Kyle Stowers Begins Running Progression

Miami Marlins outfielder Kyle Stowers (hamstring) has begun a running progression, per Stephen Strom of Marlins Radio Network. Stowers has not played since August 9 due to a hamstring strain. However, the fact that Stowers has already begun running could be an indication that he will not miss significant time due to the injury. Across 399 plate appearances on the year, the 28-year-old is hitting .242/.327/.462 with 16 home runs, 52 RBI, 44 runs scored, and one stolen base. The lefty-swinging Stowers has struck out in 31.3% of his plate appearances and owns a .530 OPS against same-handed pitching, both of which limit his fantasy value. Still, Stowers has logged an elite 55.0% hard-hit rate, which helps mitigate his swing-and-miss issues and hints at his high-end power upside. Once healthy, Stowers profiles as a useful power bat for fantasy managers.

Marlins Place Kyle Stowers on Injured List With Hamstring Strain

The Miami Marlins announced on Tuesday that they placed first baseman/outfielder Kyle Stowers (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to Aug. 10) with a strained left hamstring and recalled infielder Graham Pauley from Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move. Stowers is on the shelf after tweaking his left hamstring in the team's series finale on Sunday against the Los Angeles Angels. It's the second time this year that Stowers has gone on the IL with a hamstring issue, although earlier this year he dealt with a right-hamstring strain. The 28-year-old left-handed slugger hasn't been nearly as good as he was in 2025 in what was a breakout season, when he slashed .288/.368/.544 with a .912 OPS, a career-high 25 home runs, 73 RBI, 61 runs scored, and five stolen bases in his 117 games. He heads to the IL on Tuesday with a .242/.327/.462 slash line in 2026 with a .788 OPS, 16 long balls, 52 RBI, 44 runs, and a stolen base in 94 games played across 399 plate appearances. Stowers is still a young power-hitting outfielder worth stashing in most fantasy leagues, and he could be ready to return when he's eligible in 10 days.

Kyle Stowers Exits with Hamstring Injury

Miami Marlins first baseman/outfielder Kyle Stowers (hamstring) was forced to make an early exit from Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Angels. According to Craig Mish, Stowers was pulled in the fifth inning due to left hamstring discomfort. He appeared to tweak his hamstring while running out a single in the fifth inning. Before leaving, Stowers went 2-for-4 with a single, triple, and two RBI. The assumption is that Stowers will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury. Leo Jimenez replaced him at first base and could see increased playing time if Stowers misses any action. Fantasy managers should check back for another update on his status.

Kyle Stowers Stays Hot With Two-Homer Game on Friday

Miami Marlins first baseman/outfielder Kyle Stowers' bat is starting to heat up as the weather warms. In the Marlins' 12-5 win on the road in Sacramento against the Athletics on Friday night, he went 4-for-5 at the plate with two home runs, three RBI, and three runs scored to boost his season average to .243 and his OPS to .787. Both long balls were light-tower shots into the night at hitter-friendly Sutter Health Park. After a slow start offensively following his breakout season in 2025, the 28-year-old left-handed hitter has come alive of late, going 20-for-58 (.345) with five home runs, five doubles, two triples, 15 RBI, and 12 runs scored in 15 games across 67 plate appearances. The strong stretch for the former Stanford product has boosted his overall line in 2026 to .243/.330/.457, and he's added 10 home runs, 37 RBI, 33 runs scored, and a stolen base in his 243 at-bats. Fantasy managers need to ride the wave with Stowers' power while he remains hot.

Kyle Stowers Re-Emerging as a Priority Power Target on the Waiver Wire

After a breakout 2025 season in which he hit .288 with 25 home runs across 457 plate appearances, Miami Marlins outfielder Kyle Stowers has largely struggled to repeat his performance in 2026. Across 227 plate appearances this year, the 28-year-old is hitting .223/.319/.418 with eight home runs, 28 RBI, 25 runs scored, and one stolen base. Stowers missed the first few weeks of the season after suffering a hamstring injury in Spring Training and then got off to a brutal start, hitting .221 with three home runs across 152 plate appearances through the end of May. However, the lefty slugger has begun to heat up in June. Across 75 plate appearances this Month, Stowers has slugged .541 and has already clubbed five home runs. While his 30% strikeout rate limits his batting average upside, Stowers owns a 14.3% barrel rate and 50.6% hard-hit rate for his career. With the injury now in his rearview mirror, Stowers is re-emerging as a high-end power asset on the waiver wire.

Will Kyle Stowers' Two-Homer Game on Wednesday Get him Going?

