Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen will get the starting nod on Thursday evening when the Sabres travel to Tampa Bay to face the Lightning. Luukkonen is carrying a two-game losing skid into this contest and will have an easy matchup facing a potent Tampa Bay offense. Over his last two games, Luukkonen has held a high 4.13 GAA with a .855 save percentage. However, before this two-game skid, the 25-year-old has held a solid 5-1 record with a .879 save percentage and a 3.11 GAA. During this span he allowed two goals or less in four of his games. According to Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio, Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (undisclosed) is a game-time decision for Saturday's contest against the Nashville Predators. Luukkonen was unable to suit up in their previous contest on Tuesday evening but may only be facing a one-game absence. Hamilton noted that the goaltender "looked good" during Friday's practice and will continue to be monitored leading up to Saturday's game. Prior to his injury, Luukkonen was riding a three-game winning streak. The 25-year-old held a 2.67 GAA with a .902 percent SV during this stretch. Over his previous seven contests, Luukkonen has carried a .903 percent SV with a 2.74 GAA. If he is able to play, Luukkonen is a viable option in DFS formats facing the Predators.
