Daniel Robert Re-Signs With Phillies

Free-agent reliever Daniel Robert re-signed a minor-league deal with the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday that includes an invite to major-league spring training camp, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post. Robert missed the final month of the 2025 season with a forearm strain, and it's uncertain if he'll be limited at all for the start of spring training in a couple of weeks. The 31-year-old veteran right-hander made only 15 appearances in relief for the Phillies last year and gave up seven runs (six earned) on 11 hits (two homers) while walking 10 and striking out 15 in 13 innings pitched. He debuted in the big leagues in 2024 with the Texas Rangers, but threw only 5 2/3 frames of relief. Robert was originally a 21st-round selection by the Rangers in 2017 out of Auburn. He won't carry any fantasy value into the 2026 season.

Daniel Robert Lands on the Injured List

Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher Daniel Robert (forearm) was placed on the 15-day injured list on Wednesday due to a right forearm strain. It isn't clear at this point if Robert will return this season or be sidelined the rest of the month. The 31-year-old righty pitched 13 innings in 15 games for the Phillies this season, posting a 4.15 ERA and 5.14 FIP. He was more effective in 28 games in Triple-A for the Rangers and Phillies, compiling a 2.67 ERA and 2.83 FIP in 30 1/3 innings at that level. To fill his roster spot in the bullpen, the Phillies recalled Max Lazar, who had a 4.64 ERA and 4.74 FIP in 33 innings across 29 games for them earlier this season.

Daniel Robert Placed on Injured List with Blister

Philadelphia Phillies reliever Daniel Robert (finger) went on the 15-Day Injured List on Friday with a blister on his right middle finger. It's unclear how much time the right-handed reliever will miss, but blisters can tend to linger in length if they are not completely healed before a player begins pitching again. Robert has struggled as of late, having surrendered five earned runs over his last two appearances. Through twelve games this season, he sports a 27.3% strikeout rate, but an incredibly high 18.2% walk rate. He will look to return at some point this month and remain at the back of the Phillies' bullpen.
