Jason Zucker Moves On To Nashville

The Nashville Predators have acquired forward Jason Zucker from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for a 2024 sixth-round pick that originally belonged to the Dallas Stars. The Coyotes are not retaining any of Zucker's $5.3 million cap hit, lessening the return as a result. Zucker, who has been held out of the past two games for trade-related reasons, has recorded nine goals and 25 points across 51 games on the season. A veteran of 679 career NHL games, Zucker has tallied 191 goals and 363 points in that time. The Predators have won nine of their last 10 games, catapulting them into the top Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.

Jason Zucker To Remain Out Thursday

Arizona Coyotes winger Jason Zucker will once again be held out of the lineup for trade-related reasons for Thursday's contest versus the visiting Minnesota Wild. Zucker was held out of Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Blackhawks as the pending free agent is likely to be traded prior to Friday's trade deadline and the club protects against injury. The 32-year-old has had a decent season on a poor Coyotes offense with nine goals and 25 points across 51 games while registering 104 shots on goal in that time. He has averaged 14:02 minutes of ice time per game and has brought his typical physicality with 74 hits on the campaign. The Coyotes will be moving out pieces as they sit 18 points behind the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.

Jason Zucker Won't Play Tuesday For Trade-Related Reasons

Arizona Coyotes winger Jason Zucker will be a healthy scratch on Tuesday due to the looming trade deadline. Zucker is likely to be dealt before Friday and Arizona wants to keep him healthy until then. The 32-year-old has 25 points (nine goals, 16 assists) in 51 games this year with the Yotes, and could provide some depth scoring for a contender. He isn't likely to be relevant in fantasy outside of deeper leagues, but he could hold some streamer appeal.

Jason Zucker Suspended For Three Games

Arizona Coyotes winger Jason Zucker has received a three-game suspension for boarding Florida forward Nick Cousins on Tuesday night. Cousins landed in concussion protocol as a result of the hit. Zucker had previously never been fined or suspended in his 13-year NHL career. The veteran winger is playing his first year in Arizona and has registered 12 points (six goals, six assists) in 29 outings. It's been a disappointing campaign for him, and Zucker's lack of form has even resulted in him being relegated to the fourth line. Maybe a break in action will actually be good for him. Zucker will be eligible to return to the lineup on Jan. 11 versus Calgary.

Jason Zucker To Return To The Lineup Thursday

Arizona Coyotes forward Jason Zucker (upper body) will be back in the lineup Thursday when the club visits the St. Louis Blues. The veteran winger has missed notable time with the ailment after being injured as part of a 2-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Oct. 21. Zucker is expected to skate on a line with center Logan Cooley and winger Michael Carcone while veteran Travis Boyd is expected to come out of the lineup. Through his first five games with the Coyotes after signing a one-year deal with the club this summer, Zucker has tallied a pair of goals on 14 shots along with six penalty minutes in his 13:05 of average ice time per game.

Jason Zucker Considered Week-To-Week

Arizona Coyotes left wing Jason Zucker (lower body) is considered week-to-week. He was injured at the weekend in a matchup against the Ducks and has been placed on Injured Reserve. Zucker has produced two goals and 14 shots on goal in his first five games as a Coyote, skating on the second line and the second power-play unit. Third-liner Michael Carcone (upper body) was also hurt on Saturday, prompting the team to recall forwards Jan Jenik and Zach Sanford from the minors.

Jason Zucker Exits With Lower-Body Problem

Arizona Coyotes left wing Jason Zucker suffered a lower-body injury in Saturday's 2-1 win against Anaheim. The 31-year-old notched his second goal of the season in the game with a power-play tally but took only six shifts. The Coyotes also finished the game without Michael Carcone (upper body). Zucker's injury is definitely a bigger blow for the team. The veteran winger is a proven scorer in the league, and he had just started to gain momentum at his new club, scoring in back-to-back outings. Arizona will have to tweak its top-six group and second power-play unit if Zucker is unavailable for Tuesday's visit to L.A.

