Conor Sheary A Game-Time Decision Tuesday

Tampa Bay Lightning winger Conor Sheary (hand) is considered a game-time decision for Tuesday's matchup against the Jets. He missed Sunday's game against Montreal with a hand injury but could be back in the lineup, with Tampa Bay desperate for some healthy bodies. The team lost two defensemen versus the Canadiens and could end up playing a man short Tuesday night if Sheary isn't ready to play. The 27-year-old speedster has posted seven points (one goal, six assists) in 20 games this season.

Conor Sheary Placed On Injured Reserve With Upper-Body Injury

Tampa Bay Lightning forward Conor Sheary (upper body) has been placed on IR after getting hurt in Tuesday's game against the Montreal Canadiens. Sheary only played one shift before leaving the game and will now face at least a seven-day absence. The 31-year-old had an important role on the Lightning, playing on the second line alongside Steven Stamkos and Nick Paul. While he only had three points in 13 games, he clearly had his coach's trust. Michael Eyssimont and Tyler Motte are behind Sheary on the Lightning's right wing depth chart, but Alex Barre-Boulet could also shift over to the right side if they are looking for more scoring touch on their second line.

Conor Sheary Extends Point Streak To Four Games

Washington Capitals winger Conor Sheary extended his point streak to four games in Wednesday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Islanders and now sits just one game shy of matching his career-best scoring run. Sheary scored the Capitals' only goal Wednesday and his point streak includes three goals in total. Before starting his current streak, Sheary posted only one point in 19 games and the lack of production has resulted in him having to settle for a fourth-line role, but he's made a big impact in limited minutes. The 30-year-old has notched 15 goals in total this season with 20 assists in 75 games.

Conor Sheary Joins First Line With Connor Brown Out Long-Term

Washington Capitals right wing Connor Brown (lower body) has been placed on Injured Reserve and will be out long-term. The former Senator was injured on Monday against Vancouver and there's a possibility that he will need to undergo surgery. The Capitals already have one major absentee on the right wing with Tom Wilson (knee). Wilson's absence allowed Brown to open the season on the top line, but he couldn't get much done, going pointless in four games and registering only two shots on goal with a minus-three rating. Conor Sheary is the next man up and will join Alex Ovechkin and Lars Eller on the first line Thursday against Ottawa. Aliaksei Protas will also see top-six minutes as Evgeny Kuznetsov serves a one-game suspension.

Conor Sheary Set For First-Line Duty

Washington Capitals winger Conor Sheary is set to join Alex Ovechkin and Evgeny Kuznetsov on the top line Wednesday against Tampa Bay. He linked up with the team's top scorers at Tuesday's practice after head coach Peter Laviolette decided to flip things around once again. Washington's first line has seen a lot of combinations lately, with Ovechkin being the only player ever-present on it. Sheary is a speedy winger who has demonstrated a good ability to get to the end of things and make plays. He's bagged the fourth-most goals on the team this season with 16 and sits on 34 points with 59 games played.

Conor Sheary Two Goal Night Sinks San Jose

Washington Capitals left-winger Conor Sheary opened the scoring then tallied a nice rebound goal in the win on Saturday. Sheary racked up four shots on goal in 15:24 of ice time. Also, he had three scoring chances as Sheary and Alex Ovechkin had some night when on the ice together. It just seemed San Jose had few answers for the two players. It also did not help that Adin Hill gave up on the third Washington goal which was Sheary's second. The left-winger is now up to five goals on the season.

Conor Sheary Nets Game-Winner In Overtime

Washington Capitals winger Conor Sheary delivered the team another two points on Saturday, scoring a 2-1 game-winner against Philadelphia with exactly a minute left in overtime. Lars Eller ruined Alex Lyon's bid for his first career shutout with only 20 seconds left in regulation. The Capitals won despite missing many of their regulars. Sheary ended up logging a season-high 20:38 thanks to that. He now boasts 12 goals and 22 points in 52 games ahead of the team's regular-season finale against Boston on Tuesday.

Conor Sheary Enjoys Three-Point Night Versus Flyers

Washington Capitals winger Conor Sheary factored in three goals during Tuesday's 6-1 home win against the Flyers, opening the scoring and handing out two power-play assists. The 28-year-old speedster is on the second power-play unit. Sheary has been used everywhere in the lineup this season and is currently sitting on the third line with Lars Eller and Daniel Sprong. He's found some nice bit of form in recent outings with five points in two games. Sheary has managed 11 goals and 19 points for the whole year in 40 games. He should be a pretty attractive fantasy piece in deep fantasy formats with Washington being the second-best team in the league with the man advantage. The Winchester, Massachusetts native is also in a perfect spot to perform next, as the Capitals welcome the Sabres to town on Thursday.

Conor Sheary Scores Fifth Goal Of The Season

Washington Capitals winger Conor Sheary lit the lamp for the fifth time this year in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to Pittsburgh. He put the Capitals 2-1 up in the contest after Richard Panik had notched Washington's first. Sheary has seen very little success in Washington since coming over from Pittsburgh, but he has started to show signs of life in recent outings with three goals in five games. He has battled his way to Evgeny Kuznetsov's line and is nicely set up for a fruitful period. The 28-year-old speedster has another revenge game against the Penguins on Thursday and will then face New Jersey in back-to-back matchups to finish off the week.

Conor Sheary Strikes Twice On Thursday

Washington Capitals left wing Conor Sheary scored his first two goals with the team in a 6-3 win over the New York Islanders. Going into Thursday's contest, Sheary had recorded just one point through five games. Before posting two goals in the contest, Sheary had just two shots on goal all season. The Capitals had a five-goal second period, which included back-to-back tallies scored by Sheary. The Capitals have been outstanding so far with a record of 5-0-3 and have extended their point streak to eight games. This streak has continued despite the team not having forwards Alex Ovechkin, Evgeny Kuznetsov, defenseman Dmitry Orlov, and goaltender Ilya Samsonov for the last four games because of COVID-19 protocol. Washington will look to stay hot as they face the Boston Bruins on Saturday.
