Jordan Love Will Play on Friday Against Denver

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will play in Week 2 of the preseason against the Denver Broncos, head coach Matt LaFleur told Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. Love also played the opening drive of the Packers' first preseason game, so this will be the second week in a row he sees the field. LaFleur noted that several offensive starters will play, so it will be good for Love to get some reps with members of the first-team offense. The 27-year-old is looking to improve upon a modest 2025 campaign in which he threw for 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. He was the QB15 last year, but he's just a few years removed from his QB5 finish in 2023, so managers would like him to return to that level of play. The good news is that Love should have a stronger supporting cast this year. Matthew Golden is trending toward making a Year 2 leap, Christian Watson is on the precipice of a career year, and Tucker Kraft (knee) will hopefully be healthy for the full season.

Jordan Love Says Biggest Difference in Offense is "Ability to Finish"

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love said the biggest difference between this year's offense and the 2025 version is "our ability to finish," according to Kevin Clark of ESPN. Love explained that the offense's inability to finish late in games and late in the season is why they ultimately fell short last year, and it has been their goal and mindset to finish stronger in 2026, regardless of the situation. Love continued to focus on having a better mindset and focus late in games for every player on the team to do their job better in crunch time. The 27-year-old Love threw for 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns, and only six interceptions in 15 regular-season starts in 2025 in his fifth year in the league, good enough for a QB16 finish in fantasy. Head coach Matt LaFleur staying aggressive over the course of entire games could give Love the passing volume he needs to finish in the QB1 territory in 2026, but fantasy managers should be drafting him as a strong QB2 with a solid floor.

Jordan Love to Play in Preseason Opener on Thursday

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that as of right now, quarterback Jordan Love will play in the team's preseason opener on Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers, although he said he reserves the right to change his mind, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN. LaFleur said there is "value in getting mentally prepared to go play a game." If Love does play on Thursday night, he likely won't be in the game for more than a couple of offensive series, and he probably won't be working with all of the team's offensive skill players. Going into his fourth year as the Packers' full-time QB, Love ranks 19th in RotoBaller's QB rankings for the 2026 season after throwing for 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns, and six interceptions in 15 regular-season starts in 2025. Consistency has evaded the former first-rounder from Utah State, but there is still plenty of fantasy upside because of his success with the deep ball in Green Bay's offense. With better health from the entire Packers' offense this year, Love is an intriguing QB2 target with upside.

Jordan Love Has Better Timing with Starting Wide Receivers

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love believes his timing and chemistry with the starting receivers have improved this training camp. After spreading the ball to more weapons last season, Love said working mostly with Jayden Reed, Christian Watson, and Matthew Golden has accelerated their timing, something they couldn't do a year ago given their depth. "You build trust and understanding of where guys are going to be and how things time up." The Packers traded wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles and let Romeo Doubs walk this offseason. While both departures could cause problems if Reed, Watson, or Golden get injured, Love should be in a good spot with all three receivers early in 2026.

Jordan Love Better Drafted as an Upside QB2

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been a better real-life quarterback than fantasy starter over the past two seasons. He completed 66.3% of his passes for 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns and six interceptions in 15 games last year, adding 199 rushing yards without a score. That left him QB21 on a per-game basis after a QB16 finish in 2024, well below the QB7 pace he posted in 2023. The supporting cast is in better shape now. Tucker Kraft is back on the field after last year's torn ACL, and Matthew Golden has been one of Green Bay's biggest playmakers in camp, including a 57-yard touchdown from Love on Family Night. Love still doesn't add enough rushing production to cover for quieter passing weeks, so another QB1 season will require more through the air. His current ADP is 128.0, while RotoBaller ranks him QB18. That's a reasonable spot to take him as a QB2 with upside rather than counting on a full return to his 2023 fantasy level.

Jordan Love a Potential Late-Round Quarterback Value in 2026

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has not come close to matching his fantasy QB5 finish from 2023, but advanced metrics still point to him as one of the league's most efficient players at the position. His EPA/play trailed only Drake Maye in 2025, and an unfamiliar conglomeration of familiar faces could lead to sustained success in 2026. The Packers return a top pass-catching trio of Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and Tucker Kraft, but that grouping did not take a single snap together in 2025, with each missing at least six games due to injury. With Kraft's availability the biggest lingering question for the start of the year as he continues to recover from a season-ending ACL tear, there is still an expectation that Love should have his full complement of pass-catchers early in the season. With running back Josh Jacobs also coming into the year healthy after wearing down late in 2025, the Packers offense could rank among the highest-scoring in 2026, with Love looking like an obvious benefactor. At RotoBaller's QB16, the 27-year-old veteran represents tremendous potential value heading into his fourth season as a starter.

