Andre Burakovsky Questionable For Thursday

Seattle Kraken winger Andre Burakovsky (undisclosed) missed Wednesday's practice, leaving him with a question mark ahead of Thursday's matchup versus Pittsburgh. Kraken head coach Dave Hakstol noted that it was a maintenance day for Burakovsky but also added that there was "a reason" the Swedish forward wasn't out on the ice. Health issues have already robbed Burakovsky of 31 games in 2023-24. He hasn't really performed up to his standards either when available, scoring only once and posting nine points in 27 games. Tye Kartye worked in Burakovsky's spot on the third line Wednesday.

Andre Burakovsky Out Week-To-Week

Seattle Kraken winger Andre Burakovsky (upper body) has been ruled out week-to-week. He returned from an upper-body injury, which kept him out for 20 games, on Thursday versus New Jersey, but Burakovsky unfortunately suffered a new injury blow in the contest and faces another extended spell on the sidelines. The Swedish winger has skated in only seven games for the Kraken this season, going without a goal and posting three assists. He's been a big miss, as Burakovsky averaged the second-most points among Kraken forwards last season as a top-six regular and power-play threat.

Andre Burakovsky Out For Up To Eight Weeks

Seattle Kraken winger Andre Burakovsky (upper body) will be sidelined for 6-8 weeks. He was injured at the weekend against the Rangers and faces another lengthy spell on the shelf after being limited to only 49 outings a season ago. Burakovsky has totaled just two points in six games this season, but he's one of Seattle's most talented forwards, and his absence is set to leave a gaping hole in the Kraken lineup. Devin Shore is expected to enter the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Red Wings, while Tye Kartye and Kailer Yamamoto are candidates to move up in the lineup.

Andre Burakovsky Faces Spell On Sidelines

Seattle Kraken winger Andre Burakovsky suffered an undisclosed injury Saturday against the Rangers and will likely have to miss multiple games. Kraken head coach Dave Hakstol said postgame that he doesn't think Burakovsky's injury will be short-term. It's an unfortunate blow for Burakovsky, as he already missed nearly half of the 2022-23 campaign. The Swedish forward has totaled two assists with no goals in six games this season. Devin Shore is projected to enter the lineup in Burkavosky's absence, while Kailer Yamamoto should get an opportunity to move up from the fourth line.

Andre Burakovsky Expected To Be Fully Ready For Training Camp

Seattle Kraken left wing Andre Burakovsky (lower body) is expected to be fully healthy by the time training camp comes around, and general manager Ron Francis hopes to see a big season from him. "He was our leading scorer when he went out, so we're hoping he can come back and get to the level he's capable of," Francis told Geoff Baker of The Seattle Times. Burakovsky skated in just 49 games last season and made his final appearance in early February. After suffering a couple of setbacks in his recovery from a lower-body injury, he underwent surgery in April. Burakovsky finished his debut campaign in Seattle with 13 goals and 26 assists.

Andre Burakovsky Will Miss The Start Of The Playoffs

Seattle Kraken winger Andre Burakovsky (lower body) will remain out of the lineup when the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs start. He has been unavailable since early February and it has now been revealed that Burakovsky has undergone surgery to fix a lower-body problem. At first, it was expected that the 28-year-old will return in March, but there have been a couple of setbacks in Burakovsky's recovery. The Swedish forward, who has won the Stanley Cup twice, was Seattle's leading scorer before getting hurt, posting 13 goals and 39 points in 49 games.

Andre Burakovsky Goes Down On First Shift

Seattle Kraken winger Andre Burakovsky saw his night end extremely early Tuesday versus the Islanders, as he suffered a lower-body injury during his first shift of the game. Burakovsky ended up spending only 21 seconds on the time. Ryan Donato replaced him on the first line and eventually led all forwards in the game with 20:27 of ice time. Unfortunately, Donato couldn't make a big impact and the team as a whole had an off night in a 4-0 defeat. The severity of Burakovsky's injury is currently unclear, but we should see Donato in the top six again if he can't play Thursday against New Jersey. Daniel Sprong, who was a healthy scratch Tuesday, will likely return to the lineup as well.

