Jake Neighbours News
St. Louis Blues forward Jake Neighbours (upper body) will not be in the lineup Wednesday when the team takes on the visiting Chicago Blackhawks. The 22-year-old sustained an upper-body injury in the second period of Saturday's contest against the San Jose Sharks and is listed as day-to-day moving forward. "As of today, he's feeling normal," Bannister said of Neighbours. "Obviously yes, we're going to be cautious and we'll go through the protocols of getting him back on the ice here working out, getting back on the ice and then skating with us." The first-round pick has broken out with 27 goals on 145 shots across 77 games on the season after tallying just seven goals through his first 52 NHL contests over parts of his first two seasons in the league.
St. Louis Blues winger Jake Neighbours couldn't finish Saturday's game against San Jose due to an upper-body injury. He logged 10:10 of action before absorbing a hit from San Jose's Luke Kunin, which knocked Neighbours out of the game. St. Louis heads back on the ice Sunday versus Anaheim, and Neighbours should be considered questionable for the game. If he can't play, the Blues would be without one of their top goal-scorers. Neighbours' development has been one of only a few bright spots for St. Louis in 2023-24, as the 22-year-old has scored 27 goals and 38 points across 77 outings. His injury could give Sammy Blais a chance to rejoin the lineup.
St. Louis Blues left wing Jake Neighbours took care of two goals in Sunday's 4-2 victory at Chicago. He provided the first and final goal for the Blues, making it five markers in five games for himself. The 21-year-old started to work on a scoring streak as a fourth-liner, and he's gotten a great opportunity to keep it going after earning promotion into the top six. Before starting his five-game run, Neighbours boasted only two points for the season, so he's boosted his production enormously in recent weeks to make himself a viable fantasy option.
St. Louis Blues winger Jake Neighbours will move into the top six for Wednesday's meeting with the Coyotes. The 21-year-old has impressed by scoring in back-to-back games, and he now gets a chance to ride with some of St. Louis' big guns, linking up with Brayden Schenn and Brandon Saad on the second line. Neighbours, who boasts four points in 17 games for the season, takes over from Jakub Vrana, who will sit out Wednesday's contest as a healthy scratch.
