Jayden Reed News
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed will face the New Orleans Saints in Week 3. The rookie had a breakout performance last week, leading the team in targets and catching two touchdowns against Atlanta. However, the potential return of Christian Watson (hamstring) could cause Reed's target share to come down a bit. The matchup against New Orleans doesn't give fantasy managers much confidence in a repeat performance, either. The Saints have allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position in 2023 and have not allowed one to score through two weeks. The 23-year-old can be used as a flex option if you are desperate, but it would be best to look for a different option with a better matchup in Week 3.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed caught 4-of-8 targets for 37 yards and two touchdowns during the team's 25-24 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The rookie made the most of his increased opportunity with Christian Watson (hamstring) out for the second week in a row and was able to account for two of quarterback Jordan Love's three touchdowns thrown. Reed capped off the team's first scoring drive with a nine-yard touchdown on a touch pass that he took around the corner past multiple defenders. The 23-year-old showed off his speed on the play and then was able to find the end zone again on a 10-yard strike at the end of the third quarter. Even when Watson returns, Reed has earned starting reps and will be a solid waiver pickup heading into Week 3. He will be a potential deep league flex option next week against the New Orleans Saints.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed will go on the road to take on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2. The rookie had a chance to shine last week with the absence of Christian Watson (hamstring) and Romeo Doubs being limited, but he managed to haul in just two of his five targets. He showed off some big play ability but has yet to prove to fantasy managers that he should be considered a worthy stash on the bench. Watson could return to the field this week in a limited fashion, potentially eating into Reed's snap share in two wide receiver sets. Even in a decent matchup against the Falcons, it would be best to leave the 23-year-old on your bench or on the waiver wire this weekend.
