Deyvison De Los Santos Homers Thursday

Miami Marlins third base prospect Deyvison De Los Santos went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss against Triple-A Norfolk. It was the slugger's first long ball of August and his first one since July 22. However, he's still been productive at the plate during the month, cutting down the strikeouts and taking more walks with a 7:9 BB:K ratio in 45-at bats. It's led to a .289 average and .385 on-base percentage compared to his season-long marks of .251 and .321. The power is most appealing about De Los Santos' profile, but it comes with a good amount of chase and strikeouts, which limit his upside. It's a small sample so far in August, but it's still positive to see. De Los Santos ranks as the number 24 prospect in the Marlins system according to MLB.com.

Deyvison De Los Santos Goes Deep Tuesday

Miami Marlins third base prospect Deyvison De Los Santos went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's 8-4 win against Triple-A Durham. It's been a fairly quiet month of July for the 22-year-old overall, as he is slashing just .224/.283/.408 with three homers in 49-at bats. De Los Santos has big-time raw power, but it comes with a free-swinging and undisciplined approach. His 35.9 percent chase rate at Triple-A this season is well below average, and it comes with a dangerous 17 percent swinging strike rate. Positively, he's cut his chase rate down nearly 10 percentage points from last season. However, the high rate of swing and miss, along with an unrefined approach, limits his upside. He profiles as a low OBP, slugging corner infielder and could see some time in the majors as the season winds down.

Deyvison De Los Santos to Continue Rehab at Single-A

Miami Marlins corner infield prospect Deyvison De Los Santos (quad) is set to continue his rehab assignment with Single-A Jupiter on Tuesday. The 21-year-old suffered a quad strain in mid-May that sidelined him for a month. He played two games with the team's FCL affiliate last week prior to his Single-A assignment. It shouldn't be long before he rejoins Triple-A Jacksonville, where he was slashing .250/.317/.399 with five home runs in 40 games before the injury. The Marlins' 11th-ranked prospect has huge power, blasting a minor league-leading 40 home runs last season between Double and Triple-A. A 30.5 percent strikeout rate in 2025 is concerning, but the power potential and above-average walk rate of 9.3 percent help offset it. If he gets on a roll, expect to see him make his major league debut later this year, and he could even become a stash candidate in redraft leagues.

Deyvison De Los Santos Slugs Two-Run Home Run On Thursday

Miami Marlins third base prospect Deyvison De Los Santos went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run against Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday. The slugger hit his fifth home run of the season to bring his season slash line to .252/.319/.401 with a 92 wRC+ over 39 games in Triple-A. De Los Santos has struggled more lately, batting just .174 and striking out 15 times in 46 ABs in May. The 22-year-old is still hitting the ball hard with a 47.9% HardHit% and has a path to making his big league debut sometime in the near future. His 70-grade power would make him an interesting speculative pickup in various formats. He is currently ranked as the No. 12 prospect in the Marlins system on MLB.com.

Deyvison De Los Santos Heating Up At Triple-A

Miami Marlins infield prospect Deyvison De Los Santos went 2-for-4 with a home run during Wednesday's contest against Triple-A Durham. This was De Los Santos' second home run over his last three games and second multi-hit game during this stretch. Over his last 13 games, De Los Santos has posted a .327/.375/.577 slash line with two doubles, one triple, three home runs, and one stolen base. However, prior to this stretch, the infielder held a modest .245/.321/.286 line with just two doubles over his first 14 games of the Triple-A campaign. Last summer, the 21-year-old flashed elite power upside at the Triple-A level and appears to be turning the corner after his slow start. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on his progression as he should be in the mix to make his MLB debut in the coming weeks.

Deyvison De Los Santos Posts Four-Hit Game

Miami Marlins infield prospect Deyvison De Los Santos went 4-for-5 with a triple and an RBI during his contest against Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday evening. Santos also swiped a bag in this contest. This performance extended his current hitting streak to six games. During this impressive stretch, the 21-year-old has held an impressive .400/.481/.720 slash line with two doubles, one triple, and a home run. This is a great sign as Santos got off to a slow start to the season. Over his first 14 games of the season, Santos held a .245/.321/.286 slash line with just two doubles and a 22:6 K:BB. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progression at Triple-A, as he should be in the mix to make his MLB debut later this summer. Last season, Santos posted an impressive .264/.311/.523 line with 26 home runs during his first extended look at Triple-A.

Deyvison De Los Santos Sent To Triple-A

Miami Marlins first base prospect Deyvison De Los Santos has been optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville. The infielder was competing for a spot on the Opening Day roster but will instead opt to open the campaign in the minor leagues. De Los Santos is one of the top bats in the Miami system. Last season, De Los Santos opened his season with Double-A but eventually was promoted to Triple-A. Through 38 games at Double-A, De Los Santos posted a .373/.426/.696 slash line with four doubles and 14 home runs. Through his first 49 contests at Triple-A, the 21-year-old posted a .289/.338/.588 slash line. He was then traded to the Marlins in a package that sent A.J. Puk to the desert. With Triple-A Jacksonville, De Los Santos saw his production drop to a .264/.311/.523 line with seven doubles and 12 home runs. If he continues to flash power at Triple-A, he will likely reach the majors early in the 2025 campaign.

Deyvison De Los Santos May Start Season At Triple-A

According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, Miami Marlins first base/third base prospect Deyvison De Los Santos may open the season at Triple-A. Jackson noted that the young infielder needs to reduce his strikeout rate and will "likely" begin the season with Triple-A Jacksonville. Last season, the Marlins traded left-hander A.J. Puk to the Diamondbacks to acquire De Los Santos. The 21-year-old opened the season at the Double-A level and posted a strong .372/.426/.696 slash line with 14 long balls across 38 games. Then, in 99 games at Triple-A (split between Reno and Jacksonville), De Los Santos held a .264/.311/.523 slash line with 21 doubles and 26 long balls. However, he held a poor 22:108 BB:K ratio. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progression during spring training. He will likely compete for a corner infield spot alongside Jonah Bride, Connor Norby, and Matt Mervis.

Deyvison De Los Santos Launches Home Run No. 36

Miami Marlins first base/third base prospect Deyvison De Los Santos went 2-for-6 with a double and his 36th home run of the 2024 campaign. De Los Santos was traded to the Marlins at the deadline in exchange for left-handed pitcher A.J. Puk. The infielder opened the campaign at the Double-A level and posted an excellent .372/.426/.696 line through a 38-game stint. Then, through 77 games at Triple-A (split between Reno and Jacksonville), he sits with a .278/.326/.562 line with 22 home runs and 70 RBI. De Los Santos has emerged as one of the best power hitters in the minor leagues and could be in contention for a late-season major league debut. Deeper league managers should continue to stash the 21-year-old as he could provide elite power down the stretch.

Deyvison De Los Santos Extends Minor-League Home Run Lead

Miami Marlins third base/first base prospect Deyvison De Los Santos hit his 35th home run of the season on Wednesday for the Triple-A Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. It is his seventh homer in 21 games with his new team after he was acquired by the Marlins from the Arizona Diamondbacks at the trade deadline. De Los Santos has hit his 35 homers with three different teams this season and has not slowed down with his new organization. He is the Marlins' No. 5 prospect and should earn a shot in Miami before the season is over. His power production this season is very impressive. It may be hard for that to translate immediately but he could thrive in Miami as the Marlins look to the future in their rebuild.
