Rays
Tampa Bay Rays third base prospect Brayden Taylor has begun to heat up at the plate since joining Double-A and is showcasing his power upside. In his past three games, Taylor has gone deep twice and tallied a triple with five RBI and a 3:4 BB:K. Before this, he went 1-for-26 through his first seven games at Double-A. Earlier this season at High-A, Taylor went deep 14 times with 26 swiped bags and a .269/.389/.513 slash line. Since being selected with the 19th overall pick in last year's draft out of TCU, Taylor has progressed quite quickly through the minor leagues. If he continues to develop at this pace, a 2025 major-league debut is not out of the question.

Brayden Taylor Getting Promoted To Double-A
Tampa Bay Rays third baseman prospect Brayden Taylor is being promoted to Double-A Montgomery after putting on a power-speed display at High-A. The 22-year-old posted a .271-14-45-71-26 line over 83 games. In MLB.com's updated prospect ranks, the former first-round draft pick rose 22 spots, from No. 82 to No. 60 overall. He should see time at the upper levels of the minors in 2025, and with the Rays cleaning house at the big league level, it's possible he even has a path to a major league debut next season if he continues to hit.

Brayden Taylor Rips Homer For High-A Bowling Green
Tampa Bay Rays third base prospect Brayden Taylor went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI for High-A Bowling Green on Thursday. Taylor has four homers and nine RBI in July but is hitting just .226. The Rays' No. 4 prospect is having a nice season at Bowling Green with 14 homers and 45 RBI to go with a .273 batting average and 25 stolen bases. The 22-year-old offers high upside with his bat as well as with his speed on the base paths. He could earn a promotion to Double-A by season's end but is still probably a few years away from a major-league debut. He is a high-ceiling prospect worth monitoring.

Brayden Taylor Showing Off Power And Speed At High-A
Tampa Bay Rays third baseman prospect Brayden Taylor had a solid first half for High-A Bowling Green, posting a .279-13-43-62-24 line over 76 games. The 22-year-old impressed so much that he rose 22 spots on MLB.com's latest prospect re-rank, going from 82 to 60. A promotion to Double-A in the second half appears to be in the cards, although his MLB debut isn't expected to be until 2026. It's not unreasonable to think he could see a late-season debut in 2025, however, so dynasty managers should be keeping an eye on the former first-round pick's ascension.

Brayden Taylor Continues Red-Hot June
Tampa Bay Rays third base prospect Brayden Taylor was 4-for-4 with a home run and two RBI for High-A Bowling Green on Tuesday. The performance continued a torrid month for the 22-year-old, hitting .367 with four homers and 12 RBI to go with seven stolen bases in June. The Rays' No. 4 overall prospect now has 10 homers, 33 RBI, and 17 steals this season while hitting .289 with a .956 OPS. Taylor's sweet left-handed swing and pure hitting ability make him an intriguing prospect to monitor. He will likely require more minor-league seasoning but could become a staple of the Rays' infield in a few years.

Brayden Taylor Holding His Own At High-A
Tampa Bay Rays third base prospect Brayden Taylor has produced well in his first look at High-A pitching. Across 41 games this season with High-A Bowling Green, the former TCU product as put up a .252/.395/.469 with six long balls, 20 RBI, and ten stolen bases. In addition, through his past eleven games, he has only gone hitless in two of them. While the former 19th overall selection in the 2023 MLB Draft is still several seasons away from the major leagues, it is promising to see him perform well against tougher competition through the early part of the season. The 22-year-old could make a case to join Double-A later this summer, but the Rays may err on the side of caution with their budding star.
