Jason Dickinson Leads Team To Victory With First Career Hat Trick

Chicago Blackhawks center Jason Dickinson recorded his first career hat trick in Friday's 4-3 overtime victory against the Maple Leafs. Dickinson's offensive outburst doubled his goal total for the season, as the 28-year-old forward entered the contest with three goals through 17 games. The 28-year-old will almost certainly set a new career-high in scoring during the 2023-24 season, with his previous career-best being nine goals on two occasions. Dickinson is worth rostering in deep fantasy formats as he ranks second on the team in scoring with totals of six goals and 11 points through 18 games.

Jason Dickinson Back In Blackhawks Lineup

Chicago Blackhawks forward Jason Dickinson (illness) is set to return from a two-game absence Wednesday against St. Louis. He's battled a non-COVID illness lately, losing 7-8 pounds and sitting out a pair of games. The 27-year-old has produced a surprisingly good start to the campaign, posting four goals and three assists in 11 outings. He has also handed out 16 hits and has blocked 10 shots from the opposition. Dickinson's return is likely bad news for Jujhar Khaira, who entered the lineup in his place last week.

Jason Dickinson Gets A Chance On Second Line

Vancouver Canucks forward Jason Dickinson will start Wednesday's contest against the Golden Knights on the second line. He'll skate with Bo Horvat and Conor Garland. The Canucks are forced to reshuffle the top six because Brock Boeser (upper body) is unavailable. Dickinson himself was recently out of action for multiple weeks and has only just made his return from a lower-body injury. The 26-year-old has only six points in 50 games this season, but playing on the second line will give him a good chance to up his productivity. Boeser is also set to miss Thursday's battle with the Coyotes, so this likely won't be a one-off thing for Dickinson.

Jason Dickinson Placed In COVID Protocol

Vancouver Canucks center Jason Dickinson was placed into the NHL's COVID protocol on Saturday night. This means he will not play against the Seattle Kraken. Due to injuries and other positive cases, Dickinson was playing almost a top-six role at times over the past three games. Typically, he is a bottom-six forward who plays 13-14 minutes a night. Overall, Dickinson has two goals and two assists in 31 games this season. Barring a false positive, the center may not be available till later next week at the earliest.
