Conor Timmins to Miss 6-8 Weeks With Broken Leg

Buffalo Sabres defenseman Conor Timmins broke his left leg in Thursday's 5-3 victory over the Buffalo Sabres and will miss 6-8 weeks of action. The Sabres had a great night, with five different skaters lighting the lamp, but it was dampened by Timmins' injury late in the third period. The recovery timeline indicates that Timmins definitely won't be ready to play before February, and he will probably remain sidelined until after the Olympic break. Timmins doesn't do much on the offensive end but leads Buffalo with 70 blocks this season. He has gone goalless with 33 efforts on the net and has registered six assists in 33 games. Jacob Bryson is likely to replace Timmins in the lineup, but he doesn't have any fantasy value.

Conor Timmins Avoids Salary Arbitration with Two-Year Deal

Buffalo Sabres defenseman Conor Timmins has agreed to a two-year, $4.4 million deal with his new team. The 26-year-old was a restricted free agent and scheduled for salary arbitration. Timmins is a fresh face in Buffalo after the Sabres picked him up in a trade with the Pittsburgh Penguins during the draft. Last season, Timmins made 68 appearances between the Penguins and Toronto Maple Leafs, recording 15 points (three goals, 12 assists), 69 shots, and 90 blocks with a plus-11 rating. He's been an effective player for teams but doesn't have enough in his game to make a difference in fantasy hockey.

Conor Timmins Set To Miss Time

Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Conor Timmins (lower body) is set to miss time after exiting Friday's preseason contest versus Montreal early with injury. "He is going to miss some time, he is going to be out for a bit," Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe said of Timmins. The injury is a bitter pill to swallow for Timmins, as the 25-year-old was enjoying a great preseason with six points (two goals, four assists) in three games. Timmins also gave a good account of himself last season with a 14-point effort in 25 games, and he is poised for a bigger role in 2023-24. However, his status for the start of the regular season is now up in the air.
