Carlos Rodon to Return on Tuesday Against Baltimore

New York Yankees left-hander Carlos Rodon (elbow) will come off the 15-day injured list on Tuesday to start against the division-rival Baltimore Orioles, according to Meredith Marakovits of the Yes Network. Rodon will be making his return to New York's starting rotation for the first time since going on the IL in early July with inflammation in his left elbow. The 33-year-old three-time All-Star will be returning to a 4-2 record, 3.30 ERA (3.43 FIP), 1.25 WHIP, and 52:26 K:BB in 46 1/3 innings pitched across his nine starts in 2026. Rodon got a late start to the season after having surgery last October to remove bone chips from his left elbow, but when he has been healthy, he has been strong for fantasy managers. He is returning to a solid matchup against Baltimore on Tuesday, but he is unlikely to provide much length after throwing only 58 pitches in 4 1/3 shutout innings at Double-A Somerset in his minor-league rehab start last week. Rodon has not allowed more than three earned runs in any of his nine major-league starts this year and has had seven strikeouts in three of his last starts with the Yankees. He is currently rostered in 83% of Yahoo leagues.

Carlos Rodon Registers Seven Strikeouts in Rehab Start

New York Yankees starting pitcher Carlos Rodon (elbow) made his second rehab start with Double-A Somerset on Thursday. The southpaw tossed 4.1 scoreless innings, allowing two hits, while striking out seven batters. This is a much better outing after Rodon gave up three runs across 2.2 innings of work with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday. He was able to work up his pitch count to 58 pitches on Thursday. He's likely to need one more rehab start to continue building up his stamina, but the team hasn't made an official announcement yet. Rodon has been out since early July due to left elbow inflammation, but he appears to be on the verge of returning.

Carlos Rodon to Make Another Rehab Start

New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone told Talkin' Yanks that left-hander Carlos Rodon (elbow) will make another minor-league rehab start on either Thursday or Friday. In his first rehab start on Saturday with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Rodon allowed three runs with two walks in 2 2/3 innings pitched. He was only able to throw 46 pitches over the weekend, so the Yankees want to get the veteran southpaw a little bit more stretched out before reinstating him from the 15-day injured list to rejoin the big-league starting rotation. Rodon is recovering from left-elbow inflammation after also getting a late start to the 2026 season following surgery last October to have loose bodies removed from his elbow. When available this year, the three-time All-Star has been solid for fantasy managers, going 4-2 with a 3.30 ERA (3.44 FIP) and 1.25 WHIP with 52 strikeouts and 26 walks in 46 1/3 innings across his nine starts. Rodon's career-high 13.4% walk rate isn't pretty, but he still has the swing-and-miss stuff to make a difference down the stretch if he can bounce back from his latest elbow injury. He's rostered in over 80% of Yahoo leagues.

Carlos Rodon Tagged for Three Runs During Rehab Start

New York Yankees starting pitcher Carlos Rodon (elbow) made his first rehab start with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday. It didn't go great for Rodon, who gave up three runs on three hits across 2.2 innings of work. There was some positive as well with Rodon striking out four batters on Saturday. This was the first time that Rodon has thrown on a mound since landing on the Injured List on June 3 due to left elbow inflammation. The expectation is that Rodon will need at least one more start before being cleared to return to the Yankees' starting rotation. If he's available, fantasy managers should stash him with Rodon likely returning to the big league mound before the end of August.

Carlos Rodon Set to Make Rehab Start on Saturday

New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that starting pitcher Carlos Rodon (elbow) is expected to make a minor league rehab start on Saturday, according to Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News. The veteran left-hander has been on the injured list since late June due to elbow inflammation. He also missed the beginning of the 2026 season after undergoing offseason elbow surgery, so he's thrown just 46 1/3 innings (nine starts) on the year. However, Rodon has been effective when healthy, recording a 4-2 record with a 3.30 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and 52 strikeouts. Rodon's spotty command and questionable health track record are both concerns for fantasy managers. However, he remains an above-average source of strikeouts who has shown he can put together dominant stretches in the big leagues. With his return to the Yankees rotation potentially imminent, Rodon profiles as a priority waiver wire stash in leagues where he is available.