Andre Burakovsky A Game-Time Call Wednesday

Seattle Kraken winger Andre Burakovsky (undisclosed) is considered a game-time call for Wednesday's meeting with Vancouver. He is in danger of missing a second consecutive game with an undisclosed injury. Burakovsky leads the team with 38 points in 45 games and shares the top spot with 25 assists. The off-season move from Colorado has worked out really well for him. Daniel Sprong should take a top-line role once again if Burakovsky can't make it back Wednesday. Fellow forward Yanni Gourde (undisclosed) was also initially a game-time decision for the contest, but Seattle head coach Dave Hakstol has already confirmed that he will play Wednesday.

Andre Burakovsky Tallies Three Points In Saturday's Victory

Seattle Kraken winger Andre Burakovsky notched a goal and two assists in Saturday's high-scoring 8-4 victory over Ottawa. All of his points came in the third period. It was a very impressive effort from Seattle as only five skaters finished without a point. Burakovsky is very familiar with the feeling of finishing pointless, as he had a very tough time in December with only five points, but things have started to improve now. The 27-year-old has tallied four points in four January appearances and should start to perform with confidence again. Despite the recent scoring woes, Burakovsky has still had a productive season with 32 points amassed in 38 games.

Andre Burakovsky Good To Go Thursday

Seattle Kraken winger Andre Burakovsky will be in the lineup on Thursday despite sitting out Wednesday's practice. He needed a maintenance day and should be fully game-ready against the Rangers. It's been a big step back moving from the Stanley Cup-winning Colorado Avalanche to the Seattle Kraken, but Burakovsky has enjoyed his season, getting four goals and 10 assists in 16 games. He's the team's top scorer, and only five opponents have so far managed to keep Burakovsky off the score sheet this season.

Andre Burakovsky Enjoys A Three-Point Night

Seattle Kraken winger Andre Burakovsky thoroughly enjoyed the team's fifth consecutive win on Tuesday, finishing a 5-1 triumph over Nashville with three points. He had a goal and two assists as the Kraken jumped to a three-goal lead inside the opening 15:16 of action. Burakovsky ended up with a plus-two rating in 17:22 of ice time and registered a total of three shots on goal. The two-time Stanley Cup champion has averaged a point per game during the team's current streak and sits on four goals and nine assists for the whole season. The 13 points make Burakovsky the team's leading scorer, and considering how well Seattle is currently playing, there should be more to come from the Swedish winger in the upcoming games.

Andre Burakovsky Could Be Back In Action Friday Night

Colorado Avalanche winger Andre Burakovsky (hand) is a "possibility" for Game 5 against the Lightning on Friday, according to head coach Jared Bednar. He has missed the last two games after getting hurt in Game 2 of the series when Burakovsky took a puck to the hand. Burakovsky has mostly been quiet during the team's playoff run, but he had a spectacular start to the Final before getting injured, scoring a game-winning goal in overtime in Game 1 and grabbing a goal and an assist in Game 2. The Swedish winger has tallied a total of eight points across 12 postseason appearances in 2022.

Andre Burakovsky Suffers Apparent Hand Injury

Colorado Avalanche winger Andre Burakovsky was forced to make an early exit from Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final after he appeared to have sustained a hand injury. The 27-year-old Swede blocked a pass from Victor Hedman with his hand. He took only two shifts after the first period and ended up with 7:51 of ice time. Burakovsky, who scored a 4-3 game-winner in overtime in Game 1, recorded a goal and an assist in Game 2 before leaving. It remains to be seen if Burakovsky is healthy enough to play in the next game on Monday.

