Jayden Reed Poised for Larger Role in Green Bay Following Offseason Movement

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed suffered through a lost season due to injuries in 2025, as foot and collarbone ailments caused him to miss 10 games. Still, the 25-year-old was a productive player across his first two NFL seasons from 2023 to 2024, recording over 1,900 scrimmage yards and 17 touchdowns in the two years combined. Despite the production, Reed has always struggled to carve out a high-volume role in Green Bay. Across his last 24 NFL games, Reed is averaging just over four targets per game. However, so far this offseason Green Bay has lost veteran wideout Romeo Doubs to free agency and traded away wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks. As a result, Reed currently projects for a prominent role in the team's offense alongside wide receivers Christian Watson and Matthew Golden. If Reed sees more touches in 2026, he could re-emerge as a solid wide receiver option for fantasy managers.

Can Jayden Reed Bounce Back as a WR3/Flex in 2026?

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed had an underwhelming campaign in 2025. Between his reduced role and 10-week injury absence, he finished the season with just 19 catches for 207 yards and one touchdown across seven games. The injury definitely contributed to his down season, but even when he was healthy, he averaged just 2.7 catches, 29.6 yards, and 0.1 touchdowns per game. Reed had totaled more than 1,600 yards and 12 touchdowns across his first two seasons in 2023 and 2024, so fantasy managers will hope he can get back to that level of performance in 2026. The good news for Reed is that Romeo Doubs Jr. departed in free agency, leaving behind 85 vacated targets. The bad news is that a large portion of that volume could go to Matthew Golden, who is trending up ahead of a potential Year 2 breakout. Reed is not a lock to replicate his top-30 fantasy finishes from his first two pro seasons, but at a minimum, he'll be a decent volume-based flex if he can stay healthy next season. As a result, he's an intriguing buy-low candidate in dynasty leagues.

Is Jayden Reed a Buy-Low Candidate After Injury-Marred 2025 Campaign?

After suffering a fractured collarbone in Week 2, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed spent most of the 2025 season on the shelf. The 25-year-old ultimately appeared in just seven games, hauling in 19 receptions for 207 yards and a touchdown on 22 targets. Despite the down year, Reed could be well-positioned for a breakout campaign in 2026. The Packers lost wide receiver Romeo Doubs to the New England Patriots in free agency, and star tight end Tucker Kraft (knee) is making his way back from a torn ACL. While Green Bay wideouts Christian Watson and Matthew Golden will still challenge Reed for targets in 2026, Reed may finally have a clear path to averaging six targets per game for the first time in his NFL career. Reed also brings some potential for fantasy production as a rusher, as he's logged 310 yards and three touchdowns on 34 carries across his first three NFL seasons. Coming off an injury-plagued year, Reed could be an interesting buy-low candidate for dynasty managers heading into 2026.

Is Jayden Reed Primed for a Bounce-Back Year in 2026?

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed had his 2025 season thrown off track by injury, as collarbone and foot ailments limited him to just seven games played. Across those contests, the 25-year-old hauled in 19 catches for 207 yards and one touchdown on 22 targets. Before 2025, Reed flashed upside in his first two NFL seasons, recording over 1,900 scrimmage yards and 17 total touchdowns. However, he's struggled to carve out a high-volume role in the Packers offense, which typically spreads the ball around to multiple pass-catchers. Across 40 career games with Green Bay, Reed is averaging 4.8 targets per contest. Packers wideout Romeo Doubs is set to hit free agency, and start tight end Tucker Kraft (knee) is currently recovering from a torn ACL, so Reed's path to playing time could be clearer in 2026. He will still have to contend with Green Bay wideouts Christian Watson and Matthew Golden for targets, but a fully healthy offseason could put Reed in position for a breakout year. In dynasty formats, Reed could be a solid buy-low candidate coming off his injury-marred 2025 campaign.

