Deyvison De Los Santos Trending Up, Promotion on the Horizon?

Miami Marlins first base prospect Deyvison De Los Santos is having another down year in the power department by his standards, though he set the bar pretty high. Back in 2024, the powerful Dominican led all minor leaguers with 40 home runs (next closest had 34), 30 of which came at Triple-A during his time in both the Arizona and Miami organizations across 99 games. Last season, that number dipped to 12 home runs in 106 games at Triple-A, and so far this season, the 6-foot-1 slugger is up to just seven home runs through 52 games. Despite the step back, the right-handed hitter earned a promotion to the big leagues for a brief major league debut earlier this season and should be back at some point this year. He's been hitting better as of late, going 14-for-52 (.269) with a pair of doubles, a triple, and two home runs over his last 12 games, so he could be looking at another call-up in the not-too-distant future. With nine steals this year (and 16 in '25), another element has been added to his game, so his fantasy appeal has also been elevated. With his potential power, the right-handed hitter should be on fantasy managers' radar, and anything else that comes with it (i.e. stolen bases) should be considered icing on the cake.

Deyvison De Los Santos a Priority Target as Call-Up Looms?

Miami Marlins outfielder Deyvison De Los Santos has spent most of the 2026 season in Triple-A, but his production at the plate could be enough to earn a promotion to the majors soon. In the minors this year, he's slashing .251/.307/.406 with six homers, 30 RBI, nine steals, an 18.5% strikeout rate, and a 6.8% walk rate. He's also hitting the ball hard, as evidenced by his 108.4 mph EV90, which ranks in the 97th percentile at Triple-A. The swing decisions have ranked right around average, which isn't too concerning for a power-first prospect. De Los Santos' ability to make hard contact makes him an intriguing extra-base hit (and, specifically, home run) threat upon his return to the majors. He's a very appealing waiver wire stash in deeper fantasy leagues. Managers should act fast and add him now, while he's only rostered in 1% of leagues.

Deyvison De Los Santos Nearing Return to Majors Following HR Surge in Minors?

Miami Marlins corner infielder Deyvison De Los Santos is seeing the ball well with the Triple-A Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp right now and could be on the verge of returning to the big leagues early in June. The 22-year-old Dominican is currently hitting .266 (45-for-169) with six home runs, 30 RBI, 22 runs scored, and eight stolen bases in his 43 games with Jacksonville. He got a cup of coffee with the big-league club back in early April and went 2-for-7 at the plate with a double and three strikeouts in just three games played before being shipped back to the farm. De Los Santos isn't among the Marlins' top-30 prospects at MLB Pipeline, but his impressive raw power and high exit velocities on the farm make him an intriguing dynasty/keeper stash with another MLB call-up likely to come sooner rather than later in 2026. In the last 28 days at Triple-A, De Los Santos is hitting .293 (24-for-82) with two homers and 15 RBI. He can be had in nearly all Yahoo leagues, as he's currently rostered in just 1% of formats.

Marlins Calling Up Deyvison De Los Santos

The Miami Marlins are calling up first baseman Deyvison De Los Santos from Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday, a source told Kevin Barral of Fish On First. The move comes with outfielder Griffin Conine (knee) likely to land on the 10-day injured list after injuring his left knee while diving for a ball in the outfield in Thursday's win over the Cincinnati Reds. It will be the second time that the 22-year-old is with the Marlins in 2026, as he went 1-for-2 with a double in a short stint with the Fish earlier in April. He will compete for at-bats in Miami between first base and designated hitter, but he's unlikely to play enough to generate any real interest from fantasy managers in mixed leagues. Raw power is De Los Santos' calling card, but his poor defensive play and issues making contact will need to improve for him to have a chance at more playing time down the road in the big leagues.

Marlins Send Deyvison De Los Santos Back to Triple-A

The Miami Marlins are sending first base prospect Deyvison De Los Santos back to Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday, according to Craig Mish of Sports Grid. It will make room for recently acquired infielder Leo Jimenez. With De Los Santos back in the minors, Connor Norby should play a lot of first base until Christopher Morel (oblique) returns from the 10-day injured list. The 22-year-old De Los Santos went 1-for-2 with a double in a cup of coffee with the Fish to begin the 2026 regular season, but the Marlins would like to get him more development on the farm. De Los Santos adds very little defensively, so he's going to need to hit to find his way into the lineup at the big-league level consistently. That may be asking a lot for a player that had a below-average 85 wRC+ last year in the minors. The good news is that De Los Santos showed more plate discipline and made more contact, but his quality of contact left plenty to be desired. For the time being, De Los Santos is merely a stash candidate in dynasty formats for his raw power at the plate.

