Rasmus Dahlin News
Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin was one of the catalysts in Tuesday's 6-2 triumph over Washington, completing the contest with a goal and two assists. He scored his 18th goal of the season on the power play and delivered a pair of even-strength assists for his ninth career three-point outing. Dahlin has set a new career high in goals scored this season and is on track for a 60-point campaign, having also collected 38 assists in 75 appearances. However, the Swedish blue-liner has been inconsistent with his work on the offensive end lately, going scoreless in five of his last eight outings.
Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin scored the overtime winner as part of his team's come-from-behind 3-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday. He also added an assist on the night alongside a pair of shots on goal. The winner came on the power play 1:42 into the extra frame after Tage Thompson tied the game in the second half of the third period. The tally was Dahlin's 15th of the season, good for a share of first among NHL blueliners alongside the Flames' MacKenzie Weegar. Dahlin has added 31 assists for 46 points across 59 games on the campaign. The 23-year-old broke out with 15 goals and 73 points across 78 games on the season in the 2022-23 campaign while putting 204 shots on goal. With the win, the Sabres improved to 28-28-4 on the season as they sit sixth in the Metropolitan Division.
Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin (lower body) will return from a one-game absence Saturday versus Montreal. He was hurt Tuesday against Detroit and couldn't play in Thursday's meeting with Boston, but luckily for the Sabres, Dahlin is good to go again on Saturday. The offensively-gifted blue-liner sits among the team's top scorers with 21 points (six goals, 15 assists) in 26 games. Dahlin averages over 25 minutes of ice time for the season and should also be a busy man against the Canadiens.
Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin (lower body) missed Thursday's game against the Boston Bruins and will be a game-time decision on Saturday against the Montreal Canadiens. Dahlin played over 25 minutes on Tuesday, but he suffered an injury at some time during that game and it has apparently gotten worse as time has gone by. The 23-year-old has continued to impress after a breakout campaign last year, notching 21 points (six goals, 15 assists) in 26 games this season as part of Buffalo's first pairing and top powerplay unit. If he misses another game, Owen Power will continue to quarterback the first unit.
