Jasson Dominguez Finding His Form, Can He Help Your Lineup?

New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez is back in a regular role for the Yankees in the middle of the lineup. He has picked up 14 hits in his last 17 games, with six of them going for extra bases. Over that stretch, he has two homers, four doubles, and a .278 wOBA. He also added five stolen bases in that span, showing some sneaky speed upside. Dominguez is only hitting .209 on the season and has 17 strikeouts in his last 17 games. In AL-only or very deep leagues, his speed and power potential make him a fringe option for rosters right now, with the upside for more power as he finds his way in the MLB. The 23-year-old has elite power potential as a prospect, but he has yet to prove he's ready to deliver that regularly at this point in his career. His regular role in a very productive batting order, though, should help him post good counting stats, especially once Aaron Judge returns to the lineup.

Jasson Dominguez a Priority Target in Five-Outfielder Formats

New York Yankees switch-hitter Jasson Dominguez has struggled mightily in 2026, slashing .214/.250/.405 with three home runs, eight RBI, four stolen bases, and only seven runs scored. Dominguez has seen a massive increase in playing time and opportunity due to injuries to Yankees outfielders Aaron Judge (ribs) and Giancarlo Stanton (calf), and, unfortunately, has not been able to do much with it. That being said, Dominguez is playing every day in a Yankees lineup, and has the prospect pedigree that makes him a higher-upside stash than others in a five-outfielder format. In his last full season at the Minor league level in 2024, Dominguez slashed .314/.375/.504, and last season with the Yankees he slashed .257/.331/.388 with 23 stolen bases. He has the upside to become a five-category contributor; he just hasn't been playing to his potential. Fantasy managers in deeper formats where five outfielders are required should continue to take a shot on Dominguez simply based on his upside compared to what else may be available in deeper leagues.

Is Jasson Dominguez a Must-Add Outfielder with Everyday Playing Time in New York?

After spending the first month of the 2026 season at Triple-A, New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez suffered a shoulder injury in early May that caused him to miss another month. However, the 23-year-old is back to full health, and injuries to Yankees outfielders Aaron Judge (ribs), Trent Grisham (hamstring), and Giancarlo Stanton (calf) have opened the door for Dominguez to see everyday playing time. Across a small sample size of 62 MLB plate appearances this year, Dominguez is hitting .241/.279/.431 with two home runs, five RBI, six runs scored, and three stolen bases. The former top prospect flashed upside across 429 plate appearances with the Yankees in 2025, hitting .256 with 10 home runs and 23 stolen bases. Defense and the crowded outfield picture in New York have always been the limiting factors for Dominguez's playing time, but he should have an extended runway to prove himself this time around. With consistent at-bats, Dominguez offers the potential for five-category production and is worth a look on the waiver wire for fantasy managers.

Jasson Dominguez Back in Yankees Lineup on Wednesday

New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez (mouth) is starting in right field and will bat fifth for Wednesday's game against the visiting Chicago White Sox and left-hander Anthony Kay, according to MLB.com. Dominguez had a tooth pulled on Tuesday and sat out, but the switch-hitting Dominican will be back in there a day later in the Bronx. The Martian returned from the injured list over the weekend after recovering from a sprained shoulder, and he is in line to play every day for the Yankees with all of Aaron Judge (ribs), Trent Grisham (hamstring), and Giancarlo Stanton (calf) all on the IL. After not beginning the year on the Opening Day roster, Dominguez has only appeared in 11 games for the Yankees in 2026, going 8-for-38 (.211) with two home runs, five RBI, and five runs scored in 41 plate appearances. He has yet to deliver on his prospect hype since debuting in pinstripes in 2023, but his power/speed upside and everyday opportunity in the short term make him attractive in deeper fantasy leagues. He's currently rostered in 13% of Yahoo leagues.

Jasson Dominguez Out After Having Tooth Pulled

New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez (mouth) is sitting out of the starting lineup on Tuesday at home against the visiting Chicago White Sox after he had a tooth pulled earlier in the day, according to MLB.com. With Dominguez starting on the bench, Jose Caballero will make the start in right field and will bat sixth against White Sox right-hander Davis Martin. The 23-year-old just came off the injured list over the weekend after recovering from a shoulder strain. The Dominican switch-hitter should be back in action on Wednesday, and he should be a regular for the Yankees now that he's recovered from his shoulder injury with Aaron Judge (ribs), Trent Grisham (hamstring), and Giancarlo Stanton (calf) all sidelined. Dominguez has yet to reach his full potential at the major-league level, but at least in the short term, he'll have the opportunity to do damage, making him a deep-league option. In only 11 games for the Yanks this year, Dominguez has gone 8-for-38 (.211) with two homers, three doubles, five RBI, five runs, two walks, and six strikeouts.