Jason Zucker Excited To Lead Young Coyotes

Arizona Coyotes winger Jason Zucker is looking forward to the challenge of helping his younger teammates on and off the ice. "It's a great young team, and kind of a new challenge for me being the oldest guy on the team," Zucker told NHL.com. "That will be a little bit weird, but it should be fun. I mean, it's a great problem to have when you have that many skilled, young guys that can come in and fill great roles and play an exciting brand of hockey. I'm excited." Zucker will also be expected to perform well on the ice after becoming the team's third highest-paid player when he signed a one-year, $5.3 million contract with the Coyotes as a free agent. The 31-year-old had the second-highest scoring output of his career last season with 48 points (27 goals, 21 assists) in 78 games.

Jason Zucker Scores Game-Winning Goal Against Lightning

Pittsburgh Penguins left wing Jason Zucker finished with two goals in Thursday's 5-4 overtime victory against the Lightning. Zucker gave the Penguins a one-goal advantage late in the second period and later scored the game-winning goal in overtime, giving him four goals over the past three games to pick up the pace offensively. Zucker is worth rostering in deeper fantasy formats as he is having his best scoring season since the 2019-20 campaign where he played for both the Wild and Penguins, and the veteran forward has played on the second line with center Evgeni Malkin and right wing Bryan Rust during the 2022-23 season.

Jason Zucker Pots Two Goals Wednesday

Pittsburgh Penguins left wing Jason Zucker recorded his first multi-goal outing of the campaign Wednesday, scoring two first-period goals in a 5-4 overtime loss to Detroit. Zucker put the Penguins 4-0 up with his second one on the power play, but the Red Wings found a way to produce an amazing comeback. It's the second time this season a team has erased a four-goal deficit and won. It was business as usual for Zucker in the matchup, as he extended his point streak against Detroit to seven games. He will surely be looking forward to the final few weeks of the regular season when these two teams have a couple of more meetings. Zucker is enjoying a good campaign on the Penguins' second line with eight goals and 15 assists registered in 31 games.

Jason Zucker A Game-Time Decision For Tuesday

Pittsburgh Penguins left wing Jason Zucker (lower body) is a game-time decision for Tuesday's matchup against the Rangers. The 30-year-old was considered week-to-week just a few days ago, but he's progressed well from a lower-body injury and might be able to return to action following a two-game stint on the sidelines. Zucker has had a very good campaign with 20 points in 27 games, skating on the second line with Evgeni Malkin. Danton Heinen has taken over from him and should continue in the role if Zucker still needs some more time to recover and can't play Tuesday. Fellow winger Josh Archibald (lower body) is also a game-time call for Tuesday.

Jason Zucker Out Week-To-Week

Pittsburgh Penguins left wing Jason Zucker has suffered a lower-body injury and is set to miss multiple games, with the team regarding him as week-to-week. The 30-year-old will have to pause a very good season after posting six goals and 14 assists in 27 games. His injury is set to open the door for Danton Heinen to return to action. He skated on the second line in Wednesday's practice and looks set to be back in the lineup Thursday versus Florida. Heinen had some success early in the campaign, starting out with six points in five games, but he's totaled only four additional points since then. Joining Evgeni Malkin's line should provide a big boost for him.

Jason Zucker Has Two Assists In Monday's Win

Pittsburgh Penguins winger Jason Zucker helped to set up both of the team's goals in Monday's 2-1 victory over Dallas. In the first period, he combined with Kasperi Kapanen to set up Pierre-Olivier Joseph for a power-play goal, and with only 35 seconds left in regulation, Zucker teamed up with Bryan Rust to help Evgeni Malkin pot the game-winning goal. The veteran winger had one shot himself in the game and completed his line with one block and two hits in 17:11 of ice time. Zucker has been in an awful slump lately, with this marking only the second time in 11 games that he's managed to grab any points, but his overall campaign has been very good. In 27 games, Zucker has provided six goals and 14 assists with 67 shots and 74 hits.

