Kyle Stowers Extends Hitting Streak to Five Games With Two-Homer Performance

Miami Marlins outfielder Kyle Stowers extended his hitting streak to five games in Thursday's 9-3 loss to the division-rival Atlanta Braves by going 2-for-4 with two solo home runs to boost his season average to .228 and his OPS to .694. It was Stowers' first multi-homer game of the 2026 campaign after he did it an astonishing five times during his breakout 2025 season. The 28-year-old left-handed-hitting outfielder has gone 6-for-18 (.333) with two homers, a double, five RBI, and five runs scored during his current five-game hitting streak, and fantasy managers are really hoping that this is the start of Stowers hitting more like he did last season. So far in his second full season in Miami, the former second-rounder of the Baltimore Orioles in 2019 out of Stanford has struggled to a .228/.328/.366 slash line with a .694 OPS, only three home runs, eight RBI, 15 runs scored, and a stolen base in his 101 at-bats.

Kyle Stowers Offically Activated, Making Season Debut on Sunday

The Miami Marlins announced on Sunday that they officially activated outfielder Kyle Stowers (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list and optioned infielder Deyvison De Los Santos to Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move. Stowers is making his 2026 season debut on Sunday in the series finale against the visiting Milwaukee Brewers and right-hander Jacob Misiorowski, playing left field and batting cleanup for the Fish. The 28-year-old All-Star tweaked his hamstring late in spring training and opened the year on the IL, but now he's back and hoping to pick up where he left off in a breakout 2025 season. Stowers, a former second-round pick out of Stanford in 2019, was Miami's lone All-Star representative last year and finished with a .288/.386/.544 slash line, .912 OPS, 25 home runs, 73 RBI, 61 runs, and five steals in 117 games played. Stowers will hit in the heart of the order for the Marlins and needs to be rostered in all fantasy baseball leagues.

Kyle Stowers Will be Activated on Sunday

Miami Marlins outfielder Kyle Stowers (hamstring) will be activated from the 10-day injured list on Sunday, according to manager Clayton McCullough. The 28-year-old has missed the entire 2026 season due to a right hamstring injury that he sustained during Spring Training. After battling back in March, he reaggravated the injury while rounding the bases in a split-squad game against the Astros. After that, the team announced that he would get some opportunities to play first base upon his return. During his five-game minor-league rehab assignment, he only started there once, so it's unclear if and when he will get that opportunity this season. All that being said, fantasy managers should be excited to have the power-hitting Stowers back in their lineup, as he looks to build off a successful 2025 season where he hit 25 home runs.

Return From Injured List Imminent for Kyle Stowers?

Miami Marlins manager Clayton McCullough said that outfielder Kyle Stowers (hamstring) will play on his minor-league rehab assignment on Friday night, according to Craig Mish of Sports Grid. The team's medical staff will talk with Stowers after the game to see how he feels, but it sounds like his return could be imminent if all goes well. Stowers, who was Miami's lone All-Star representative in 2025, has yet to play in 2026 due to a right-hamstring strain that he suffered late in spring training in March. The 28-year-old left-handed slugger has just two hits in 15 at-bats with six strikeouts and no walks in his three rehab games to this point, but fantasy managers shouldn't really be concerned with that. When reinstated from the IL, Stowers will operate as the Marlins' starting left fielder. If he's somehow available on your league's waiver wire, scoop him up immediately. Stowers hit .288/.368/.544 with a .912 OPS, 25 home runs, 73 RBI, 61 runs scored, and five stolen bases in 117 games last year in his first full season in the majors.

Kyle Stowers to Begin Rehab Assignment on Friday

Miami Marlins outfielder Kyle Stowers (hamstring) will officially begin his minor-league rehab assignment on Friday with Triple-A Jacksonville, according to Christina De Nicola of MLB.com. Stowers will then take Saturday off before returning to action with the Jumbo Shrimp on Sunday. The left-handed-hitting outfielder started the 2026 season on the 10-day injured list due to a right-hamstring strain that he suffered in spring training in March. The 28-year-old former second-round pick by the Baltimore Orioles out of Stanford in 2019 should be rostered in all fantasy leagues while he recovers from his hamstring injury. In an effort to keep Stowers healthy, the Marlins are considering using him as a first baseman, and he could see action there during his rehab assignment. Stowers was Miami's lone All-Star representative in 2025 and hit an impressive .288/.368/.544 with a .912 OPS, 25 home runs, 73 RBI, 61 runs scored, and five steals in 457 plate appearances. If Stowers can avoid further injuries, he has clear 30-homer power from the left side.