Miami Marlins outfielder Kyle Stowers led the way on Wednesday in the team's 12-4 win over the division-rival Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park, going 4-for-5 with two home runs, a double, five RBI, and a strikeout to boost his season average to .226 and his OPS to .719. Stowers clubbed two of the team's five long balls on the day for his second multi-homer game of the 2026 season. The 28-year-old former second-round pick by the Baltimore Orioles in 2019 out of Stanford University was a first-time All-Star in 2025 in his first full year in Miami, when he hit .288/.368/.544 with a .912 OPS, 25 home runs, 73 RBI, 61 runs, and five steals in 117 games played. Stowers hasn't been nearly as good so far in 2026, though, as he's slashing .226/.308/.411 with seven home runs, 27 RBI, and 23 runs scored in 51 games after his outburst on Wednesday. Hopefully, his two-homer game against the Phils will get him going. Stowers was 9-for-49 (.184) with two homers, a double, a triple, 11 RBI, four runs, five walks, and 20 K's in 13 games in June going into Wednesday.

Kyle Stowers Extends Hitting Streak to Five Games With Two-Homer Performance

Miami Marlins outfielder Kyle Stowers extended his hitting streak to five games in Thursday's 9-3 loss to the division-rival Atlanta Braves by going 2-for-4 with two solo home runs to boost his season average to .228 and his OPS to .694. It was Stowers' first multi-homer game of the 2026 campaign after he did it an astonishing five times during his breakout 2025 season. The 28-year-old left-handed-hitting outfielder has gone 6-for-18 (.333) with two homers, a double, five RBI, and five runs scored during his current five-game hitting streak, and fantasy managers are really hoping that this is the start of Stowers hitting more like he did last season. So far in his second full season in Miami, the former second-rounder of the Baltimore Orioles in 2019 out of Stanford has struggled to a .228/.328/.366 slash line with a .694 OPS, only three home runs, eight RBI, 15 runs scored, and a stolen base in his 101 at-bats.

Kyle Stowers Offically Activated, Making Season Debut on Sunday

The Miami Marlins announced on Sunday that they officially activated outfielder Kyle Stowers (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list and optioned infielder Deyvison De Los Santos to Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move. Stowers is making his 2026 season debut on Sunday in the series finale against the visiting Milwaukee Brewers and right-hander Jacob Misiorowski, playing left field and batting cleanup for the Fish. The 28-year-old All-Star tweaked his hamstring late in spring training and opened the year on the IL, but now he's back and hoping to pick up where he left off in a breakout 2025 season. Stowers, a former second-round pick out of Stanford in 2019, was Miami's lone All-Star representative last year and finished with a .288/.386/.544 slash line, .912 OPS, 25 home runs, 73 RBI, 61 runs, and five steals in 117 games played. Stowers will hit in the heart of the order for the Marlins and needs to be rostered in all fantasy baseball leagues.

Kyle Stowers Will be Activated on Sunday

Miami Marlins outfielder Kyle Stowers (hamstring) will be activated from the 10-day injured list on Sunday, according to manager Clayton McCullough. The 28-year-old has missed the entire 2026 season due to a right hamstring injury that he sustained during Spring Training. After battling back in March, he reaggravated the injury while rounding the bases in a split-squad game against the Astros. After that, the team announced that he would get some opportunities to play first base upon his return. During his five-game minor-league rehab assignment, he only started there once, so it's unclear if and when he will get that opportunity this season. All that being said, fantasy managers should be excited to have the power-hitting Stowers back in their lineup, as he looks to build off a successful 2025 season where he hit 25 home runs.

Return From Injured List Imminent for Kyle Stowers?

Miami Marlins manager Clayton McCullough said that outfielder Kyle Stowers (hamstring) will play on his minor-league rehab assignment on Friday night, according to Craig Mish of Sports Grid. The team's medical staff will talk with Stowers after the game to see how he feels, but it sounds like his return could be imminent if all goes well. Stowers, who was Miami's lone All-Star representative in 2025, has yet to play in 2026 due to a right-hamstring strain that he suffered late in spring training in March. The 28-year-old left-handed slugger has just two hits in 15 at-bats with six strikeouts and no walks in his three rehab games to this point, but fantasy managers shouldn't really be concerned with that. When reinstated from the IL, Stowers will operate as the Marlins' starting left fielder. If he's somehow available on your league's waiver wire, scoop him up immediately. Stowers hit .288/.368/.544 with a .912 OPS, 25 home runs, 73 RBI, 61 runs scored, and five stolen bases in 117 games last year in his first full season in the majors.
