Boston Bruins defenseman Jordan Harris (ankle) won't be available for approximately two months after undergoing surgery, the team announced. He injured his right ankle in a game against the Florida Panthers on Oct. 21 and had the procedure done earlier this week. Harris is playing his first year in Boston and has done well. In five appearances, the 25-year-old has managed two points (one goal, one assist), three blocks, and four hits. Before the ankle injury, Harris was filling in for Hampus Lindholm in the Bruins defense. With a fully healthy squad, he doesn't have a regular role on the team.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have picked up defenseman Jordan Harris in a trade with the Montreal Canadiens. The 24-year-old blue-liner was sent to Ohio in exchange for Patrik Laine, with the Blue Jackets also receiving a 2026 second-round draft selection. After being named the Hockey East Best Defensive Defenseman in 2022, Harris made 131 appearances with the Canadiens, posting 32 points (eight goals, 24 assists). Last season, he had three goals and 11 assists in 56 games, adding 86 blocks on the defensive end. Harris averages close to 1.5 blocks per game for his career but is fairly limited offensively, making him a non-factor in fantasy hockey.

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Jordan Harris will be on the shelf indefinitely with a lower-body injury. The 23-year-old returned from a two-game absence at the weekend but suffered a new injury blow, and it's going to be a while until he's ready to play again. Harris logged 23:15 of ice time and finished as a plus-four for the game, adding three shots and one block to his line with two penalty minutes. It was an impressive performance by Harris, but he entered Sunday's action with an 18-game scoring drought and he holds very little value in fantasy hockey. The 22-year-old has totaled 13 points in 49 games with 52 shots on net, 40 hits and 68 blocks.