Jayden Reed a Strong Rebound Candidate in 2026

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed's third season in the NFL was marred by a broken collarbone and a foot injury that limited him to only seven games played. In his seven games, Reed caught 19 of his 22 targets for 207 yards and only one touchdown. The 25-year-old former second-rounder in 2023 out of Michigan State had 119 catches for 1,650 yards and 14 touchdowns on 169 targets in his first two seasons, adding 31 carries for 282 yards and another three TDs. Fantasy managers hoping for more of that production were sorely disappointed, but Reed should bounce back in 2026 with better health as a key piece of Green Bay's offense. The Packers' receiving corps is crowded with Christian Watson and Matthew Golden in the mix, but Romeo Doubs could depart in free agency. Savvy fantasy managers will want to keep Reed's name in mind as a WR sleeper this fall.

Jayden Reed's Usage in Question in Wild-Card Round

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed was held without a catch in Week 18's loss to the Minnesota Vikings, playing on just 16% of snaps. Reed dealt with injuries all season, from a foot fracture in training camp to a broken collarbone in Week 2. Reed finished his third season, playing seven games and averaging career lows in every major statistical category. Reed has a chance to right his wrongs in the Wild Card round against the Chicago Bears, but it could be challenging with slot cornerback Kyler Gordon possibly being activated off injured reserve. If the Packers want to win this game against the NFC North champions, they will need to run the ball, which could limit Reed's opportunities in the passing game. The third-year receiver is a low-end WR2 this week and is very risky given his regular-season struggles.

Jayden Reed Hard to Trust in Week 18 With Third-String QB

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed (illness) won't carry an injury designation into Sunday's Week 18 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Reed was limited in practice on both Wednesday and Thursday due to an illness, but he was able to get in a full session on Friday. Reed is cleared to play, but it's unclear how much he'll actually play in this game. Third-string quarterback Clayton Tune will be under center as well, with the team choosing to rest Jordan Love (concussion, shoulder). The Packers are already locked into the seventh seed, so there's little incentive for them to play their starters. Reed will probably see limited snaps and won't be a reliable fantasy option with Tune throwing the passes on Sunday.

Jayden Reed in Line for More Playing Time in Green Bay?

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed has now played in four games since returning from collarbone and foot injuries that sidelined him for nearly three months. The 25-year-old has provided modest production in that stretch, hauling in 16 receptions for 162 yards on 17 targets. From a playing time perspective, Reed has mostly functioned as Green Bay's WR3 behind Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs, which limits his production upside. However, the Packers are now locked into the number seven seed in the NFC playoffs heading into their Week 18 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Green Bay could choose to rest starters or limit their playing time in the season's final week, which might provide Reed with a pathway to more opportunities. In PPR fantasy leagues with 12 or more teams, Reed could be a player worth targeting on the waiver wire.

Jayden Reed in Low-End Flex Territory Against Baltimore

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed remains decently involved in the Packers' passing attack, but will need more involvement to be a locked-in fantasy starter when the Packers host the Baltimore Ravens in Week 17. Since returning in Week 14 from injury, Reed hasn't crested double-digit fantasy points in any of his three games. Averaging four targets, four receptions, and 40 receiving yards per game since returning, Reed needs to get more involved in Green Bay's offensive production. He's still being used primarily in the slot with little utilization out wide, which limits his fantasy production. With the quarterback situation up in the air for the Packers with Jordan Love (shoulder/concussion) and Malik Willis (shoulder/illness) both questionable for Week 17, consider Reed a low-end flex for Saturday's game against Baltimore.

High-End Flex Status for Jayden Reed Against Chicago

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed (personal) put in a full practice on Thursday and is good to go for the Packers' Week 16 matchup against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. Reed has seen his production climb over the last two weeks he's been active, and in Week 15 against the Denver Broncos, Reed led the team in targets (six), with five receptions for 55 yards. With Christian Watson (chest) questionable after two limited practice sessions, both Reed and Romeo Doubs could slide up in the pecking order for quarterback Jordan Love. Reed has been targeted once on every five routes (21% targets per route run) in Weeks 14 and 15, and should see quite a bit of attention from Love in a game the Packers sorely need. Slot in Reed as a high-end flex for fantasy purposes in Week 16 against the Bears.