Andre Burakovsky Gives Colorado The Lead In Final

Colorado Avalanche winger Andre Burakovsky was the hero of the night as the 2022 Stanley Cup Final started Wednesday night, scoring a 4-3 game-winner 1:23 into overtime. It's the earliest overtime goal in the Final in 11 years and it's Burakovsky's first-ever overtime goal in the playoffs. The Swedish winger has battled a lower-body injury this postseason and hasn't been very productive, totaling six points in 11 games, but he's now got three points in his last four appearances and it looks like Burakovsky is getting close to returning to his regular-season form, which saw him produce a career-high 61 points.

Andre Burakovsky Could Return In Game 4

Colorado Avalanche winger Andre Burakovsky (lower body) was on the ice at Monday's morning skate and might be an option for Game 4 against Edmonton. He has skipped three games after getting hurt in Game 1 while blocking a shot. The Swedish winger wore a regular jersey at the morning skate, which suggests that he is indeed ready for action again. Colorado will be desperate for some reinforcements after Nazem Kadri (thumb) sustained a series-ending injury in Game 3. Burakovsky has tallied five points in nine games during the team's playoff run.

Andre Burakovsky Likely Out Again Saturday

Colorado Avalanche winger Andre Burakovsky (undisclosed) missed the team's morning skate and likely won't feature in Saturday's Game 3 against the Oilers. The 27-year-old dropped out of the lineup after appearing to hurt his right leg while blocking a shot in Game 1. Nicolas Aube-Kubel replaced him for Game 2 and appears set to continue on the third line with Alex Newhook and J.T. Compher, who has found his scoring stick as of late with four goals in three games. Burakovsky has been a disappointment in the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs, registering only five points in nine games after racking up a career-high 61 points during the regular season.

Andre Burakovsky Rejoins Avalanche Lineup Friday

Colorado Avalanche winger Andre Burakovsky will be back in the lineup on Friday against St. Louis. He returns following a two-game stint as a healthy scratch. Burakovsky had a superb regular-season campaign with a career-high 61 points, but he's gone scoreless in six of his seven playoff appearances, which explains his absence from the past two games. Alex Newhook is set to come out of the lineup, and Burakovsky should also join the second power-play unit after working with the crew at the morning skate.

Andre Burakovsky Set To Sit Again Wednesday

Colorado Avalanche winger Andre Burakovsky looks set to be a healthy scratch for a second consecutive game on Wednesday. He was left out of the lineup for Game 4 against St. Louis after he had started the series by going scoreless in the first three games, and it looks like head coach Jared Bednar is in no rush to get Burakovsky back in the lineup. The Swedish winger had a nice 61-point regular season, but he's managed just three points in the playoffs and has been held pointless in six of seven games. Alex Newhook has replaced Burakovsky on the third line.

Andre Burakovsky, J.T. Compher In COVID-19 Protocols

Colorado Avalanche forwards Andre Burakovsky and J.T. Compher were added to the COVID-19 list on Thursday, meaning they are unavailable for a clash with the Predators. Burakovsky has been filling in for Gabriel Landeskog (lower body) on the top line lately, while Compher's absence leaves a spot open on the second line. It seems like Colorado hasn't had a full lineup all season, but the team is still 17-7-2 for the year. Burakovsky boasts 21 points in 25 games and Compher has notched 11 points across 15 outings, so that's a lot of quality missing again for the Avalanche, but don't be surprised if they keep on winning.

Andre Burakovsky Scores First Career Hat Trick

Colorado Avalanche winger Andre Burakovsky celebrated his first career hat trick on Sunday, helping his side to a 3-2 victory over Florida. Mikko Rantanen had assists on all of the goals and Nathan MacKinnon collected two helpers. Burakovsky started the scoring with a power-play goal late in the second period. The Swedish winger now has five goals in the past two games, and he's nicely set up for more success in the upcoming games after joining the top line. Gabriel Landeskog (lower body) had been sidelined for two weeks. Burakovsky has collected 20 points in 24 games this season.
