Jackson LaCombe Sets New Record With Another Assist

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Jackson LaCombe continued his debut postseason campaign with another productive outing on Monday night against the Vegas Golden Knights, recording an assist in a 3-1 loss. He set up Mikael Granlund for the game-tying tally in the third period, but the Golden Knights quickly responded with a controversial Ivan Barbashev goal, and Anaheim couldn't recover from a second deficit. It was a record-setting performance for LaCombe, who became the fastest player in franchise history to reach 10 postseason points. With one goal and nine assists in seven games, the 25-year-old has also tied a league record for the fewest games needed by a defenseman to register 10 career playoff points.

Jackson LaCombe Ties Ducks Record With Three Points in Game 2

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Jackson LaCombe logged three assists, including one on the power play, in Wednesday's 6-4 Game 2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers. He tied the franchise record for most points by a defenseman in a single playoff game. LaCombe is the fourth Ducks blue-liner with as many as three points in a postseason contest, the first since Sami Vatanen in 2015. The 25-year-old has hit the ground running in his first postseason campaign, recording four assists in two games. Dating back to the regular season, he has finished on the score sheet in five consecutive outings. With Edmonton killing just 40 percent of penalties in the playoffs, LaCombe may keep thriving as the series progresses.

Jackson LaCombe Signs Largest Contract in Ducks History

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Jackson LaCombe signed an eight-year extension with the team on Thursday. While the team didn't disclose the financial terms of the contract, multiple reports state it's a $72 million deal for LaCombe, marking the largest contract the Ducks have ever handed out to a player. The 24-year-old will complete a two-year, $1.85 million pact with the upcoming campaign. Last season, LaCombe made great strides in his development, and his massive extension indicates that the team believes he still has a lot of room to grow. In 75 outings during the 2024-25 season, LaCombe recorded 43 points (14 goals, 29 assists), 134 shots, 129 blocks, and 69 hits.