Jasson Dominguez Could Sit Out After Having Tooth Pulled

New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone told Talkin' Yanks that outfielder Jasson Dominguez (tooth) had a tooth pulled on Tuesday, and no decision has been made on whether he will start against the visiting Chicago White Sox and right-hander Davis Martin in the Bronx. The 23-year-old switch-hitting Dominican returned from the injured list over the weekend following a shoulder injury, and he will be an everyday player for the Yankees going forward with Aaron Judge (ribs) and Giancarlo Stanton (calf) still sidelined. The Martian has teased power/speed upside since entering the big leagues in 2023, but he has failed to deliver. He's played in only 11 games in pinstripes in 2026 and has gone 8-for-38 (.211) with two homers, three doubles, five RBI, five runs scored, two walks, and six strikeouts in his 41 plate appearances. As long as he's playing regularly, though, he'll have value in deep-mixed fantasy leagues in the Bronx. Dominguez is currently rostered in 13% of Yahoo leagues.

Jasson Dominguez Back From Injured List, Set to Play Regularly

The New York Yankees announced on Saturday that they reinstated outfielder Jasson Dominguez (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list after they placed outfielder Trent Grisham (hamstring) on the 10-day IL with a right-hamstring strain. Dominguez is back after spraining the AC joint in his left shoulder in early May. With Grisham, Giancarlo Stanton (calf), and Aaron Judge (rib) all sidelined, Dominguez should see everyday playing time in the Bronx, beginning on Saturday in Toronto against the division-rival Blue Jays and right-hander Kevin Gausman. During a five-game minor-league rehab stint with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Dominguez went 5-for-18 at the plate with two home runs, three RBI, and two steals. The 23-year-old Dominican switch-hitter didn't make the Yankees' Opening Day roster and has only played in nine games in pinstripes in 2026, going 6-for-30 (.200) with a homer and four RBI. But with regular playing time coming his way now and plenty of power/speed upside, Dominguez should be a popular waiver-wire pickup. He's currently rostered in only 10% of Yahoo leagues.

Jasson Dominguez to Begin Rehab Assignment, a Top Stash Ahead of Return?

The New York Yankees announced that outfielder Jasson Dominguez (shoulder) is starting a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday. Barring a setback on his rehab assignment, Dominguez could return to the Yankees' big-league roster at some point late next week. The 23-year-old Dominican switch-hitter is recovering from a left-shoulder AC joint sprain that he suffered when he crashed into the outfield wall. The Yankees placed superstar outfielder Aaron Judge (rib) on the IL on Friday, and he could be sidelined through the mid-July All-Star break due to a stress fracture in his rib. With Giancarlo Stanton (calf) still sidelined as well, Dominguez figures to play regularly in the Yankees' outfield once he returns. The Martian didn't make the Opening Day roster out of spring training and only played in nine games for the Yanks before his shoulder injury, going 6-for-30 (.200). Still, Dominguez has enough power/speed upside to be attractive as a waiver-wire pickup in at least deep-mixed fantasy leagues. He is rostered in under 10% of Yahoo leagues right now.

Jasson Dominguez Could Start a Rehab Assignment Next Week

New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez (shoulder) suffered a left-shoulder AC joint sprain when he crashed into the outfield wall while making a catch on May 7 and was placed on the 10-day injured list a day later. He received a platelet-rich plasma injection on May 11 and advanced from pool and weight-room activities to hitting off a tee on May 20. Dominguez did more tee and toss work on May 22 and could start a minor-league rehab assignment in the first week of June, according to MLB.com. Barring a setback once Dominguez resumes playing in games in the minors, he could potentially be ready to rejoin the major-league roster by the end of next weekend or the following week. Giancarlo Stanton (calf) is going slower in his rehab, so Dominguez could have an opening for some playing time in the Bronx when he's reinstated. The 23-year-old switch-hitting Dominican didn't make the Opening Day roster and has appeared in only nine games this year, going 6-for-30 (.200) with a homer and four RBI. The former top prospect isn't guaranteed anything upon his return, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him go back to the minors, too.

Jasson Dominguez Feeling Better, Increasing his Activities

New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez (shoulder) is doing better after receiving a platelet-rich plasma injection, according to the New York Daily News' Gary Phillips. Domiguez has been swinging in the pool and working out in the weight room as he works his way back from an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder that he suffered during an outstanding catch when he crashed into the outfield wall back on May 7. The 23-year-old had a PRP shot on May 13 and is trending in the right direction, but the Martian isn't expected to be ready to come off the 10-day injured list until early June, at the earliest. Veteran outfielder/designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton (calf) is also on the IL, so rookie outfielder Spencer Jones has been playing regularly in the Bronx against right-handed pitchers, although he's hitting just .167 (3-for-18) with two RBI, three walks, and nine strikeouts in his first seven MLB games. Dominguez won't be guaranteed regular playing time in New York when he's activated, and he could be sent back down to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The Dominican switch-hitter went 6-for-30 (.200) with a homer, four RBI, and three runs scored in only nine games with the Yankees before getting hurt.