Jason Zucker Records Three Assists

Pittsburgh Penguins left wing Jason Zucker had a big performance in the assists department Saturday against Montreal, finishing a 5-4 overtime loss with three helpers. One of his assists came on the power play. Zucker also had three shots in the games and delivered one hit while finishing with a plus-two rating in 13:23 of ice time. The 30-year-old winger has heated up on the second line as of late, picking up seven points in his last six appearances. Saturday's performance boosted Zucker's season tally to 13 points. He's averaging a point per game and will crush his previous scoring record of 64 points if he can keep up this pace for the whole campaign.

Jason Zucker Misses Playoff Opener

Pittsburgh Penguins winger Jason Zucker (lower body) hasn't managed to recover for Tuesday's Game 1 against the Rangers. The veteran winger returned to practice on Monday but skated on his own and some reports suggest that Zucker won't be back until Game 3 at the earliest. The 30-year-old has struggled to stay healthy all season and ended up skating in just 41 regular-season games. He notched only 17 points this season, but his experience could be a major asset in the playoffs. Zucker's absence gives Danton Heinen a top-six role for the start of the postseason.

Jason Zucker Suffers A Fresh Injury

Pittsburgh Penguins winger Jason Zucker ended a 30-game absence on Thursday against Minnesota but lasted just 5:33 before suffering a new injury. He appeared to have hurt his right leg. Zucker returned after recovering from core muscle surgery and made an instant impact against his former team, registering an assist as Rickard Rakell opened the scoring just 1:06 into the game. There are some real concerns that it might be another long-term injury for Zucker, but he should be regarded as day-to-day for now. We should know more soon. Health issues have limited the experienced winger to just 32 games and 14 points this season.

Jason Zucker Could Return On Thursday

Pittsburgh Penguins winger Jason Zucker (lower body) was a full participant at Wednesday's practice and could return to action in Thursday's matchup against Minnesota. He last played on Jan. 17 and has been recovering from core muscle surgery. Zucker has skated in just 31 games this season, grabbing six goals and 13 points. However, he could be set for a very strong finish to the season, as he has been practicing with Evgeni Malkin and Rickard Rakell on the second line, which has a lot of scoring potential. Zucker also worked with the second power-play unit on Wednesday.

Jason Zucker Will Play Against Washington

Pittsburgh Penguins winger Jason Zucker will be in the lineup for Friday's marquee matchup against Washington. The 29-year-old was a game-time call for the contest after taking some maintenance days. Zucker will skate on the second line with Jeff Carter and Danton Heinen, entering the matchup on 10 points for the year. The Penguins top line will be made up of Evan Rodrigues, Sidney Crosby and Kasperi Kapanen, after Jake Guentzel (upper body) was ruled out earlier in the week.

Jason Zucker Set To Return To Action Monday Night

Pittsburgh Penguins winger Jason Zucker (lower body) has been activated from Injured Reserve and looks set to rejoin the lineup for Monday's clash with the Islanders. The 29-year-old hasn't played since Feb. 23. Zucker, who has four goals and seven points for the year in 17 games, will provide a much-needed boost for the Penguins, who have lost multiple forwards to injuries over the past couple of weeks. Zucker is officially a game-time decision, but he practiced on the second line alongside Jared McCann and Evan Rodrigues on Sunday and should be ready to play. Brandon Tanev and Mark Jankowski are also available again after they were removed from the COVID-19 list.

Jason Zucker Has Two Points Tuesday Night

Pittsburgh Penguins winger Jason Zucker put together a two-point performance on Tuesday with one goal and one assist in a 3-2 overtime loss to Boston. He scored his first goal of the season in the third period, before combining with Evgeni Malkin to set up Kasperi Kapanen. Zucker was busy all night, registering four shots and five hits. He had somehow gone three games without recording a single shot on target, so he made up a little for the poor run. Zucker has been a bit slow to start off this campaign, but he had a nice run as a Penguin last season with 12 points in 16 games, and playing alongside Malkin gives him a great opportunity to continue racking up the points.
