The hit by Zucker came in retaliation to a dangerous hit Cousins laid on Coyotes defenseman Juuso Valimaki moments earlier while Cousins has also come under fire for hitting Blue Jackets defenseman Erik Gudbranson from behind earlier in the season. The 30-year-old bottom-sox forward has tallied two goals and five points across 37 games on the season, his second with the Panthers following stints with the Flyers, Coyotes, Canadiens, Golden Knights, and Predators.

Cousins opened the series with a goal and was also able to finish it in the same fashion. These are his only goals of the postseason. The 29-year-old has also collected four assists. Playing in a second-line role, Cousins finds himself skating with some great attacking talent, but he hasn't managed to be a consistent scorer in the playoffs and has fired off just 13 shots on goal in 12 games.
Nashville Predators center Nick Cousins (lower body) will return to the lineup on Tuesday against the visiting Dallas Stars. The 28-year-old forward was injured colliding with teammate Ryan Johansen during a 5-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets and hasn't played since. His return gives Nashville more options on their forward attack as they try to find some consistency, having lost four of their last seven games but coming off an 8-0 shutout of the San Jose Sharks on Saturday. Cousins has 13 points (six goals, seven assists) in 42 games played this season.