Kyle Stowers Could Begin Rehab Assignment This Weekend

Miami Marlins manager Clayton McCullough said that outfielder Kyle Stowers (hamstring) is close to beginning a minor-league rehab assignment, and he could be playing in games on the farm as soon as this weekend, according to Craig Mish of Sports Grid. The 28-year-old was a Gold Glove finalist in left field last year in his breakout campaign with the Fish, but McCullough also said on Wednesday that the Marlins will consider using him at first base this year, and we could see him play the position on his rehab assignment. It could be a way to keep Stowers healthy the rest of the season after he suffered a hamstring strain in spring training that caused him to open the 2026 season on the 10-day injured list. Christopher Morel (oblique) is also on the IL, so Stowers could be an immediate option at first if he returns before Morel. Stowers, a first-time All-Star in 2025, hit 25 homers and drove in 73 in 117 games in Miami in 2025 and needs to be stashed in all fantasy leagues while we wait for him to make his 2026 debut.

A "Possibility" Kyle Stowers Will Play First Base This Year

Miami Marlins manager Clayton McCullough called it a "possibility" that outfielder Kyle Stowers (hamstring) will play first base this year, possibly as early as his minor-league rehab assignment, according to Kevin Barral of Fish On First. Stowers is approaching a rehab assignment after going through a workout on Wednesday. The left-handed slugger has never appeared at first base as a professional, but it could be a way for the Fish to keep him healthy for the long run. A right-hamstring strain forced Stowers to the 10-day injured list to begin the 2026 season. The 28-year-old former second-round pick by the Baltimore Orioles in 2019 out of Stanford was the Marlins' lone All-Star representative in 2025 after a breakout campaign that saw him hit .288/.368/.544 with a .912 OPS, 25 home runs, 73 RBI, 61 runs scored, and five steals in 117 games played. Durability is a major concern, but Stowers deserves to be stashed in all fantasy leagues as he looks for an encore in 2026.

Kyle Stowers Doing Baseball Activities

Miami Marlins outfielder Kyle Stowers (hamstring), who began the 2026 season on the 10-day injured list with a Grade 1 right-hamstring strain, threw, hit, and ran during a workout on Wednesday as he builds up his workload and intensity, according to Christina De Nicola of MLB.com. The plan is for the Marlins to reassess Stowers in three to four weeks. He strained his hamstring earlier this spring and then left last Friday's split-squad game against the Houston Astros with tightness in the same hamstring. Stowers' 2025 breakout season also ended prematurely last August when he suffered a left-oblique strain, but he had already managed to hit 25 home runs and drive in 73 runs in 117 games to establish himself as one of the National League's top hitters. The Marlins signed veteran Austin Slater to help give them additional outfield depth with Stowers out. Durability concerns are real for Stowers, but he is a must-stash in all fantasy formats as the Marlins hitter with the most upside in 2026.

Kyle Stowers Placed on Injured List with Hamstring Strain

Miami Marlins outfielder Kyle Stowers (hamstring) has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain and will open the 2026 regular season on the injured list, according to Christina De Nicola of MLB.com. Stowers had left Friday's game early with hamstring tightness, and he's now expected to miss 3-4 weeks. That's a crushing blow for the Marlins, given that Stowers was projected to be their No. 3 hitter and everyday left fielder. He was spectacular at the plate last season, slashing .288/.368/.544 with 25 home runs, 73 RBI, and 149 wRC+. Injuries have been the biggest obstacle in his career so far, and now, he's going to be sidelined for Opening Day in 2026. Griffin Conine, Javier Sanoja, and Heriberto Hernandez will likely platoon in left field until Stowers is able to return in mid-to-late April.

Kyle Stowers Leaves Friday's Game With Hamstring Tightness

Miami Marlins outfielder Kyle Stowers (hamstring) was pulled from Friday's Grapefruit League game early with right-hamstring tightness, according to Christina De Nicola of MLB.com. Stowers missed one to two weeks earlier this spring with a strained hamstring, so it looks like he's suffered a setback with less than a week until Opening Day. The 28-year-old left-handed slugger injured his hamstring in late February and finally made his return to the outfield in spring training last weekend. It's unclear exactly how serious his injury is, but at this point, it would be a surprise if he doesn't start the 2026 season on the injured list. It puts a damper on Stowers' 2026 fantasy value after he broke out in 2025 to the tune of a .288/.368/.544 slash line with a .912 OPS, 25 home runs, 73 RBI, 61 runs, and five stolen bases in 117 games. He was Miami's lone All-Star representative and has a bright future ahead of him with intriguing batted-ball metrics. Stowers deserves to be stashed in all fantasy formats, but injury concerns aren't going away.
