave was slightly more productive in the yardage department Saturday night, but Kraft had the score that put the Packers ahead 21-14 in the third quarter. That score ended up being the final one of the night for Green Bay. Kraft did an admirable job filling in for Musgrave over the back half of the regular season and proved that he will still demand some sort of target share when both are healthy. However, unless something were to happen to Musgrave, Kraft would be nothing more than a waiver wire option in daily fantasy formats and a bench stash in dynasty leagues in 2024.

Tucker Kraft Contributes Two Catches Against Dallas

Green Bay Packers rookie tight end Tucker Kraft only managed to catch two of his three targets for 15 yards in the 48-32 surprising wild-card win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Meanwhile, fellow rookie tight end Luke Musgrave was also targeted three times, but he produced much more with three receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown in Green Bay's beatdown of the NFC's No. 2 seed on the road. The 23-year-old made seven straight starts from Weeks 12-18 after Musgrave sustained a lacerated kidney, but Musgrave returned in the Week 18 regular season finale and should only continue to see more of the workload as the Packers head into the Divisional Round on the road in San Francisco to face the top-seeded 49ers. At best, Kraft will be a low-cost dart throw in DFS next weekend.

Tucker Kraft Quiet In Win Over Chicago

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft caught all three of his targets for a gain of 31 yards during the team's 17-9 win over the Chicago Bears. Luke Musgrave made his return this week from a kidney injury, and while his snap share was limited, it was enough to hinder the production of Kraft. The wide receiver corps did the majority of the damage through the air this week, leaving few targets for the rookie. Musgrave will see his role increase as he is further removed from the injury, putting Kraft off the fantasy radar for now. Fantasy managers would be wise to look elsewhere when filling their daily fantasy lineups during Wild Card weekend.

Tucker Kraft Could Be Off The Streaming Radar In Week 18

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft will face off against the Chicago Bears in Week 18. The rookie has been a streaming candidate over the past few weeks in replacement of starter Luke Musgrave (kidney). However, his role as the starter could come to an end as Musgrave was able to draw the questionable tag heading into the weekend. Thankfully for fantasy managers, Musgrave is still on Injured Reserve, meaning the Packers will have to activate him on Saturday if they wish to have him available on Sunday. If activated, Kraft's role will be unclear, making him tough to trust against Chicago. However, if Musgrave misses one more week, Kraft will remain a top-15 option and have fantasy value for the regular season finale.

Tucker Kraft Reels In Season-High Six Receptions

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft caught all six of his targets for 48 yards during the team's 33-10 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17. The six receptions were a season-high for the rookie and tied for the team lead on Sunday night. Since Week 13, Kraft has seen six targets in all but one game and remains a staple of the Green Bay passing attack. Luke Musgrave (kidney) has been participating in practice on a limited basis, but there is a good chance he will be limited when he returns due to the nature of his injury. Kraft will be on the streaming radar next week against Chicago if Musgrave misses another week, but he would be a risky option if the former starter makes his return.

Tucker Kraft On The Streaming Radar In Week 17

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft will go on the road to take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17. The rookie has filled in for starter Luke Musgrave (kidney), who is again listed as doubtful for this weekend. Wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) looks to be missing his fourth game in a row after being listed as doubtful, while fellow rookie Dontayvion Wicks (chest/ankle) is questionable after not practicing this week. That leaves Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, and Kraft to lead the way against the Vikings' pass defense. Kraft has seen at least six targets in three of the past four games and will be on the streaming radar for those in need this weekend. The Vikings are solid against opposing tight ends, but the matchup should not scare fantasy managers away.

Tucker Kraft Gains 60 Yards In Win Over Panthers

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft caught four of six targets for 60 yards during the team's 33-30 win over the Carolina Panthers. The rookie caught four passes and gained at least 55 yards for the third week in a row. Green Bay was incredibly thin at wide receiver and lost rookie Dontayvion Wicks (chest) during this contest. With so many injuries to the Packers' pass catchers, Kraft will be right back on the streaming radar next week as the Packers take on the Minnesota Vikings, with the chance of seeing a high target share. Fantasy managers will need to keep an eye on the team's injury report heading into next weekend, but the Packers rookie could be a sneaky good option if Green Bay does not get any receivers back onto the active roster in Week 17.
