Cam Fowler Returns To Practice On Tuesday

St. Louis Blues defenseman Cam Fowler (personal) returned to practice on Tuesday. Fowler was unable to play in their previous contest on Saturday against the Los Angeles Kings due to the birth of his child. However, it appears Fowler is in line to return to the starting lineup on Thursday evening to face the Pittsburgh Penguins. Over his previous six contests, Fowler has found the back of the net once and added five helpers. During this span he has held a +4 rating while tallying nine shots on goal with six blocked shots. Since being traded to the Blues from the Anaheim Ducks in December, Fowler has enjoyed an offensive surge as he has tallied 21 points (seven goals) across 32 games. Over his first 19 games with the Ducks, Fowler tallied just four points (all helpers). He should return to his role on the top pairing alongside Nick Leddy.

Blues Pick Up Cam Fowler In Trade With Ducks

The St. Louis Blues have acquired defenseman Cam Fowler in a trade with the Anaheim Ducks. In the transaction, St. Louis sent a 2027 second-round pick and minor league defenseman Jeremie Biakabutuka to Anaheim for Fowler and a 2027 fourth-round pick. Anaheim retains 38.5 percent of Fowler's $6.5 million cap hit as part of the deal. Fowler has so far spent his entire career with the Ducks, skating in 991 games and recording 457 points (96 goals, 361 assists). However, his play has largely been ineffective this season despite Fowler seeing over 21 minutes of ice time on average. He will likely get less usage in St. Louis but should still have an important role to play, with the Blues defense missing Nick Leddy (lower body).

Cam Fowler Returns To Ducks Lineup

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler (upper body) will return to the lineup on Wednesday against Vegas. The veteran has missed a month of action due to an upper-body injury. Fowler's return will send Pavel Mintyukov to the press box as a healthy scratch. Having earned his lone points via two assists in 12 appearances this season, Fowler has been a disappointment for fantasy managers. The Ducks will need a lot more from him going forward. Fowler will join Radko Gudas on the first defensive pairing for Wednesday's game.

Cam Fowler To Miss 2-4 Weeks

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler (upper body) is expected to miss 2-4 weeks. He has already been out for four games, and it looks like we won't be seeing him until December. The veteran defenseman has been limited to two assists in 12 games with 10 shots. However, he's averaged close to two blocks per game, and the Ducks will surely miss Fowler's defensive ability. Urho Vaakanainen (upper body) stepped into the lineup to cover for Fowler, but he has also suffered an injury. Drew Helleson was the next man up against Detroit on Friday. He tallied two assists in his season debut. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect a repeat of the performance because Helleson is mainly seen as a physical presence on the team.

Cam Fowler Placed On Injured Reserve

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler (upper body) was placed on Injured Reserve Tuesday. He's set to miss a third consecutive game on Wednesday versus Vegas. Even when he was healthy, Fowler struggled to make an impact and has only two assists in 12 games to his name, with 10 shots and 20 blocks. Urho Vaakanainen has secured a spot in the lineup with Fowler out. He's only seeing third-pairing minutes and shouldn't be on fantasy managers' radars. Pavel Mintyukov has had an uptick in minutes lately, but he's been out of form this season.

Cam Fowler A Game-Time Call Friday

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler (upper body) has been labeled as a game-time decision for Friday's game against Minnesota. The veteran is dealing with an upper-body injury and missed the morning skate. Fowler gets heavy usage on the Ducks blue line but hasn't provided much on the offensive end, tallying two assists in 12 games. He's been more effective in the defensive zone, sitting third on the team with 20 blocks. If Fowler is out on Friday, Urho Vaakanainen is expected to skate among the top-four group at the back.

Cam Fowler Forced To Exit Early After Taking Puck To Face

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler was limited to only 21 seconds of action against San Jose on Thursday, leaving the contest after taking a puck to the face. He was bleeding heavily as Fowler headed into the locker room. The Ducks still managed to win the game 6-4, with the rest of the blue-liners playing a big part in the success. Urho Vaakanainen was the lone Ducks defenseman without a point on Thursday. Radko Gudas and Pavel Mintyukov saw the most action on the backline at 28:14 and 26:23, respectively. They will be leaned on heavily again on Friday against New Jersey if Fowler is unavailable.

