Carlos Lagrange an Emerging Arm in Yankees System

New York Yankees right-handed pitching prospect Carlos Lagrange is an emerging arm in their system and could debut in the majors in 2026. The 22-year-old spent the 2025 campaign with High-A and Double-A, logging 120 total innings. With High-A, the right-hander posted a 4.10 ERA with a 1.03 WHIP across 41 2/3 innings of work. During this stint, Lagrange struck out 64 batters while allowing just 12 free passes. During his first look at Double-A, Lagrange posted an impressive 3.22 ERA with a slightly higher 1.29 WHIP. He struck out 104 batters through 78 1/3 innings but served up a much higher 50 walks. While Lagrange won't be in a position to break camp with the MLB roster, he could begin the 2026 season with Triple-A, opening the door for a first-half MLB debut.

Carlos Lagrange Returns to Form on Sunday

New York Yankees right-handed pitching prospect Carlos Lagrange tossed five innings of one-run ball during their contest against Double-A Hartford on Sunday. In this outing, Lagrange struck out five hitters and allowed only one walk. This was a much-needed bounce-back outing for Lagrange as he held a 3.91 ERA with a high 1.57 WHIP over his last 23 innings of work. However, before this brief skid, Lagrange was flashing immense upside, striking out 41 hitters over his last 25 2/3 innings. During this stretch, Lagrange posted a 2.01 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP. Overall, across his first 63 2/3 innings at Double-A, Lagrange has had a 3.68 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP. The 22-year-old could be in the mix to earn a brief taste of Triple-A late in the regular season.

Carlos Lagrange Overpowering Double-A Hitters, Command Still Lagging

New York Yankees pitching prospect Carlos Lagrange is overwhelming Double-A hitters with elite velocity and strikeout stuff. The 6-foot-7 flamethrower has racked up 49 strikeouts in just 35 2/3 innings for Somerset, allowing only 20 hits and issuing 22 walks. While opponents can hardly touch him, his 3.79 ERA reflects inconsistent command, with a walk rate nearing 15%. If his control improves, Lagrange touches 102 mph and profiles as a high-octane starter or late-inning weapon. Already rising into top-100 prospect status, he's a high-risk, high-reward dynasty stash with electric upside. If he finds the zone, a Bronx call-up could come quickly.

Carlos Lagrange Displaying Strikeout Potential

New York Yankees pitching prospect Carlos Lagrange has tallied the second-most strikeouts in the minors over the first half of the season with 113. Tallying 77 1/3 innings pitched and 315 total batters faced, it works out to a 13.15 K/9 and 35.9 percent strikeout rate for the Yanks' 17th-ranked prospect. The 6-foot-7 hurler features a big fastball that sits in the high 90s along with a solid sweeper, but can be erratic with command. He came into the season with a 14.9 percent walk rate, but was able to drop it way down to 7.1 percent during his time at High-A (eight starts, 41 2/3 IP), which helped earn the 22-year-old a promotion to Double-A. Unfortunately, the command issues have resurfaced at Double-A, logging a 15.0 percent walk rate over seven appearances and 35 2/3 IP, although the righty was able to post a 3.79 ERA and 1.18 WHIP. There's a chance he could see some time at Triple-A before the season is out and could make a debut next year, but if he can't rein in the walks, a transition to the bullpen could be in his future.

Carlos Lagrange Continues Impressive Stretch

New York Yankees right-handed pitching prospect Carlos Lagrange has continued to impress at Double-A Somerset. In his most recent outing on July 8, the No. 17-ranked prospect in the system on MLB.com logged 5 1/3 innings of one-run ball with eight strikeouts. In this outing, Lagrange served up four walks and allowed just two hits. Since allowing five runs on June 12, Lagrange has gone on to post an impressive 2.61 ERA with a 1.16 WHIP over his last four outings. Across these 20 2/3 innings, Lagrange has struck out 34 hitters while allowing 15 walks. The 22-year-old opened the season with High-A but was able to earn the call to Double-A after posting a 4.10 ERA across 41 2/3 innings. Despite his recent dominant stretch, fantasy managers should expect Lagrange to remain at Double-A through the remainder of the second half.

Carlos Lagrange Punches Out 10 in Latest Start

New York Yankees right-handed pitching prospect Carlos Lagrange struck out 10 batters across six innings of one-run ball en route to picking up the victory over Double-A Reading on Wednesday evening. In this outing, Lagrange walked only two batters. Over his last three outings, Lagrange has hit the double-digit strikeout mark twice. Lagrange opened the season with High-A but needed only 41 2/3 innings ot prove he was ready to make the jump to Double-A. Through his stint at High-A, Lagrange has struck out 64 batters while holding a modest 4.10 ERA. In his first 25 1/3 innings of work at Double-A, the No. 17-ranked prospect in the Yankee system has held a similar 4.97 ERA but has continued to flash high strikeout upside, tallying 34 over this stretch. Fantasy managers should expect Lagrange to spend the remainder of the season with Double-A Somerset.

Carlos Lagrange Strikes Out 12 Batters on Thursday

New York Yankees right-handed pitching prospect Carlos Lagrange tossed 5 1/3 innings of one-run ball en route to picking up the victory over Double-A New Hampshire on Thursday. In this outing, Lagrange struck out a season-high 12 batters and allowed just three hits and two walks. This was a much-needed bounce-back offering for Lagrange, as he allowed five runs in his last start. Before this impressive outing, Lagrange held a modest 4.87 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and a 40:12 K:BB through his last 32 innings of work. The 22-year-old began the season with High-A but was able to earn an early promotion to Double-A. Given his inconsistencies at Double-A, fantasy managers should not expect him to contend for a Triple-A promotion during the season. The No. 17-ranked prospect in the system should be in the mix to reach the majors in 2026.
