Justin Danforth Likely To Play On Saturday

Columbus Blue Jackets winger Justin Danforth (illness) is expected to play on Saturday against the Sharks. Danforth couldn't practice with the team on Friday due to an illness, but it looks like he will be good to go for Saturday's game. The 30-year-old has gone ice-cold lately by registering only one point in 14 appearances since the start of January, but he's done well overall to provide some depth scoring. In 52 appearances this season, Danforth has contributed nine goals and 10 assists.

Justin Danforth Sits Out Sunday

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Justin Danforth (upper body) won't be available for Sunday's clash with the Rangers. The 29-year-old impressed this week on the third line by scoring in back-to-back games, but he was injured in Saturday's 6-3 loss to Pittsburgh and hasn't been able to recover in time for Sunday's outing. Danforth's absence will allow Liam Foudy to make his season debut. The 22-year-old is a former first-round pick and will look to make a mark after failing to have an impact in the big league so far. Foudy has yet to score in the NHL in 27 outings and boasts only five points.