Cam Fowler Registers Two Assists Sunday

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler stretched his point streak to four games with a two-assist effort in Sunday's impressive 4-2 win over Vegas. The Ducks delivered the reigning Stanley Cup champions their first regulation defeat of the season with a four-goal third period. Fowler had assists on the first and final goal. He helped Adam Henrique bag a power-play goal and logged an assist when Sam Carrick completed a two-goal game with an empty-netter. Fowler was awfully quiet early in the year, but the team has picked up great momentum with a six-game winning streak, and the veteran blue-liner has kickstarted his campaign. He now boasts seven points (one goal, six assists) in 11 games with 13 shots on net, 24 blocks, and a plus-seven rating.

Cam Fowler Hands Out Three Assists Against Nashville

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler kept the assists going on Sunday against Nashville, playing his part in a 5-4 overtime loss with three assists. Two of Fowler's helpers came in the final few minutes of regulation, with strikes from Troy Terry and Mason McTavish extending the game. Fowler has now contributed 13 assists across his last 12 appearances. He had a very quiet start offensively to the season, but the 31-year-old is now suddenly on the cusp of setting his new scoring record. He needs two more points to surpass the career-high 42 points he posted a season ago. In 67 games, Fowler has tallied nine goals and 32 assists with 105 shots on net and 74 blocks.

Cam Fowler Misses Season Finale

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler (personal) won't suit up in the team's final game of the season against Dallas on Friday. He sits out a second consecutive game after becoming a father earlier in the week. It's a great way to end a very productive season. Fowler went off for a career-high 42 points in 76 games, while also tallying 116 blocks. The veteran blue-liner plays in every situation and logged 24:24 per game across the season, so it's pretty tough for Anaheim to play without him. Urho Vaakanainen and Kevin Shattenkirk logged the most ice time among defensemen on Tuesday against San Jose and will get a busy night again, while Jamie Drysdale is rolling with the first power-play unit.

Cam Fowler Getting Closer To Returning For Anaheim

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler is still listed as day-to-day. However, he did skate on Saturday and some suggested Fowler may be closer to returning than expected. Time will tell there. Dallas Eakins believed that the defenseman skating "was encouraging". What does that mean? Fowler played just 6:03 (8 shifts) on Wednesday against the Vancouver Canucks and it was feared he would be out longer. This is good news as Fowler's steady presence and 17 points in 33 games is sorely missed.

Cam Fowler Questionable For Friday

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler (upper body) is considered questionable for Friday's contest against the Golden Knights. Fowler was injured in Wednesday's 2-1 overtime loss to Vancouver after awkwardly hitting the boards. The team feared the worst, but Fowler was back at practice on Thursday and could be ready to play again against Vegas. "There could have been a number of different long-term injuries that could come out of a fall like that, so just having him here and having him get out on the ice and then joining us, it is a sigh of relief," said Ducks head coach Dallas Eakins. Fowler is a true workhorse for the team, having logged over 23 minutes per game this season. He's recorded 17 points with 21 hits and 48 blocks in 33 contests.

Cam Fowler Stays Productive In Wednesday's Win

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler scored the game-winning goal in Wednesday's 3-2 victory over the Kings, reaching 20 points for the year. Sam Carrick and Sam Steel also scored as Anaheim erased a 2-0 deficit. Fowler has endured a couple of really long dry spells this season, but he has picked it up lately with points in three of his past four outings. He has five goals for the campaign and is the team's third-leading scorer with only Maxime Comtois (28) and Rickard Rakell (26) ahead of him. Fowler has a couple of more games in the favorable matchup against the Kings coming up, before finishing the regular season with a two-game set against both Minnesota and St. Louis.
