Ottawa Senators winger Fabian Zetterlund tallied a season-high three points in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Boston Bruins. He potted a pair of power-play markers and set up Tim Stutzle for a goal. After a couple of poor months to start the season, Zetterlund has finally found some form on the offensive end in December. Nine of his 16 points have come this month. He has notched nine goals and seven assists in 35 games this season. Entering the new week, Zetterlund boasts a three-game point streak, his longest since January. While Zetterlund isn't a very reliable fantasy option, he currently looks like an appealing pickup as a member of Ottawa's first line and second power-play unit.

Ottawa Senators winger Fabian Zetterlund has signed a three-year contract extension. He was about to become a restricted free agent on July 1 before reaching a new agreement with the Senators, who acquired Zetterlund from the San Jose Sharks in March. The Swedish forward, whose new deal will carry a $4.275 million cap hit, did not have a good time in Canada this season, notching only five points (two goals, three assists) in 20 appearances with the Senators. He will be expected to do a lot better next season. During his time with the Sharks, Zetterlund showed that he can make a mark at this level, scoring 80 points (41 goals, 39 assists) over his final 146 outings for the team.

San Jose Sharks winger Fabian Zetterlund (lower body) will be in the lineup on Friday versus Utah. A lower-body injury initially left him doubtful for Friday's action, but Zetterlund has recovered well enough to play. The Swedish forward is the fourth-highest scorer on the Sharks squad, sporting 27 points (11 goals, 16 assists) through 43 appearances. However, Zetterlund has struggled to add to his tally since last month, going scoreless in 10 of his last 16 outings. Things haven't gone well for Zetterlund recently, but he has certainly enjoyed frustrating Utah. Zetterlund has finished both of the previous two clashes between the teams this season with two points.

San Jose Sharks forward Fabian Zetterlund will be back at practice on Friday after missing Thursday's session due to illness. The 24-year-old is having a decent season, at least from a goal-scoring perspective, as his 12 goals on the season sit second only to Tomas Hertl's 13 among Sharks skaters. He has added six helpers for 18 points alongside 105 shots on goal across 45 games for the last-place Sharks this season. Acquired in last year's deal that saw 40-goal scorer Timo Meier head to the Devils, Zetterlund is the Sharks' most prized forward outside of Hertl and captain Logan Couture who has yet to play this season due to a lower-body injury suffered just before training camp.
