Matt Boldy News
Minnesota Wild winger Matt Boldy had two goals as the team recorded a 4-2 road win against the Oilers on Friday. Boldy scored the first goal of the game late in the first period, and his second marker in the middle of the third frame ended up being the game-winner. The American youngster registered his 11th career multi-goal effort -- only Marian Gaborik (14) has had more such games at age 22 or younger in Wild history. Boldy has blown hot and cold in recent games, but fantasy managers won't complain about his overall numbers. The Wild winger has totaled six goals and seven assists in eight games this month, pushing his overall tally to 46 points (22 goals, 24 assists) with 50 games played.
Minnesota Wild winger Matt Boldy led the way with three points in Tuesday's 5-2 victory over the Flames, scoring two goals and delivering one assist. He helped Marcus Foligno on the scoreboard early in the game before hitting two goals, including one on the power play, in the second period. The Wild are looking like a completely different team under John Hynes, and the new head coach has also gotten some extra juice out of Boldy, who's posted four goals and one assist in four games since Minnesota's coaching change. In his previous 12 appearances this season, Boldy has produced only one goal. He's reached 13 points in 16 contests for the campaign.
Minnesota Wild winger Matt Boldy (upper body) will likely return to the lineup on Thursday against the New Jersey Devils. Boldy has missed the last seven games with an upper-body injury suffered on October 14. The 22-year-old had a goal and an assist in his first two games this season after an excellent sophomore campaign where he notched 63 points (31 goals, 32 assists) in 81 games. If he does return Thursday, he should slot right back into his role on the second line and first powerplay unit, making him a must-start fantasy option.
Minnesota Wild winger Matt Boldy (upper body) is with the team as the Wild start a four-game road trip with Tuesday's matchup against Edmonton. He has been out for three games, but it looks like Boldy could make his return this week. The Athletic's Michael Russo has suggested that Boldy might be ready to return Sunday versus New Jersey. Boldy started the season with a goal and an assist across two games before getting sidelined by an upper-body injury. Pat Maroon is the latest player to get a shot on the second line in his absence.