Marlins Promote Deyvison De Los Santos to Major Leagues

According to Kevin Barral of Fish on First, the Miami Marlins are promoting first base prospect Deyvison De Los Santos to the major-league roster. De Los Santos began the 2026 campaign with Triple-A Jacksonville but needed just one game before earning his first call to the big leagues. On Friday night in Jacksonville's season opener, De Los Santos went 2-for-4 with a home run. Earlier on Friday, the Marlins scratched first baseman Christopher Morel (oblique) from the starting nine. Given that the Marlins promoted their top first base prospect, Morel could be in danger of missing time on the injured list. In 2025, De Los Santos spent nearly his entire season with Triple-A and held a .241/.311/.363 line with 11 doubles and 12 home runs. For now, he is worth adding in deeper 12+ team leagues as a speculative source for power at the corner infield spot.

Deyvison De Los Santos Homers Thursday

Miami Marlins third base prospect Deyvison De Los Santos went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss against Triple-A Norfolk. It was the slugger's first long ball of August and his first one since July 22. However, he's still been productive at the plate during the month, cutting down the strikeouts and taking more walks with a 7:9 BB:K ratio in 45-at bats. It's led to a .289 average and .385 on-base percentage compared to his season-long marks of .251 and .321. The power is most appealing about De Los Santos' profile, but it comes with a good amount of chase and strikeouts, which limit his upside. It's a small sample so far in August, but it's still positive to see. De Los Santos ranks as the number 24 prospect in the Marlins system according to MLB.com.

Deyvison De Los Santos Goes Deep Tuesday

Miami Marlins third base prospect Deyvison De Los Santos went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's 8-4 win against Triple-A Durham. It's been a fairly quiet month of July for the 22-year-old overall, as he is slashing just .224/.283/.408 with three homers in 49-at bats. De Los Santos has big-time raw power, but it comes with a free-swinging and undisciplined approach. His 35.9 percent chase rate at Triple-A this season is well below average, and it comes with a dangerous 17 percent swinging strike rate. Positively, he's cut his chase rate down nearly 10 percentage points from last season. However, the high rate of swing and miss, along with an unrefined approach, limits his upside. He profiles as a low OBP, slugging corner infielder and could see some time in the majors as the season winds down.

Deyvison De Los Santos to Continue Rehab at Single-A

Miami Marlins corner infield prospect Deyvison De Los Santos (quad) is set to continue his rehab assignment with Single-A Jupiter on Tuesday. The 21-year-old suffered a quad strain in mid-May that sidelined him for a month. He played two games with the team's FCL affiliate last week prior to his Single-A assignment. It shouldn't be long before he rejoins Triple-A Jacksonville, where he was slashing .250/.317/.399 with five home runs in 40 games before the injury. The Marlins' 11th-ranked prospect has huge power, blasting a minor league-leading 40 home runs last season between Double and Triple-A. A 30.5 percent strikeout rate in 2025 is concerning, but the power potential and above-average walk rate of 9.3 percent help offset it. If he gets on a roll, expect to see him make his major league debut later this year, and he could even become a stash candidate in redraft leagues.

Deyvison De Los Santos Slugs Two-Run Home Run On Thursday

Miami Marlins third base prospect Deyvison De Los Santos went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run against Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday. The slugger hit his fifth home run of the season to bring his season slash line to .252/.319/.401 with a 92 wRC+ over 39 games in Triple-A. De Los Santos has struggled more lately, batting just .174 and striking out 15 times in 46 ABs in May. The 22-year-old is still hitting the ball hard with a 47.9% HardHit% and has a path to making his big league debut sometime in the near future. His 70-grade power would make him an interesting speculative pickup in various formats. He is currently ranked as the No. 12 prospect in the Marlins system on MLB.com.