Jordan Love an Intriguing Dynasty Buy-Low Candidate Ahead of 2026

Across 15 games in 2025, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love completed 66.3% of his pass attempts for 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns, and six interceptions. The 27-year-old has established himself as an efficient and effective NFL quarterback, leading Green Bay to the playoffs in all three of his seasons as a starter. However, Love's lack of rushing upside combined with the Packers' run-heavy offensive approach has limited his fantasy viability. Love finished as the QB18 in per-game fantasy scoring in 2024 and the QB21 by the same metric in 2025. Still, Love may finally be fully healthy in 2026 after battling knee, thumb, and concussion issues over the past two seasons. He should also get more out of key pass-catchers in tight end Tucker Kraft (knee) and Jayden Reed, who combined to miss 19 games last season. Love may not offer high-end QB1 upside, but he may be worth buying low on in dynasty formats ahead of what could be a resurgent 2026.

Jordan Love Happy With his Pass-Catching Group

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love said he "still has some great weapons" in the passing game going into the 2026 season despite losing Romeo Doubs in free agency and Dontayvion Wicks to an offseason trade to the Philadelphia Eagles, mentioning Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and second-year wideout Matthew Golden as his top options. The Packers also have tight end Tucker Kraft (knee) coming back from a torn ACL that cut his season short in 2025, so Love certainly still has plenty of pass-catching weapons to take the next step in 2026 in his sixth year in the NFL. The 27-year-old former 26th overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft out of Utah State threw for 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns, and only six interceptions in 15 regular-season starts last year, which placed him as the QB16 in fantasy scoring. Love has proven to be a strong downfield passer -- that should continue if Watson stays healthy all year -- but Green Bay's offense as a whole will need to be more consistent if Love is going to jump up to the QB1 ranks in fantasy. Right now, RotoBaller has him ranked as the No. 18 fantasy QB for the 2026 campaign.

Is Jordan Love a Worthy Dynasty Buy-Low Target Entering 2026?

Although Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been one of the better young signal-callers in the NFL in recent seasons, he hasn't quite been able to translate his talent into consistent fantasy production to this point in his career. Love finished as the QB16 in 2025 after recording 3,381 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, and six interceptions across 15 games. The 27-year-old has rushed for just 282 yards and a touchdown over the past two seasons, which limits his fantasy upside. He's also operated in one of the most run-heavy offenses in the league in Green Bay, averaging just 28.8 pass attempts per game since the start of 2024. However, the Packers running game enters 2026 with some questions following the offseason arrest of star running back Josh Jacobs and the free agent departure of former RB2 Emanuel Wilson. If Green Bay is forced to turn to the air a bit more in 2026, Love could re-emerge as a top-12 quarterback. Given his talent and production upside, Love may be worth targeting as a buy-low candidate in dynasty leagues.

Does Jordan Love Still Have Top-12 Upside in Dynasty?

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love's dynasty outlook has taken a hit in recent years. Formerly a first-round pick, Love seemed like a top dynasty option after finishing as the QB5 in 2023. However, he has fallen to QB15 or lower in each of his last two seasons, raising questions about whether he can be a top-12 option (and a fantasy starter) going forward. The Packers' identity has been a run-first offense lately, leaving fewer pass attempts for Love. In 2025, Green Bay ran the ball 47.69%, which was fifth-most in the NFL. Love doesn't have a ton of flashy weapons around him, either. Romeo Doubs departed in free agency, leaving him with Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and Matthew Golden as his top wide receivers. Tight end Tucker Kraft (knee) is also in the mix, and while he has a great track record, he's working his way back from injury. If the Packers continue to be run-heavy for years to come, Love will likely struggle to emerge as a QB1 in fantasy football consistently, despite having a talented throwing arm. Dynasty managers should be open to the idea of trading him away and upgrading at the quarterback position.