Carlos Rodon Could Move to Rehab Assignment Next

New York Yankees left-hander Carlos Rodon (elbow) threw to live hitters at Yankee Stadium on Monday and could go out on a minor-league rehab assignment next, according to Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record. Rodon threw roughly 40 pitches during his session on Monday, and he could make a rehab start this Saturday. He's been out since June 28 with inflammation in his left elbow, but Rodon is nearing his return to New York's starting rotation and should be scooped up if he's available in any fantasy leagues. Barring a setback after making a couple of rehab starts most likely, Rodon could be back with the Yankees by the end of August. The 33-year-old veteran southpaw and three-time All-Star got a late start in 2026 after having surgery to remove loose bodies from his elbow last October, but he's been solid in his nine starts, going 4-2 with a 3.30 ERA (3.44 FIP) and 1.25 WHIP with 52 strikeouts and 26 walks in 46 1/3 innings. Rodon does have a career-high 13.4% walk rate, but his 26.8% strikeout rate is his highest mark since 2022 with the San Francisco Giants.

Carlos Rodon Could be on Verge of Rehab Assignment

New York Yankees left-hander Carlos Rodon (elbow) faced hitters in a "two-up" session of around 30 pitches on Wednesday, July 29, with Double-A Somerset, and "by all accounts, it went well," according to manager Aaron Boone. The skipper said it's still unclear if Rodon's next outing will come in a minor-league rehab game. The 33-year-old southpaw was placed on the 15-day injured list (retroactive to June 30) on July 3 with left-elbow inflammation, but he could return in early August if he avoids setbacks on his rehab assignment. Rodon should be stashed in an IL spot in most fantasy leagues (he's rostered in 82% of Yahoo leagues), especially with his return potentially not far off. He got a late start in 2026 after having surgery last October to remove loose bodies from his elbow, but he's been solid when available for the Yankees this year, going 4-2 with a 3.30 ERA (3.45 FIP) and 1.25 WHIP with 52 strikeouts and 26 walks in 46 1/3 innings over nine starts. The three-time All-Star can help nearly all fantasy teams down the stretch if he's healthy.

Carlos Rodon to Throw on Saturday

New York Yankees starting pitcher Carlos Rodon (elbow) is scheduled to throw a two-up side session on Saturday, according to Gary Phillips. If everything goes well, Rodon could be cleared to throw a live bullpen session next week. He has been sidelined since July 3 due to left elbow inflammation. Given the length of his Injured List stint, Rodon is likely going to need at least one minor league rehab start before returning to the Yankees rotation. Barring any setbacks, Rodon should be able to contribute to the Yankees' rotation again in mid-August. There should be more updates on his status as he continues to progress.

Carlos Rodon Receives Second Round of Injections

New York Yankees starting pitcher Carlos Rodon (elbow) received his second round of shots, including another PRP injection on Friday. The southpaw threw 10 pitches off the mound on Friday and could progress to a full bullpen session this week. Rodon is working his way back from left elbow inflammation that has kept him sidelined since late June. There is currently no official timetable for Rodon's return to the rotation. It'll ultimately depend on his progress, but the hope is that Rodon can return in early August. Fantasy managers should continue to hold the southpaw and hope he can be a contributor in the second half of the season.

Carlos Rodon Could Get Back on a Mound Next Week

New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that left-hander Carlos Rodon (elbow) has had a few good days of throwing, according to the New York Daily News' Gary Phillips. Rodon wasn't scheduled to throw on Sunday, but he will throw just about every day during the All-Star break, and it could include a bullpen session. The 33-year-old three-time All-Star isn't going to be ready to rejoin New York's starting rotation just out of the break next weekend and will most likely need several bullpen sessions before embarking on a minor-league rehab assignment later this month. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect Rodon to be a realistic candidate for a return to New York's starting rotation until August, especially when considering he got a late start to the 2026 season after having surgery on the same elbow last October to remove loose bodies and shave down a bone spur. Despite durability concerns, Rodon can still help fantasy managers in all leagues in the second half after going 4-2 with a 3.30 ERA (3.44 FIP) and 1.25 WHIP with 52 strikeouts and 26 walks in 46 1/3 innings across his nine starts for the Yanks.
