Jake Neighbours Back for Blues Thursday

St. Louis Blues winger Jake Neighbours (leg) has been activated from Injured Reserve and will rejoin the lineup on Thursday night against the Philadelphia Flyers. Neighbours was initially expected to miss five weeks after he injured his right leg on Oct. 25. Instead, he ended up missing less than four weeks of action. Before the leg injury, Neighbours was scoring goals for fun, lighting the lamp six times in eight games. He also has one assist this season. The 23-year-old will land on the first line, next to Robert Thomas and Jimmy Snuggerud. To make room for Neighbours on the roster, the Blues waived Alexandre Texier on Thursday.

Jake Neighbours to Miss at Least Five Weeks

St. Louis Blues winger Jake Neighbours (leg) has been ruled out for at least five weeks. He injured his right leg on Saturday in a matchup against the Detroit Red Wings and will miss a second consecutive game on Monday night when there's a rematch scheduled against Detroit. Overall, he will probably end up missing around 20 games, which is a significant setback for both the player and the team. Neighbours has been the early-season scoring leader for St. Louis, tallying six goals and seven points in eight games. In his absence, Mathieu Joseph, who scored his first goal of the season in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins, may receive increased ice time.

Jake Neighbours Unavailable Versus Penguins

St. Louis Blues winger Jake Neighbours (lower body) will skip Monday's tilt against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The team has ruled him out with a lower-body injury and considers Neighbours day-to-day. On Saturday against the Detroit Red Wings, Neighbours scored two goals to bring his season total to six. He leads the Blues in scoring with seven points in eight games. Robert Thomas (upper body) is also out on Monday, which means the St. Louis front line will look quite different. Pius Suter will take on first-line center duties, while Mathieu Joseph is also set to start the contest in the top six.

Jake Neighbours Absent From Training Camp for Personal Reasons

St. Louis Blues winger Jake Neighbours (personal) is not with the team for the start of training camp. Blues general manager Doug Armstrong announced that Neighbours will miss the first three days of camp to attend to a personal family matter. This is likely only a small bump on the road for Neighbors and should not have a major impact on his preparations for the season. Neighbours has registered back-to-back 20-goal campaigns and finished last season with a career-high 46 points (22 goals, 24 assists) in 82 appearances. The 23-year-old also brings muscle to the Blues lineup, having racked up over 300 hits over the past two seasons.

Jake Neighbours Shines On Sunday With Three Points

St. Louis Blues winger Jake Neighbours notched a game-high three points in Sunday's 5-1 win against the Winnipeg Jets. Neighbours tied the game at one near the end of the first period and collected two assists in the contest. The 23-year-old also had three hits in the game, logging 15:43 of action. The Blues offense has finally clicked in the series, and Neighbours has been one of the main men in attack. With four games played, he has tallied one goal and four assists in the matchup. With scoring machine Jordan Kyrou on the same line as him, Neighbours is perfectly set up for further success against the Jets.

Jake Neighbours Iffy For Thursday

St. Louis Blues winger Jake Neighbours (upper body) is questionable for Thursday's game against Calgary. He suffered an upper-body injury in Wednesday's practice. Neighbours was back on the ice for Thursday's optional morning skate, but Blues head coach Jim Montgomery didn't fully commit to his availability. Brandon Saad is set to drop out of the lineup if Neighbours is good to go for the contest, with Zack Bolduc coming in for Alexandre Texier. Saad has had a difficult campaign, notching only 16 points (seven goals, nine assists) in 39 appearances, and is not a strong option for fantasy managers.

Jake Neighbours Good To Go Versus Red Wings

St. Louis Blues winger Jake Neighbours (undisclosed) will be in the lineup on Monday against Detroit. He didn't finish Friday's matchup against Florida after absorbing a heavy hit, but Neighbours won't have to miss additional time. The 22-year-old is tied for the second-most goals on the team with 10 and has amassed 17 points across 35 contests. Neighbours is expected to work as a third-liner on Monday, but he should also see action with the first power-play unit. It's a juicy matchup for St. Louis' power play on Monday, as the Red Wings have the league's second-worst penalty kill.

Jake Neighbours Out On Wednesday

St. Louis Blues forward Jake Neighbours (upper body) will not be in the lineup Wednesday when the team takes on the visiting Chicago Blackhawks. The 22-year-old sustained an upper-body injury in the second period of Saturday's contest against the San Jose Sharks and is listed as day-to-day moving forward. "As of today, he's feeling normal," Bannister said of Neighbours. "Obviously yes, we're going to be cautious and we'll go through the protocols of getting him back on the ice here working out, getting back on the ice and then skating with us." The first-round pick has broken out with 27 goals on 145 shots across 77 games on the season after tallying just seven goals through his first 52 NHL contests over parts of his first two seasons in the league.

Jake Neighbours Sustains An Upper-Body Injury

St. Louis Blues winger Jake Neighbours couldn't finish Saturday's game against San Jose due to an upper-body injury. He logged 10:10 of action before absorbing a hit from San Jose's Luke Kunin, which knocked Neighbours out of the game. St. Louis heads back on the ice Sunday versus Anaheim, and Neighbours should be considered questionable for the game. If he can't play, the Blues would be without one of their top goal-scorers. Neighbours' development has been one of only a few bright spots for St. Louis in 2023-24, as the 22-year-old has scored 27 goals and 38 points across 77 outings. His injury could give Sammy Blais a chance to rejoin the lineup.

Jake Neighbours Stays Hot In Front Of Goal

St. Louis Blues left wing Jake Neighbours took care of two goals in Sunday's 4-2 victory at Chicago. He provided the first and final goal for the Blues, making it five markers in five games for himself. The 21-year-old started to work on a scoring streak as a fourth-liner, and he's gotten a great opportunity to keep it going after earning promotion into the top six. Before starting his five-game run, Neighbours boasted only two points for the season, so he's boosted his production enormously in recent weeks to make himself a viable fantasy option.

Jake Neighbours Joins Top Six For Wednesday's Action

St. Louis Blues winger Jake Neighbours will move into the top six for Wednesday's meeting with the Coyotes. The 21-year-old has impressed by scoring in back-to-back games, and he now gets a chance to ride with some of St. Louis' big guns, linking up with Brayden Schenn and Brandon Saad on the second line. Neighbours, who boasts four points in 17 games for the season, takes over from Jakub Vrana, who will sit out Wednesday's contest as a healthy scratch.

Jake Neighbours Suffers An Upper-Body Injury

St. Louis Blues left wing Jake Neighbours had a very unlucky outing against Ottawa on Sunday as he sustained an upper-body injury on his first shift. The youngster managed to skate for only 37 seconds in his 30th game of the season. Neighbors has only four goals and four assists for the season, but various trades had opened up a spot for him in the top six Sunday and he'll be very disappointed to have picked up an injury. Blues head coach Craig Berube noted after the game that Neighbours is "probably out a while", which isn't a good sign.
